Passover – Selected Excerpts from the Sources. (Mortar and Bricks #100)
1.Rav’s Introduction: (00:32) There is no harder state than the revelation of the servitude in Egypt and the exit from Egypt, because one begins to discover to what extent he is capable of doing everything, except for his intention in order to bestow, except for giving with intention with all of his heart of which he is not capable. This is how it is from nature, this is how we are organized, so that one cannot, but to discover than one cannot, means to discover that he very much wants to, but he cannot. This is precisely our work in Egypt that we need to try to exit these handcuffs, this dungeon of being inside the will to receive, so much so, that it is impossible to get out of it, there are walls and all sides, and I am not capable not in the thought, not in the intention, not in the desire, not in any kind action that it is truly pure, I’m not capable of exciting my ego. Attaining the control of the ego over me to the fullest. This is actually the purpose of the exile in Egypt, the purpose of the rule of the ego of Pharaoh over me. To the extent that we try more and more to attain it, the work of pharaoh, the desire to exit, his control, we see that it is impossible and these actions these efforts these attempts to somehow to try and feel, what does it mean Lishma for her sake?, what does it mean to in order to bestow? what does it mean to exit the nature of this world? It is not understood by the person and the more that he tries, he sees that it is simply prolonged and extended and that he doesn’t understand it, the heart is impervious, the walls of the heart are so thick that you cannot even feel somehow or even to guess, what does spirituality mean?, what is it in order to bestow?, what does it mean outside of one’s heart? It is impossible, so what do we do? Here we can only try to perform actions between the friends this is why it says from the love of people to the love of the Creator so that we by these actions will invite upon ourselves the influence of the upper force the upper light and in such a way that it certainly will change us, it will influence us gradually slowly over a lot of time patiently because we need to get it from above also so that we will not run away from the path and we will try as much as we are thrown out to come back again. This is called to work against the Pharaoh’s guards and to keep going and keep going until to the extent that we come closer between us, all of us together, we will feel how much by this we are gaining something truly special that though that reality in which we exist, through it, we begin to somehow guess, feel, depict to ourselves, imagine to ourselves that there is a different reality, and there I can truly rise above myself, exit myself, disconnect for myself and live in everyone, in others in the friends. This is actually, I start to understand, that this is the exit, the Exodus from Egypt, to the extent that I shift from the phenomenon, from everything that I do expect or hope that it will happen, as much as I depicted that this is happening in others in the world, and later on I can say in the Creator. According to that I can feel that I’m coming closer to the exodus from Egypt. We are together in a special time in our special state the upper force, the only one that operates in all of reality, it is spread over all the matter that it created, each and every detail of this matter that it created it controls and directs it, in all the directions that are needed everyone together and each one separately, and we simply need only to aim ourselves to a state where we will feel how much it is surrounding us and bringing us closer and through that we will perform all of the actions in coming closer between us, internally coming closer between us, we will start by that to understand the Creator this is how he becomes revealed, to the extent that we will have any inclination to be in thought and in the desire to be together, different thoughts, different desires that’s obvious, however that they’re all aimed together to be together specifically because they are different as much as we will connect between them, as much as we will assemble a system of connection between them by that we build a place called the Shechina and in it the Creator will be revealed, as the sum total of our states, of our efforts as the one who connects and feels and holds the connection between us. According to the degree of Arvut mutual help, mutual support, mutual concern that each and every friend will be incorporated between us we will start to feel our Partzuf, the Partzuf our soul, the Partzuf of Adam HaRishon, and in it the Creator who is filling us. This actually is the exodus from Egypt. Let’s hope that we will succeed in that. In our entire great Kli the men, the women, the veterans, the new ones, we have that before us, and it can be realized. Let’s try to succeed as much as we can. That’s it. That’s what I have to say and all the rest, well each one should try more and more and more as much as possible to implement it.
Excerpt #100 (10:07)
2. R. (12:04) This means that those who are going towards, advancing towards the Creator meaning towards the force of bestowal and this is how one is advancing towards the friends because this is where he has to implement it because we attain the Creator in the center of connection between us. So he from one day to the next, feels how much it is not in his hands and in his power, not under his control and seemingly there’s no chance but rather he just continues for a lack of choice is there anywhere to run, there’s nowhere to run. This is considered that Pharaoh shuts them in, inside Egypt you will be here, and you will work with your egoistic desire, and you will know how much this desire is an egoistic desire and it is eating you up and there is something else however you cannot reach that. This is truly the exile, the feeling of the exile. That there is another life in order to bestow, Lishma, connection with the Creator that the point in the heart of each and every one and demands that state the revelation of the Creator, adhesion with the Creator, however, there’s nothing you can do about it, for the time being Pharaoh is in control. This is the hard work that we have in the exile, this is why it is called exile. So I’m reading again the excerpt “and made their life’s bitter with hard work, with mortar and bricks” with mortar, Homer, means that the Egyptians explained to Israel meaning inside the person there are such thoughts the Humra, the severity of bestowal, how much, to bestow is a very difficult state, it is impossible, I cannot feel it, I cannot see it, I cannot implement it. I hear that there is such a thing but what is it? I don’t know. Whereas in the work of the Egyptians, it will always be white, meaning, they will feel no darkness in the work, meaning if I work in the ordinary matter as much as the work I will profit, as much as I tried, I succeed, and the body will agree to this work this is called Levenim, bricks meaning the work of the Egypt is always regarded as Levenim, white without any stains or dirt but they will always be perfect. If I do not think about spirituality that I want to achieve but rather the state that I existing in, inside of my will to receive and working inside my will to receive, as much as I work in it is okay this is how the whole world is and there is no difference just like at work in this world end as much as I have done is earned and I enjoyed the life this is how it continued for one day to the next. But if I demand something beyond that, that is already a problem. So, this is why the work of Egypt is always regarded as Levenim, white. What does it mean white?, without any stains or dirt but the day will always be perfect. Levenim, white is all perfect. I do not feel that there’s something else that I am learning for it that I wanted, and every day I’m eating myself out, where should I reach that? How come I do not have it? But rather there is not a problem. I study, I work, I keep the family, I live the life of this world, and everything is fine. I’m not constantly not satisfied with myself, and not satisfied with the world, and not satisfied with the Creator, with the friends. I rely with all of these things in the normal way just like any other person. By this, the Egyptians, these thoughts, made it really difficult for Israel to work for the Creator because we are not capable of thinking in order to bestow that this will truly be pure bestow outside of me. In other words the hard work was extended from the Egyptians always telling them, those who get out of Egypt, about the Homer, the severity of the work in giving. Meaning, it has to be very precise and outside of me, if I want to reach in order to bestow then the goals, the intentions, the result of the actions, those have to be outside of me, so that it does not come back to me. How can one do it?, if he is entirely made of the will to receive that he has no energy, no strength, no mind, no nothing with which to depict this. The Levenim, the bricks that are in this work in the fear of the Egyptians. From the fear of the Lord Israel’s failure was extended.
“The hard work in the field in the Kingdom of Heaven that they wanted to take on themselves but could not”. Meaning, that maybe I want to reach it, even though I don’t quite know what it is in order to bestow but it is enough for me to agree that it is good that it is worthwhile, I want to get rid of my state in this world that I feel that I am truly under the control of my ego, but I cannot. This is actually the feeling of the exile. No Kabbalist has not been through it, they all write about it, all of the Kabbalists, and we also will have to go through it, and we already exist in some stage, but this state is a very difficult state. It is the state of true exile when a person feels that he is between two worlds, between he himself wanting to exit his will to receive, what can he do about it?, and along with that, how is it possible to depict to himself a state where he exists himself, so all of his actions, and the results of his actions, the reward, seemingly that he can see it in others that he can disconnect himself from the result that he is willing to invest on self completely in others and the Creator will receive it. This is called the exodus from Egypt. I was thinking that I am actually in the work of Egypt, in the exile that I’m working, and others receive it. Now, I see that the exodus from Egypt is that I will work, and everyone will receive it, and what about me? I will not, and this is what I want it to happen. Here we see this change that occurs in a person which is through the reforming light that the person reaches a state where he is willing to put in effort and the result of this effort will go to everyone but not to him, so what does he have left? In that same desire that he is willing to contribute to the others, in that same desire he will be like the Creator That’s state inside the will to receive, by that he undergoes a restriction, emptying himself from the intention to receive or more correctly he is able to control them, and later on he will even work with them in order to bestow that he is willing to work with us desires in order to bestow, so that through them, by those desires he will feel everyone. This is his work. It is hard work on the one hand. On the other hand, when he agrees to it, he sees in its freedom, he gets rid of all his problems, from all the pleasures of the evil inclination he was fighting with, he rises above the evil inclination, and indeed he can be in or only in order to bestow. With such an action, and we need to scrutinize these actions that help us to rise above our nature, with such actions, this is how we exit Egypt. There are many questions about it, we will scrutinize them slowly.
Excerpt 101 (23:00)
3. R. (23:21) This means in the Pharaoh.
Reader continues: (23:25) “Instead the Klipa, shell of Egypt….”
4. R. (23:51) Meaning that all of these desires and thoughts that hinder from reaching connection to bestowal between us and to the Creator this is called the Egyptians and they all operate only in order not to let us get out of the will to receive. On the other hand we need to realize that in this way they help us to accumulate between us, a sufficient force in order to break through their resistance, to break through that wall, break through the barrier and to actually get out in order to bestow.
Excerpt 101 (24:40) Twice
Excerpt 102 (25:36)
5. R. (27:04) This is the excerpt that should have been a little bit earlier in this flow.
Excerpt 103 (27:14)
6. S. (29:39) No translation.
R. We can actually be in spiritual work each and every moment, all in all what is the difference between this world and the spiritual world, it is in the intention, the actions that I perform. I drive to work, I work, I come back from work, I’m going to some supermarket to buy groceries. I perform all kinds of actions at home, I communicate with people, all of these things should not disturb me. I just need to add intention to it, that I want to reach bestowal. What does it mean to bestow, it is a simple rule that we will all connect into the same general system from which we emerged. The system of the Adam HaRishon that was shattered and we feel as disconnected from each other. So if I try to see all of us as though we are together or with inclination to be together then by that I am in the same direction, in the same course is going in order to bestow. I seem to push the whole world, all people, all of their souls, I push them to connection. Therefore our spiritual work can be at any time in any moment with any action that I perform in this world. No one sees it, no one can hinder me in that. That is it. If I think of the general connection of mutual bestowal that I want to see among everyone and it doesn’t matter to me what state this world has, the Creator is arranging the world this way. I, on my side, need to see the world in its corrected form that the world is in, and in my internal work I want this to happen this way.
S. How to see it correctly, how to be a part of a link in this chain?
R. Your ego that is pressing you, screaming at you, it is giving you an opportunity to rise above the bad relations that you have with it so that you can relate to these things in a good way. By that, not that it has to be like this in practice, maybe you will not do anything but with your intentions this is how you need to do it. Clearly first of all this is coming from the Creator, only the general network that covers everybody, everything, it works on everyone. Therefore you should never see the friend, but the Creator is always behind them, and you have to accept these things. Therefore your relation to people should be just like the Creator, eventually in the end, until we correct ourselves in this way, that we will see the world this way, it will take us some time, but this is actually the direction. Towards the spiritual work we have nothing that is hindering us but actually we discover that the whole world in every moment with all of the details in it actually corrected help us correct the attitude in this world in order to see the true reality at the end of the correction, the world will not change. It is written that the world is going rather man’s attitude, the way you relate, the way you look at it, this is what changes.
7. S. (34:36) Outside of the work in the bricks-and-mortar, what are we talking about here in the work of the fear of the Egyptians?
R. Nothing but only that we detect these Egyptians that they are the Creator’s servants. The Creator’s directing us, directing them to help us to be in order to bestow, to build us in the spiritual form so everything that is happening in the world these are forces that are directed against my ego but not against me. By that, I depict them that they are operating against my ego, I position myself in the right way, how to receive these influences. Then I do not accept them as disturbances but rather as direct as directing me to the correct form, to the correct attitude.
8. S. (35:57) What is the fear of the Egyptian, is it tolerable, how does Israel overcome this fear?
R. By connecting between them and connecting with the Creator, this is what it says in the Torah, and also did they were very afraid of the Egyptians and also from the Pharaoh and they did not know what to do until they, while they are slaves under these forces. The moment they start to reveal, to understand that this is coming on purpose so we will rise above it, then the person reaches a state where he starts to look at all of these forces in a different way. This is coming from the Creator, coming for us not to cancel this evil, this bad forces but rather to know how to aim ourselves correctly through them, this is called helpmate against. Through them then, through all these bad influences we start to establish ourselves correctly and then we see that that these Egyptians have nothing against us her but rather they are servants of Pharaoh and the fear itself is the Creator it’s just that he relates to us in such a way, in the form that we are still in the will to receive, in exile. The moment we merge from the control of the exile, from the control of the evil inclination then we see that there is no Pharaoh, it is all the Creator, there is None Else Besides Him. Therefore the correct attitude, the balanced attitude to all of the disturbances, this should really be our work and in that we should help each other, how do we relate correctly.
9. S. (38:26) You talked about this effort into the thought, you find us to correct that you try to depict everyone in the perfect state, can we call this a prayer also?
R. Yes, it’s possible that you’re turning to the Creator, you are asking him to help you maintain that it comes from the Creator, and you want to be aimed back at him and you want the reality connecting to the Creator. “I am for my beloved and my beloved is for me”, this by this directional way you only maintain this path then for you the work becomes much more directed, organized and you try not to fall off this.
S. How this effort, how can we carry it out together, together with our friends in the ten?
R. Talk to the friend, see how you can discuss it, reinforce this tendency because ultimately at the end of this path, this trail, you have to see all of you connected together to the Creator to such an extent that the Creator is revealed in the connection between their Creator becomes the integral.
S. What does it mean to see myself and all of us together connected with the Creator?
R. They depend on everyone, and they depend on you like in the mutual guarantee we are all in one boat and the Creator is running this boat and you want to maintain Him as a manager and carry out his orders and his orders are to be together. There are no more orders, just a connection between us.
S. How do we discover inside of this boat that he is the one who is managing us?
R. If we manage, each in every one’s ego, this inclination towards the others then we arrange in our boat, in our system, in our state a single force is revealed, the Creator.
10. S. (41:22) In your introduction you spoke that we are beginning to feel our Partzuf through the Arvut, is this the boat that you’re talking about?
R. Yes. This eventually bring us to the connection between us and inside of this connection we will reveal the Creator who is already there.
S. The connection with the Divinity, the revelation of the Divinity, there different degrees here?
R. Of course the connection between us all of our egos revealed more and more, and you overcome it by connecting above this ego more and more. These are the degrees of the ascent. It is 125 degrees by which we approach the end of correction, the complete incorporation of one inside the other and the revelation of the complete Creator between us, the entire system is revealed this way in fact.
S. These degrees, the 125 degrees is that how you described it before it’s working with the coarseness?
R. Yes, yes true this is how you work. We have nothing else with which to work, it is our nature, the main thing is to cleanse ourselves of all kinds of confusions because the path, the trail to the end of correction has to be clearly defined and for us to clean it of all the rubbish, all the disturbances. There’s only one Creator, one vessel in the connection between us, as tight as possible let’s go.
11. S. (43:51) How not to fall into despair under the burden of the work?
R. This is only through the connection with the friends and the importance of the goal that we are discussing between us and mutual support. It is written about that but there’s nothing else you can do here. It is not like the path is built arbitrarily or randomly, rather it is built from the gap between the Creator and us. This path from us to the Creator is simply divided into many discernments, they all exist inside the will to receive, and the gradual correction the will to receive raises us up on the trail from us to the Creator. This is 125 degrees then we have to climb through the five worlds, the Sefirot and Partzufim, and this way we bring ourselves to build this system in which we discover more and more the Creator who dwells between us. This is what we have been learning and we will learn about it. When we come to a certain actions that come closer to Lishma you will begin to learn about those Partzufim and those worlds and you it will feel closer to us and you will be starting something that is happening in someone’s fantasies or that we hypothesize, rather we will learn this practically since this is what we have to do. It will be such a degree of coarseness, the screens that we will have to rely on, how we connect ourselves through the screens, above the coarseness and construct these Partzufim, this is practical Kabbalah.
12. S. (46:29) I don’t understand how is it that the desires that are called Egyptians, are considered as bricks or white and also the desires do not allow us to work for the Creator, the light is white, how can it be?
R. Okay, write down this question and we will scrutinize it later. It is written about brick-and-mortar, you were right.
13. S. (47:17) In the world that I see I see it for my coarseness, is that correct and therefore in a connection with the friends we build a new screen so that we can see they reality through the eyes of bestowal, is that correct, is this is the process?
R. Yes, yes.
14. S. (47:50) The governance of the Klipa of Egypt is when we crown this approach, that there is nothing else besides the competition, the constant competition that the ego is forcing us so how can we get out?
R. I do not understand what you’re saying, can you speak shorter, clearer, more defined.
S. I understand the shells of the shells of Egypt, nothing besides the competitiveness that the ego is forcing on us. How do we break through and how can we suddenly see that there is another option?
R. Seeing another option is something that is given to us from above your right. Seemingly where should it open up, in what direction, in what state, where is that wall then will slide over I cannot see it or even the closed wall.
S. I don’t even know that I’m inside a cage?
R. That is correct, I understand, all of that has to be revealed, the important thing is to be incorporated with the friends and feeling more and quicker.
15. (49:19) I wanted to ask about the disturbance, that the exile of Egypt is the transition that you start to live in the friends. Do you see in them your results, so how is this different from seeing the results in myself?
R. How can you see the results in yourself if not through the friends, maybe you are not aware of it, but you always see it through the friends. If you were now alone on your own in the woods just growing up by yourself you would have been an animal. Because you are among people you receive everything that belongs to the human degree and in this way you can actually resemble the Creator.
16. S. (50:19) So a person is a result of the people around him they make him be who he is? I’m trying to ask about the discernment that the Exodus of Egypt is you start to see the result, meaning the reward in the others, the filling in them. You start to live in the friends instead of living in yourself, so how is it different from today in this auto mode that you constantly searching for results in yourself?
R. No, I do not understand the question. Meaning the problem is in me, I cannot clothe in this picture.
S. What does it mean that we start to see the results in others?
R. The results, the outcomes in others, I did not speak necessarily about the time after Egypt, rather the difference between Lishma and Lo Lishma, in order to receive and in order to bestow, in order to receive I wish to see all the results outcomes in me. The others, I look at them, I see the just to make sure that I don’t lose anything, that I’m successful and so on and so forth. When I transition in order to bestow, to Lishma, then I’m in the intention where I want to see the result of my work in the friends, in the others as the upper nine and I’m like Malchut. I am willing to work except that the conclusion, the outcome of the work should be in them, how much they are advancing, they are like my children, this is the difference.
S. So I’m asking about this discernment, so the transitions, the exodus from Egypt is that I’m working, and you see the other as advancing?
R. When I work and the others are advancing and if I’m in order to bestow that this fills me with joy and fulfillment, it’s like parents and kids. Parents are very happy when they see their children greater than them, how could that be. We are heroes, but because there is a difference between parents and children and there is a connection between parents and children. So they see in their see in their children their next degree so there are happy they are content that this child has become greater than me.
S. The filling becomes the advancement of the others, the fact that whatever the others are getting from you, you’re filled by that?
R. So this is exactly what it’s called in order to bestow.
S. Why is there such resistance to that?
R. Because we don’t feel each other as connected to each other, I don’t see the world as parts of myself that specifically to them I can bestow and in them I will feel the results of my exertion and it will be a reward for me.
S. Seemingly the desire lets you perform these actions in this direction so the result should be that I am always filled up?
R. Yes.
S. So what is missing here, so how does it happen?
R. What is missing is the reforming light to let us see the whole world as parts of my soul.
S. This is what changes your intention?
R. Everything, it changes everything, if I begin to see the whole world as my own, as mine, as the one vessel, I want to fill them I want to give them, I am happy I received nothing. My entire fulfillment is in that according to how much I fill the others.
16. S. (55:23) You said that we have to climb on the common trail to the Creator?
R. It is the degree of bestowal that keeps growing each time in order to bestow.
S. Question is how do we mount this trail together, all of us, all the friends?
R. It’s not together, it is not similar, we are all different, all of us. There is no together except through the intention, the mutual support but each one is on its own.
S. So each one has its own trail towards the Creator?
R. Let’s say each one has its own trail towards the Creator, imagine there are ten Sefirot, but each Sefira is different from the other, but they all work with one intention, with a common direction to bestow to the Creator. Not that each one bestows to the Creator, they cannot rather correct, merging and the correct combination each and every degree they can aim themselves to the Creator.
S. So where’s this point of sharing and incorporation with each other when each other is on his own trail?
R. Where each one works with their personal Malchut relative with his personal upper nine, towards one goal the Creator and they try to see him as one for all and each time they aim themselves more precise, in this is the meaning of climbing the degrees.
17. S. (57:20) You mentioned that in order to advance mutual support and concern is required so the thing should divide the develop a tendency to do fewer external actions and focus more on prayer and thought?
R. You will see it along the way, I would not rush to do anything, you will see what actions will disconnect you from personal ego and allow you to incorporate with one another but discuss it together.
S. The actions you mentioned in the past that the action leaves an impression and if you perform an action it is registered?
R. The right somebody to each action leaves an impression, a Reshimot, a record that is what we have a memory and out of these memories we construct our attitude towards the reality.
18. S. (58:29) It is not clear what you said before that the source of the pleasure of the fulfillment changes when I see the result of my work in others, in the Creator, the whole world is here to serve me and I’m here to serve the world, it sounds like the most egoistic state possible. I feel secure in that. I have nothing to lose. What is there is that, some persuasion is there some trouble?
R. I do not know what you’re talking about.
S. If I see that I filling that I fulfill the world, it is as though I leave all of my problems, I live for others, everything is fine, I see that everything’s fine, this is spirituality, isn’t this the ego which is completely developed?
R. What are you doing with this feeling of filling the world, is it for their own sake or you are doing to fill them and to feel pride in fulfillment, your uniqueness?
S. For confidence.
R. You’re going from confidence, very well, this is an egoistic action.
S. How do you replace this action?
R. As usual with all these actions, that you will discover all the actions as egoistic, and you ask the Creator to make it into spiritual action. The conclusion is the main thing, not the actions of what are you doing for.
19. S. (01:00:21) It says that he is suffering because he is far away from the love of the Creator, what is love of the Creator and how far are we from it?
R. The love of the Creator is found after you connect in your love with friends, to that extent at least and more than that.
20. S. (01:00:56) What does it mean that they saw the severity of the gravity of their situation?
R. They felt how much they were in this mutual rejection.
21. S. (01:01:11) What are the white things in the spiritual work?
R. We have to scrutinize it. I also didn’t answer it to the friend, but we are yet to understand.
22. S. (01:01:36) What freedom is there in order to bestow, if instead of caring for myself I have to carry care for millions like myself?
R. By that you come to the equivalence of form with the Creator that is why you feel yourself free, you are inside the upper force and it’s working on you, and you annul yourself in order to add anything you can to his action. It’s work but in it we feel ourselves free from in order to receive, it’s not that there is no work there and no commitment, or we feel ourselves as if nothing is important, we care about nothing. I am free as a bird, no. Rather I am free from the will to receive that does not burden me, doesn’t obligate me to do what he is saying so I’m free from him, from it, although I am servitude to the Creator but by that I feel free. It is all relative.
23. S. (01:02:59) While we are operating inside of the ego, what is the closest act towards bestowal that we are capable of doing towards the friends?
R. Each action, any action we can do towards with friends.
24. S. (01:03:19) How can I help my friends be in the work of Israel and not in the work of bricks?
R. We all scrutinized what must be the correct connection between us.
25. S. (01:03:36) We are talking about the fact that it’s in our intentions we should fill the world, help the world, in what way will we feel the world, what is this fulfillment?
R. We must fill the world with the intention, the mutual intention to bestow or the intention for mutual bestowal, no more than that and that to that extent the Creator clothes in us.
26. S. (01:04:15) I would like to continue in the same scrutinies, the friends from Tel Aviv also asked yesterday that in order to receive for myself there is pleasure and in order to bestow there’s also pleasure in it but in order to bestow it turns out that the final points in this is elusive, it turns out that I feel good because it’s good for others but it’s still good for me in the end?
R. You should continue scrutinizing these points because I cannot explain to you, the words always get confused inside, the words, especially when it’s going through translation. So start scrutinizing these things, you have to understand these things from within, from trying to realize them and from realizing them you need to feel from the inner feeling you will understand what he is talking about as it says the heart understands it’s not the intellect or the ear.
S. So the final point this way, that way, should be pleasure for others?
R. I need to be incorporated in the others and in them I need to feel the pleasure that I am causing them. The same towards the Creator by the way.
27. S. (01:06:02) To continue what you said that if I feel that I am the slave of the Creator, the servant of the Creator I feel free, how come when I’m a slave of the ego I’m not called free because my ego has also ruled by the Creator?
R. Because it was not your choice, free means I made this choice and I’m making this choice each and every moment but if I’m not choosing then I am not considered free. I’m not a monkey, I’m not a cat, I’m not a mouse, I’m not a rock, not a cloud, I’m a person, a human, there is no freedom here. But inside this human that the Creator has created there are free point where he can remain the way he is or he can become similar to the Creator and this is our only place of free choice where this is the only thing we can change in us, that is it.
28. S. (01:07:25) How does the person check that he is working in order to bestow and not running away from his ego for his own benefit?
R. When he works in order to bestow it is clear to the person that he truly reached in order to bestow because he feels no connection to him, he feels it in connection to others by being connected to them, by being connected to the Creator and he feels his force of bestowal the results of bestowal in the other and not in himself. He cares about how they would feel and how not how he would feel .To that extent he neutralizes the effect of the results on him.
29. S. (01:08:53) What do I come out of myself and when will this exit end?
R. When do I come out of myself? When I am capable of annulling my entire future then coming out of myself. Through the upper force, the upper light that is working on me, I begin to feel all of reality as more important to me than what I am. Simple, I feel them as my children towards their mom, more important, more important than me. After all everything is measured in the will to receive. We have no other vessels but if in the will to receive through an upper illumination. Through the upper illumination, I begin to feel the others are more important than me then it is called being in order to bestow.
30. S. (01:10:13) It says that when he starts to enter the work of Lishma, then he starts to descend to the exit in Egypt, what does that mean? Does that Lishma relate to the exit from Egypt?
R. The entire path exiting our ego is called Lishma. There are actions, degrees, and there’s a path. Do not get confused by it.
31. S. (01:10:48) What quality does the ten must have in order to build a Creator in the right form for each one in the ten builds the Creator his own according to the qualities she gets from the friends?
R. Each ten builds his own Creator. Each time the form of the Creator that they imagined is different, as it is written every day I have a new Creator. That is how we advance. The important thing is nevertheless the connection. Connection between the friends, connection between women friends. You won’t be able to run away from that. The fact that we have all these egoistic relationships between us, the Creator gives those, and he will not concede those because it has to do with each person’s root of the soul if he won’t annul his ego to the point where you begin to feel yourself closer to one another. That you are capable of thinking good thoughts about the other, that you want to connect to the other, you want to help the other. If you do not do it you will never happen it will never happen we will have to go through the stages. Hence, as it is written a thousand enters the room and one comes out to teach, Ohr from the word light. Think about it carefully and gradually you will be able to help one another to advance. If we won’t do it, suffering will come and obligate us because the goal is there, the force is there, and the upper system can apply such pressure on us that we will want to change even when we don’t want to change.
32. S. (01:13:17) We still do not feel the mutual dependency between the friends in the ten. Should we artificially resist the egoistic desire to think about myself and aim my thoughts so that it will be good for them? What is the good that I’m asking for?
R. When I am asking instead of for myself but for the friends that means that I want to advance from here in the direction of correction, the end of Correction and if I don’t think about it, it is a sign I am not advancing at all because advancing up the trail from here to the end of correction is only according to the extent that I care about the other because this entire trail is a trail of love of others and from love of others to the love of the Creator. The love of the Creator cloths in the love of others. We have to try and hear these words.
33. S. (01:14:27) Why isn’t it revealed to us that the result of our exertion goes to everyone? How is my exertion expressed in the others?
R. It’s not revealed to us, so we won’t start pulling it into our vessels of reception. That is why it is not revealed.
34. S. (01:14:51) Do we acquire the intention to bestow only after we feel ourselves part of one soul? Is that a precondition?
R. Yes, we need to feel ourselves all connected together as one and that it can’t be that each is working apart there is no such a thing. Only after we feel ourselves dependent on one another connected to one soul, then it is revealed according to the measure of connection between us what is in that soul of Adam Ha Rishon. Meaning the upper light, the Creator, our place, our state in relation to this.
35. S. (01:15:48) If my entire fulfillment is when I feel others, what do I feel my friends?
R. I feel my friends with all my exertion towards connection for then our vessel becomes more united, more unified and we have the revelation of the upper light, more of the revelation of the Creator. That is called I am filling them by helping them, pushing them towards connection.
36. S. (01:20:18) When you answer the question. What I heard was that I have to incorporate the others and feel their pleasure, what pleasure? Pleasure from their work for the Creator what I gave them.
R. They participate in everyone and as a result of it I feel what they are feeling from the fact that they’re coming closer to the Creator that is it. That they are bestowing to the Creator this pleasure they feel, and I feel and the fact that receiving from the Creator also they feel, and I feel in them. The fact that they are bestowing to the Creator is called the Ohr Hozer reflected light that they are receiving from the Creator that is called Ohr Yashar, directed light that is clothing in that reflected light. When we come to the Partzufim we understand what is happening. I want us to learn this in a more practical way, so it won’t be theoretical. Just like people want to know this. II don’t want to accept the wisdom of Kabbalah in a way that we will learn it as some abstract science but rather it has to be something that is felt both inside the person somewhat at least, so one will see that he himself that’s not filled but he will hear that the others are feeling it will stimulate him will advance him incorporate in everyone. In such a way we will learn.
S. Is the criterion for a good connection in the ten is to feel instantly that the sensitivity raises?
R. Although that could be it has to be only after we connect and feel that connection between us so if after we all of a sudden discover ourselves falling to a greater will to receive 21then 21hat is correct.
39. S. (01:22:45) Can you explain what unity is in Egypt?
R. We did not learn all these chapters that we have but Connection in Egypt is like we do now in the groups between us. We are in the will to receive. We don’t even feel so much and servitude of the will to receive and we are trying to somehow create certain kinds of forms of systems of connection between us. That is called work in Egypt even though we don’t quite feel that we are in Egypt all we might feel some of us feel in those seven years of satiation and some of us feel that we are already in some form of the 7 years of hunger. It is a process that we go through. We will learn there are many more materials on this.
40. S. (01:24:07) From understanding that your work is to bestow to others that you have no forces to do it and then when you see all the work with the bricks you have so many bricks you don’t even know where to start. What should I start with, a small break maybe?
R. The hard labors in the connection between us when we feel that difficulty and we feel the difficulty not because connecting between us is difficult, to connect between us is impossible. The difficulty is in the fact that we are not turning to the Creator not asking him to perform this work. It is written that the Creator will finish it for me. When I need to do all that is on me to do, to scrutinize when I’m not capable of anything and I’m not capable of doing anything in correction. I don’t have it in me. What am I a source of light? No. Am I in the intention to bestow? No. Am I in the desire to bestow like the Creator? No, So where can I expect myself to do some nice, good action except for one thing because we came out of the Creator we can turn to him and cry out and demand like a baby demanding from his mother. Look what they do, they come to their mother and shake her like that, and they have all the strength, necessity, and willingness in their hands because they’re born from their mother, and they can come to her and to ask and demand and the mother hears and does. It is the same thing with us. It’s like a root and branch. When we turn to the Creator he has to help us. In a measure and way like He wants. like it should be, like it is for our benefit. Not that we cry and scream but that is how it needs to take place. Therefore all of our work is not in us seeing big bricks that we need to build big pyramids. We need to do anything but only to connect between us and even in the creative connection between us we’re not capable to do anything but rather to turn to the Creator. Then to the extent that we can turn to Him, constantly turn to Him all the time to Him. He will do it all, He will complete it from zero to a one hundred percent. He does it all and He is very happy that we are compelling him to do it. That is called, ‘my sons have defended me’.
S. There is another matter here that the moment you get scared maybe you don’t even remember that you have to turn to him but maybe turn to him, but you do not get an answer that moment it is right that I have towards something gets clarified those breaks between your plea supposedly getting an answer in those brakes, you need patience what is the right attitude here?
R. I need to be concerned only from my request, my prayer to be constantly emerging from my heart will be able to connect with the heart of the friends and it could be of all the people in the world, and we will rise up to the Creator. As the Creator is not above us, it is better to depict him as being in the center of connection between us. This is how we all as much as we can, more and more people in the world, are connected by turning from between us to the Creator. That is actually the entire work we need to do. Nothing but that. Then we will very quickly see how He enters with us into a mutual form of connection. Which is how we will advance.
S. The plea to the Creator does that mean to turn to him, to ask of him? What exactly are we turning to?
R. That is the upper force, our source that has created all of creation and us and he does in us what is needed in order to awaken us towards connecting and turning to him.
41. S. (01:30:24) When you take into consideration that everything is in me, the feeling of hatred towards Pharaoh along with it the feeling that you cannot advance, what is the attitude that needs to be towards the nation working for Pharaoh? Because you feel you want to kill all of them?
R. I would recommend that you do not mix between corporeality and spirituality. We can’t yet arrange it correctly. Therefore, all those thoughts about what is happening to you now in your life and all together to this world and specifically in this war that is there in your area, I would recommend not to connect it to all kinds of relations and what we are learning in the wisdom of Kabbalah. It will not help you; it will just confuse you. Rather, we will learn how we need to connect between us in order to bestow to the Creator. In our bestowal to the Creator, when we plead to him, we ask for one thing, the upper light, the force of the bestowal, the force of love for it to come down upon us all. Accordingly each and every one will advance towards the Creator. All of us together. All the other thoughts not about connection between everyone and the Creator are prohibited flawed thoughts.
S. How to still relate to my people that are in me?
R. The way you’re saying that is what is inside you, your nation that is inside of you or your qualities. You need to aim, you need to think that by your work with your friends when you are all connecting, you are drawing and inviting the reforming light and it will truly sort you and correct you into one Kli and then in that one Kli you will start to reveal the Creator. Think more, hear more about what we are talking about, and you will advance more and feel also how capable you are to battle with all those states in the correct manner. You’re going through difficult situations I understand, but nevertheless there is no other weapon other than the connection between us.
42. S. (01:33:38) I incorporate in the friends in my ten, I feel their deficiencies, all of them, maybe all of them together. What does it mean that I feel that they are enjoying that they are bestowing to the Creator? How emotionally do you get such feedback from them?
R. That is something you need to see if we’re heading to the articles of Rabash and Baal HaSulam. How can we by awakening the ten to receive forces from the ten, for additional connection until in the connection we reveal the Creator.
S. Just today, a few times you touch on this point that I have to feel in them.
R. You must exit yourself and enter into society. Society exists, it has connection in this connection the Creator is. It all depends only on the extent in which you can sort these things with your attitude towards the society, towards the ten.
S. What interests me is checking if there is some kind of feedback from their behalf in the inner feeling of the ten. How did they feel about this process and how do I feel it towards them?
R. It could be that you won’t feel it now, it could be that you’re coarser than some of your friends who do feel it, maybe not yet. Each of us is on some ladder, some individual ladder of his own. Nevertheless, we need to understand that we need to at least hear that the path, that the trail is like that. When I started to hear this it was maybe 45 years ago. I do not know how many. Until I started to hear it, many years passed. Many years. Therefore from that experience I have patience also to tell you and wait until it will happen. It could be that it will happen when I’m not next to you, but you will know, see, and continue. That is our path, that is our way, which is how it is.
43. S. (01:36:07) You have advised us a few times to write a mutual prayer in the ten. What should be the intention or the external way?
R. For you to write in words. You could write the same sentence, the same words in any language but for you to write a sentence or two sentences maximum. Then you will discuss how to shorten it and how to sort these sentences in which you express your common plea to the Creator. That is what I advise. Try this should help.
44. S. (01:37:48) To do things against the desire is difficult but clarifying thoughts comes from above but at the plea , the request I do not understand where it comes. So what is that difficult work that we need to do in order to bestow? If there is a reward in the end, what reward?
R. What reward? The reward will also be in order to bestow. The reward won’t be in the vessels of reception. The fact that I am told, if you give someone in the world altogether does not belong to you, you will receive a reward later yes? So I give because I intend for the reward but if the reward is also not me receiving it yes? But I see that the person that I gave to is also my reward as well. How can I give? I have no fuel. I cannot move in order to give him. What do we do? It is impossible. It is only possible under the condition that we receive light from above and this light bestows upon us and gives us the ability to work as we call without reward or in order to bestow. But if we do not receive this reforming light, the light that brings us back, reforms us towards bestowal, we will not be able to do that. It should be clear to us.
S. But we get an ability to scrutinize so even that opportunity is a reward isn’t it?
R. Let’s say yes for the time being. We will advance like that as you understand it. The direction is correct.
45. S. (01:40:19) What system should we build so we can draw the upper light into our vessels and come to this complete lack of love? What is this complete love?
R. It is a nice question. What is complete love? All love is when I take from myself all the forces of my intellect and feeling and physically everything that is in me, and I place them and put it into the other and do all that he wants. That is considered that I have complete love towards him.
46. S. (01:31:34) In our ten if the friends do some serious criticism on how the friend works or certain actions, if that criticism towards the friend when they’re such a criticism is that a sign that we do not understand or we are under the Pharaohs control yet is that a sign?
R. Yes it is a sign of advancement.
47. S. (01:42:25) To relate to them like my children at this stage is only about the ten, all of Bnei Baruch or to the whole world?
R. Actually the whole world but in practice when I can implement this mutually is in the ten.
48. S. (01:42:58 ) On Saturday you gave advice instead of having one meeting a day to have meetings every hour..
R. I also thought about it already whether it is right or wrong, but you need to decide. You need to nevertheless see whether it suits you or not. It depends on your work day and all kinds of factors in jobs that we have during the day, how we get along between us. Therefore, I cannot decide that it is not your free time therefore I can say let’s do this way or that way. For most of the people it is inconvenient, and they can’t because of the gaps with time and around the clock around earth. I understand you need to decide.
S. It was clear to begin with that not everybody could join but at least if a person can’t, he knows his friends are meeting for 5 minutes , for let’s say once an hour . You gave a lot of new discernments; it was like going into very high speed. Now the question is, everybody’s asking how it will not become a habit now, how can something so wonderful won’t let you rest ,won’t come to be another habit?
R. You need to be a little more creative and to try and make from more and more certain discernments that are interesting that bring us a little new points, so we will see something in this. Maybe do a competition and new discernments, what continent, what group even is excelling in something. You can even gamify it with something serious but in such a way that it grabs us, it catches us. Think.
