GRACE ON THE SHALOSH SEUDOS, THE THIRD SHABBAT MEAL

THE BEGINNING OF THE GROWTH OF SOULS

-by Rabbi Michael Laitman

The reason those people agreed to unite into a single group that engages in love of friends is that each of them feels that they have one desire that can unite all their views, so as to receive the strength of love of others (Rabash, Article 8 โ€œMake for Yourself a Rav and Buy Yourself a Friend โ€“ 2โ€).

The Creator gathers such souls from all over the world. We see how people suddenly find us, start listening, organize, unite, and come to conventions. This happens under the influence of the upper light, which draws ever closer to us. As a result, we gradually rise like sprouts from the earth.

This is how the article โ€œThe Flower Budsโ€ in The Book of Zohar begins: โ€œThe flower buds have appeared in the land.โ€ This is how the souls grow.

People are given the desire to unite into a group and an explanation that this is necessary for them to come closer to each other up to the point of loving one another. In our world, the word โ€œloveโ€ has become so worn out that it manifests as something purely egoistic.

But when we begin to apply this concept to our friends, we start from the premise that we are one soul. There can be no greater connection between individual souls than when we unite into one integral whole. The general program of creation drives us toward this.
