COLLECT THE PARTS OF THE COMMON SOUL

Baal HaSulam, Letter 4: You lack nothing except to go out to a field that the Lord has blessed, and collect all those flaccid organs that have drooped from your soul, and join them into a single body.

“A field that the Lord has blessed” is the state between us. It is a wild field that a person gradually cultivates, sows, and harvests.

The most difficult thing is to convince ourselves that we must collect all the flaccid organs of the common soul and connect them into a single body. We are prepared to study Kabbalah, all kinds of wisdoms, ask tricky questions, and supposedly develop our brain. We are even prepared to feel not just others’ but our personal experiences, and all this is absolutely not what we need.

We need to think only about how to connect to the Creator with our inner desires. Each of us has such a desire, the Creator gave it to us in advance, and this is a great gift. However, connecting all the aspirations together is what we need to do.
