Part 1:

Rabash. Article No. 11, 1986.  A Real Prayer Is over a Real Deficiency

1. S. (17:43) What does it mean to observe Torah and Commandments because of the greatness of the Creator?

R. That as much as the Creator is great in your eyes you can submit yourself, subdue yourself towards him, simple; meaning we have to work on the greatness of the Creator in our eyes this is by the study and by the group, from that one begins to receive importance of the Creator and to that extent he can subjugate himself and get closer to the Creator.

2. S. (19:07) There are two kinds of people here, the first observed Torah and Commandments in order to have reward in this world and in the next world and then they do a lot of things and they’re very meticulous about their actions and there are those who want to do the holy work in order to bestow without any reward and then they cannot force their thoughts and feelings to really be in order to bestow?

R. Yes.

S. What is the state for those who want to work in order to bestow that they want to, they need other thoughts and feelings. What is this matter, what do they want to change?

R. There are people that according to their nature they go and do all kinds of actions that they think of as spiritual actions and they have a feeling and a thought that what they’re doing is correct and that they’re going to receive the reward in this world and in the next world and that’s how it will happen and so they are thankful to the Creator for what they do and as much as they can they add they want to add to their actions. Typically the actions are in a physical actions and then there are people who aren’t so much thinking towards receiving a reward from the Creator, rather that their reward is how much they’ll feel that they’re bringing contentment to the Creator, and by that they try to do such actions that they’re working in a group of friends in a more internal way, meaning that the work is not in actions but more in thought and in desire,

S. What do they pay attention to?

R. They pay attention to how much are they concerned that everything they do will bring good to the Creator.

S. From where do they get this deficiency?

R. From the root of the Soul.

S. Is it something that they feel, meaning, they lack it, they have deficiency to bestow upon the Creator already?

R. It opens up in them, it develops in them, this desire; they don’t feel satisfied in being able to do all kinds of actions in order to bestow as they’re called.

S. Extensively in order to bestow?

R. Yes, as if. Well, they think that they are bestowing in that.

S. And then what they’re not doing actions, the other kind, who want to bestow upon the Creator, they don’t do actions?

R. Their actions are more in their intentions because that’s where they are deciding where they are deciding, where they are making the effort.

S. And what results do they expect?

R. They expect to have a simple result, that they’ll bestow contentment to the Creator.

S. Is this their deficiency?

R. Yes. Ultimately it’s their deficiency, although in the beginning they cannot identify it but they see that towards actions they don’t really belong to that and their concern is more about the intention.

S. But how does a deficiency develop in them because if they already have a deficiency, all the articles we reed so far about prayer it says this whole matter, I’m not, II don’t have a deficiency to bestow upon the Creator, the whole point is to obtain the deficiency to bestow upon the Creator, they all need it

R. Yes.

S. And here I hear from you and from what he writes, it is people who want to bestow upon the Creator so now they are looking up on how they can bestow upon the Creator?

R. Because bit by bit they find that there are two directions in their development, it’s as though they are standing at a Crossroads, either doing actions and thus bestow through that or through intentions and then bestow intentionally.

S. So those who want to develop such a deficiency to bestow upon the Creator, what should they do, actions, intentions?

R. That depends on man’s nature, to the extent that he feels where he is, where his soul is.

S. What is intentions?

R. Intentions means to whom do I want to bestow, whatever it is I’m doing, it doesn’t matter what I’m doing, who am I aiming for?

S. He also writes that all their actions will be for the sake of the Creator, what does it mean all of the actions?

R. In order to bestow contentment to the Creator,

S. What actions do I do that can bestow contentment upon the Creator, that it doesn’t matter what I do as long as is in order to bestow upon the Creator?

R. Yes, that you choose such actions with which you can aim, you can intend to bestow to the Creator.

S. So are these external actions?

R. Even external actions too but the main thing is that it’s actions you’re choosing because you want to do them to bestow contentment to the Creator.

S. And how do I know this is what I want?

R. According to whether you’re in that or not.

S. And then what, that I want to start acting in bestowal upon the Creator, contentment.

R. Yes.

S. So what those people whom want to bestow contentment upon the Creator, what do they do now?

R. They’re more immersed in.prayer.

S. That will happen what?

R. They want to get closer to the Creator by prayer and bestow to him from within the Ten and by that they truly make him happy.

S. So what are they asking?

R. To bestow contentment to the Creator. Why are you looking at me, you never heard it before?

S. I did hear, but the fact they are deficient of this and they ask this out of this deficiency

R.They scrutinized what are they are lacking and by their actions, by their scrutinies they arrive at only missing lacking to bestow contentment to the Creator.

S. How did they come to this, that this is all they need, all they want?

R. All the rest they check and they see that it’s real it’s not final,

S. And then what, how do they choose that this is what they want, do they control it?

R. It’s in their control to achieve that.

S. How?

R. They’re given an opportunity from above, but to fulfill it it already requires more work until they gradually do it.

S. And this is mainly through the intentions?

R. Mostly intentions and working in the Ten.

3. S. (29:00) There are moments when the prayer he’s describing here, you feel that this is what you need and you’re saying that’s it I’m sitting and praying just as he writes and then you find yourself 5 minutes later that your thought is in a completely different place is there a way to tie to harness the thought and really feel into it or if you took it it took it?

R. Group, friends.

S. Yes, I agree everything Ten, we connect; but is there’s even a moment when we say to stop everything and pray together and again it goes away, this is what should happen but I’m asking if there is a way to harness the thought, strain it and then build deeper?

R. If everyone is thinking about it and not wanting to let go of the interconnection they build between them then they gradually succeed, bit by bit they succeed and this happens deliberately so they demand the Creator to be as glue between them.

4. S. (30:20) We learn that from bestowing upon the society we bestow upon the Creator;. a friend who bestows upon the society, who serves the society, what should he expect?

R. A friend who bestows to the society wants to expect, well let’s say that he has several possibilities here but he wants to expect that he’ll have more opportunities to invest more in getting closer to the Creator, bestowing more and he’ll have more opportunities to strengthen his Connection in the group.

S. And if he doesn’t succeed?

R. Then he has to search, he has to pray, he has to connect even stronger to the friends.

S. How does he know if he should add in intentions or actions?

R. Typically we don’t have much to do in actions, it’s mostly intentions, always to glue to oneself through the group to the Creator.

S. When a friend is in such work it feels like a campaign where he is standing alone before the society and sometimes the body wants to get out?

R. Yes.

S. What does he do in that state?

R. This happens to each and everyone, what’s happening you have to make an effort.

S. What effort should he make?

R. To be more connected to the friends and to depict the Creator as found in the center of your connection with the friends and that only in a deficiency to connect to the Creator does he connect with the friends. That is going to connect to the friends in order to strengthen his connection with the Creator and then this connection will be real.

S. What is the role of the Ten, of the friends when they see a friend being in that state, being kind of on the line in this scrutiny.

R. To strengthen him, hold him, to direct him exactly towards the goal, to give him support, each one in the Ten needs to give support to the others. Then they’ll engage in connection as much as possible, meaning interconnection.

5. S. (33:55) What is an intention that doesn’t ride over an action, only an intention, is there’s such a thing? or should each intention be over a certain action?

R. Yes, intention without an action.

S. Is there such a thing?

R. Of course, that we want to be connected to the intention of the friends but in action we don’t want to connect with them.

S. So it’s the opposite?

R. What do you mean opposite?

S. Opposite you want to be with them in intention but you don’t come, you don’t connect.

R. Yes, yes.

6. S. (34:59) How can we build an interconnection between us and the Ten?

R. This is daily work that extends for a long time and it, our connection in the Ten needs to ultimately be similar to our connection with the Creator because the Ten is the vessel through which we actually receive the connection with the Creator.

7. S. (35:45) How can a Ten check if it’s and internal connection?

R. Interconnection it’s what’s already revealed in the Creator with respect to everyone in the Ten, that’s the sign.

8. S. (36:10) How can we help the friends in the Ten live in the intention and strengthen it?

R. According to the example, there’s nothing else.

9. S. (36:23) How can I subjugate myself before the Creator, submit myself before the Creator and the friends?

R. By thoughts of how do I achieve my correction, my personal egoistic connection so the answer should be that it’s only in the society that I’m incorporated in, that I bowed before and that this is how I receive directions from it and strength to do actions of bestow.

10. S. (37:17) What is the punishment of this world and what is the punishment of hell, what is hell?

R. Hell is the burning fire within the person, that really doesn’t let him rise and connect to the Creator, on the contrary he dwells in it and he can’t continue his spiritual work.

11. S. (37:58) What is the difference between the state of fear and the state of fear of heaven?

R. Fear is fear from himself, fear of heaven is am I giving the Creator 100% of what I can in the current state.

12. S. (38:26) How do we overcome the shells and come to the real work of the Creator?

R. The shells help us, direct ourselves correctly to the Creator, where if not for the shells we wouldn’t be able to direct ourselves and therefore we need to relate to everything that is done in the world as help for us, as helping us in that we will really direct ourselves.

13. S. (39:11) What does it mean good deeds in the work?

R. Good deeds are in order to bestow, either to the group or to the Creator or to both.

14. S. (39:32) The greatness of the Creator is often felt like a reward. How can we guarantee that our work is for the sake of the Creator and not for the sake of feeling good?

R. If it’s in order to bestow it is truly for the sake of the Creator we have to check the intention.

15. S. (40:21) We can think that he’s writing this about one person, me. Sometimes I come as  someone who wants to gain, sometimes as someone who wants to give contentment. So it turns out that if I check, let’s say I came to the lesson, how do I check to what group I belong?

R. It depends on your preparation for the lesson and on how you are incorporated in the lesson, and how you’re scrutinizing with everyone in the lesson where you are headed.

S. It turns out that if I’m incorporated in a group that wants to bring contentment he writes that one, I have to feel that the work is against nature.

R. Yes because you feel it, you feel that it’s not according to your source.

S. And then two, he begins to come out of himself and make an effort in that but he can’t move from that state one bit and he needs a Creator to help him. In other words I have to feel like it’s against my nature and I have to ask the Creator for everything we do in the society. Every zoom when I connect I have to feel like I don’t want to connect and I need the Creator’s help to emerge from self-love.

R. Yes.

S. Every lesson I have to feel like I don’t want to come to the lesson and I want the Creator to help me come out of self-love.

R. It’s not exactly how you put it but it’s in this direction.

S. That exactly my question but sometimes I want to come to a ten’s meeting, sometimes I want to do something with them. It’s like I’m pushed into it and I don’t feel like it, it’s against my nature. As the years pass it becomes part of life, I even enjoy some of the actions and the activities so I’m afraid I’m wasting time because I don’t have the intention to bestow.

R.It’s good that you are worried in this way on the one hand. On the other hand pray, that’s what you can have here.

S. Let’s say a congress comes up or some unity evening and before this event I’m happy that it’s coming up, I’m delighted about meeting the friends and the friends from the world will come and I will meet them. In the evening we’ll meet and we’ll have some drinks and there’s a feeling that my nature yearns for this event, it’s not against it I want to come there.

R. To the content of the event or to the event itself?

S. I don’t know, to this atmosphere, to everything.

R. 90% of the people of the world like to sit with the friends, drink, sing, talk, go into Cafes and bars and whatnot.

S. Exactly, that’s what I’m asking. How do I turn to an activity that I want to come to, should I stop myself and say no you don’t want to come there?

R. Only according to the intention. Are you realizing the intention by this, to connect with them and bring contentment to the Creator or not; or is it a physical activity that you’re going to burn another night?

S. The topic of connection is always to aim to bring contentment to the Creator but sometimes I’m attracted to it and my egoistic nature also wants to come to this activity so it’s like a warning sign. According to what he’s writes here I’m probably not in the right direction. If your nature wants to come and you’re happy about this activity it probably means something’s wrong.

R. Correct.

S. What should I do in that case?

R. Make the right calculation and then you’ll see that you are in the intention to receive and you’re in the hands of the shells. So what should you do to emerge from them?

S. Until I scrutinize should I not go to the event?

R. Perhaps not, perhaps you should go to the event and feel that you’re burning throughout the time of the event and not the way you thought before, that you were going to enjoy. Try.

16. S. (45:36) Very deep scrutinies. Rabash writes in one of his articles that as long as it describes our work as an ascent, a building so you have to climb from one floor to the next. The first floor is love of friends, love of others and then you can go up to the next floor which is the love of the Creator and here we’re talking about love of the Creator seemingly with no connection to love of friends. How do we combine the work with the friends and add the intention here because the whole Torah and Mitzvot we do that in order to be corrected. As long as we’re not corrected our intention of holding the Creator adds pride and also there are tens who are  successful and not successful, all kinds of things that disrupt us. How do we combine the situation where we are still not corrected, we’re not doing the right work and at the same time have the intention that the work will be more effective because all of the scrutinies now with you..do you understand what I’m saying?

R. Not really, can someone join in?

17. S. (47:30) I also want to connect to what the friend said. I feel on me and on other friends that if we know that we’re going to gather for an internal action everyone’s waiting for that moment that we come to a common prayer. There is some tendency, some inclination, yearning to achieve this togetherness, prayer to reach the Creator but if I have to look at the friends sitting next to me you said a while ago that I have to reach a state where I love him more than anything in the world. Here I feel a very obvious resistance, rejection. Meaning there’s a difference in the attitude that I have towards the inner work towards the Creator that we’re going to support each other now, be in mutual guarantee, be in the right intention, only think of Him, that he’s the great the root that fills all the world, None Else Besides Him, good that does good and that as opposed to doing the work of loving the friend now all the way.

R. Yes. It’s clear and we read about it in several places. There cannot be a relation to the Creator more than there is a relation to the friend. This needs to be clear and love of friends therefore is number one and love of the Creator is number two because you cannot reach love of the Creator without love of the friends; and only to the extent that you acquire this degree of connection with the friends, to that extent you can also be connected with the society.

18. S. (49:37) Somehow I am listening to questions. There are some scrutinies, there are some questions but they’re on the air, none of them are hitting the point. I feel that one question is pulling this way the other question is pulling the other way and there’s no incorporation of the deficiencies, it feels like it’s not following order. There’s a deficiency, the friends want to deepen, one pulls it this way one pulls it the other way and there is no flow in the lesson. What can we do and what do we lack?

R. I’m happy that we are specifically in this situation and this is how we’re scrutinizing this situation because it’s a very important situation, it’s a crossroads on the way; a crossroads of all kinds of pleas and requests and streams and currents both personal and more external. We should scrutinize them until we see how much we need to connect them all together but the fact that each one might be pulling in his own direction, that’s natural and it’s good, it’s a scrutiny.

S. You talked about the importance of the preparation yesterday and I feel that yes we have preparation but I think our preparation material is not exactly directed in the direction of the lesson. It’s general, for the love of friends, to awaken the heart, open the heart but it’s not directed,  the preparation material. What do you think about this?

R. How would you define it, the purpose of the lesson, the topic of the lesson and our entry into these things? By all means, go ahead, I’m with you.

S. The excerpts we choose, the workshop questions it’s more on a general point, how to love friends, how to ask for the help of the Creator but I feel there should be a specific point in the lesson. When I’m preparing a lesson I know that these are the points that we want to get as a result of the lesson so on that point the preparation is in the general way so it doesn’t prepare us to that point.

R. Perhaps you are incorrect because it is clear to us how to advance but afterwards when it becomes clarified in each one it becomes clarified according to each one’s personal state and therefore here there are already big differences between people.

S. So how to maintain the flow? It’s apparent there are differences.

R. I don’t think we really need to worry about it. It’s as if we have some problem and we want to solve it through some external actions. It’s better if we are concerned with how we connect internally and on the outside we don’t need to try to connect ourselves by force through some ropes to be together, no, it will come later. The Creator, the presence of the Creator that’s revealed between us brings us closer to each other and this is how we connect even though internally we are disconnected from each other. But when the Creator is revealed, through Him we do unite, we will feel this. We have no way to connect ourselves together, no possibility to connect ourselves together but on the contrary to reveal how opposite we are and only the Creator, when we are incorporated in Him, He can gather us, assemble us and connect us together. This is what we are about to discover but it’s very good, everything you said is excellent.

19. S. (56:00) Is it correct to say that we have dozens of social activities and you feel a resistance to some, to some your neutral and to some you’re even attracted. Is it correct that the resistance, rejection is a correct state and if you’re drawn to others that there might be a problem, that the Klipot are involved there? There always has to be a rejection?

R. Well normally yes, there should be resistance to the purpose of the scrutiny of the situation. There cannot be a scrutinized, precise situation but only to the extent that you have two contradictory forces and you can compare the two and position them one opposite the other and weigh.

S. Meaning if there’s some social activity that’s supposed to happen in a while and I don’t feel rejection then I guess I’m inspired by it and then there’s probably a problem with it.

R. No, no, perhaps not. It is also clear to me that the resistance to something doesn’t mean that the action itself is justified, that there is room for it and I don’t accept it.

S. Let’s say resistance is a measurement for something, an indication?

R. It depends on what. We shouldn’t assume that if there’s resistance, we shouldn’t right away think that this is the truth.

S. But let’s say that if there’s resistance to connection and you’re still going for that action what you answered before I didn’t understand. In corporeality that’s the advantage that I can internally resist it but I still go there and the state can change. That’s what great about corporeality, that with my body I can do actions that I cannot do with my desire. You answered something like maybe don’t come but we say in corporeality you have to come or otherwise you won’t come out of that state. Let’s say that today there’s a gathering of friends and I don’t feel like it so I won’t come, I’ll sit with myself and scrutinize what’s going on but typically we don’t consider such actions.

R. That’s fine.

20. S. (59:03) It is said that their outcry will rise to the Creator from the work and the Creator heard their cry. So what pains them, when the God hears the suffering of the work or that they cannot bestow? What pains them, that the Creator hears the work that torments them or the state of not being able to bestow yet?

R. I guess that they cannot bestow.

S. How to relate to the work?

R. Just like that? Any work?

S. The work that we want to do when we want to go against nature. It’s tormenting, it’s unpleasant to be torn between two forces. How to treat that?

R. With joy.

S. But it’s not joyful.

R. That’s what you need to work on.

S. What state does a person need to reach in his spiritual work in terms of the attitude to the work?

R. To constantly be in joy.

S. Why? Why is he joyful?

R. Because through it he has connection with the Creator.

S. That’s the peak that he has to hold on to? That he feels the work becomes joyful, we have to achieve that?

R. Yes.

21. S. (01:00:44) Two questions. First about the scrutiny, how to clarify or sort out the pleasure from that event if it’s an intention to receive or bestow? How to accurately put the intention here, to press the button so that it’s not in order to receive but in order to bestow?

R. This is really what we need to do. Scrutinizing the intention is our entire progress and how do we check it? By it being accepted in each ten because we have no connection with the Creator and we will never have connection with the Creator unless through connection between us in the ten only. And then we come to a state where we can direct ourselves to the Creator and this gives us great joy.

S. We’ve done that and still there is this fear that we won’t bring contentment. How to always make sure that when I come to such an event and I’m happy about it and to the extent that I come to connect with a friend and I’m connected to them, how do I make sure 100% that I bring contentment?

R. What does it mean for you to make sure 100%?

S. I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking for an answer.

R. So what could be an answer for you?

S. I don’t want approval from the Creator that I bring Him contentment or from the friends. I want to know that when I make the intention and scrutiny within, I want to make sure there that I am bringing contentment.

R. Based on what?

S. That’s what I’m asking.

R. There is nothing to base yourself on here, only based on the ten and the world Kli, that’s it.

22. S. (01:03:18) Second question. How to make sure when we connect with discover there, in the connection between us the Creator?

R. That already has to do with revelation of the face, I don’t know when you will reach it. If you yearn, you’ll get there.

23. S. (01:03:45) Actually it’s similar to the second question he asked. We do a lot of actions and ultimately we want to reach love of the Creator but before that we have love of friends. So sometimes we come to more connection with the friends, sometimes less but when we get to some more connection where is the Creator, because you feel close to the friend but not more than that?

R. When you feel yourself closer to the friends don’t you feel that you are scrutinizing higher qualities in your connection with the friends?

S. Not always.

R. So you didn’t come closer to the friend because from the love of people there has to be the love of the Creator.

S. So to really get close to the friend is to clarify His upper qualities? What is that?

R. Yes, try to check some more.

24. S. (01:05:20) It says in the article and he tries to always be meticulous, that according the people usually are lightheaded about it. So the friends are asking what are those judgments to be meticulous about and what does it mean to be lightheaded about it?

R. That I can do these things in a more lenient way, in the broader boundary. It’s very simple.

25. S. (01:06:02) How do we advance in preparing ourselves for the right prayer?

R. Through a connection between us.

S. How do I know if my intention is correct?

R. Only with respect to connection. We are in all kinds of directions and we don’t even know how we are dispersed with respect to the goal. But the more we connect between us the closer we are to the goal for sure.

26. S. (01:06:56) You explained before about hell, that one cannot advance. What is the difference between that state and the state that has to do with the Klipot? What’s the relationship between these two states?

R. Again?

S. What’s the connection between the state of hell and the state of Klipot? Is there connection between these two states?

R. Of course there is. The Klipot, the shells and hell and all those states are connected to each other. They are all in the intention to receive in order to receive.

27. S. (01:07:52) Like you said everything is through the connection with the friends. So what is it in this connection between us, this work between us that brings us to this feeling of that the Creator is great and ruling? What specific work in our connection is needed for that feeling?

R. When we connect more we feel more and more how high our point of connection is and also how dangerous it is. There are two things here that are connected within them and in this way we come to greater fear, to greater love, greater connection and also to a greater tension.

S. What is so dangerous, this feeling of dangerousness?

R. We will learn it. Let’s wait a little bit.

28. S. (01:09:45) We talked about the difference between different kinds of people, one wants to bring contentment to the Creator and one wants to receive. The question is what is the goal of the study? What is the purpose of the study for the person who doesn’t have as a root the goal of bringing contentment to the Creator?

R. So he is incorporated in the group and can go together with them until the end of correction and he will lack nothing. The Creator will be able to plant in him everything he needs because he is in a ten and he compliments them and they compliment him.

29. S. (01:11:29) The friend raised the deficiency to focus a bit. There is central axis here or thread through all the questions of the friends. We learned there are two forces here, there’s pleasure and pain. So the friends received answers of pain, you have to feel resistance everywhere, if you don’t feel resistance even in meeting with the friends already make sure there’s no flaw here. Then comes another friend and you tell him you have to have joy, only joy and joy belongs to pleasure, resistance belongs to pain. It turns out there are two lines in the lesson in this scrutiny and there’s a very good parallel to this so how to relate to that? In this reality we have pleasure and pain, how to relate to it? If it’s pleasure like you told the friend to do everything in joy so he will fail himself to begin with because he’s happy towards the friends or it’s like the other friend, if he’s happy about the Congress he should even consider not to come, only if he’s completely tormented then he should come. So what is the right approach, how to truly relate and be in true joy to everything?

R. Real joy I don’t know what it is. I know about actions. If we’re talking about the ten, the personal or the general ten then we need to talk about the connection between us, that’s it. This is what we are talking about, about the connection.

S. Yes but there was an issue of before every action to go through a tough scrutiny discovering that I don’t want the action at all, that’s one style of work and then there is another flow chart of coming  in joy to begin with. That I’m calibrated this way, truly happy but I have to prepare myself for it. So what’s the track? Is there a difference or it doesn’t matter if I come left or right or just come?

R. Of course the main thing is just to come, no doubt.

S. And everything is Kosher for that? Right, left, doesn’t matter what style of work?

R. What’s the difference between right and left if I’m advancing through both?

S. No difference with respect to the goal, only with respect to the students, the subjective experience because you always judge yourself through your own flaws. As the friend was really crying said I only want to know for myself and he understood he can’t even ask it because the question itself disqualifies it. Just for myself to know is already in order to receive so even just asking the question, it cannot be asked.

R. We will give you time to think and then you’ll ask later on.

30. S. (01:15:12) Fear of the Creator is the same as fear of the friends?

R. Yes.

S. What is this fear?

R. Whether I can connect all these friends in my heart together, can I bring forth connection for them and through that connection can I send the thoughts desires of mine to the Creator? That all is associated with the connection between us, me and the ten.

31. S. (01:16:06) Yesterday my friends helped me understand that I was in a descent and I couldn’t really pray for it because I didn’t feel like I was in a descent.

R. Believe the friends. Believe the friends, that’s what Rabash tells us. If I get from a meeting with the friends a feeling or even if I hear that I’m in a descent then I need to accept it as the truth because the Creator is within the friends.

S. But the feeling is that you’re with them, you feel like you’re doing stuff with them, you’re active with them, you’re trying to come to connection but..

R. You can scrutinize that with them. Please, that’s up to you, that’s in your hands.

32. S. (01:17:36) You said that we can connect with the friends through the Creator, for Him to be the glue between us. Can we come to that state only through the exile, knowing that if He doesn’t do it then we’re only stuck within our thoughts or that we need the light that reforms or that we only need to advance through the No No No and then only He can help?

R. Eventually we come to a state in which only the Creator can help and answer and arrange a new state between us from which we will understand ourselves, our state and the direction for advancement. That’s how eventually we decide.

33. S. (01:18:53) To continue the scrutinies of the friends, the discernments of the friends I learned from you not to fear the truth and what do I mean? We’re always between the Klipot and I feel that on the constant basis. That as long as I make the effort to connect the Creator doesn’t allow me to do it and He gives me this effort to ask of Him to love the friends more and to come closer to them and this is how it is, always between these two lines. Is this the true joy? Because I feel on the path that I’m not afraid to reveal this and ask the Creator more and more and feel the friends as they’re a part of me. Is this the correct state?

R. See what the Creator answers you but until you feel His response you must, you truly must continue again and again. Ask Him.

S. This is what I do all the time. He is giving me a state where I feel a little distant from the friends and I have to give more effort and then I feel the friends closer and He’s giving me this work all the time. He distances me, He brings me closer.

R. Yes, well that will be clarified. More than likely you need this game, this nearing and distancing of the Creator towards you.

S. Until what point, until when?

R. Until when? Until you will start to feel yourself free in it. That it doesn’t matter if you’re near or far as long as you have connection and the connection that you have moves through all your different qualities so it appears to you as near or further but it’s connection nevertheless, even posterior to posterior.

34. S. (01:21:21) Rabash depicts in the article a state that a side of actions a person can bend himself and go above reason. On the other hand the person cannot go against the reason and say that he feels something that he doesn’t feel. So I don’t know how to be able to feel a certain thing and do something opposite because usually you go with the feeling, the feeling blocks and if I don’t want to do usually I don’t do. Is this correct this feeling, this sensation that the action needs to be the opposite of the feeling?

R. We cannot depict ourselves Adam HaRishon that was before the Creator and there were no possibilities of defining other states of connection between him and the Creator. Therefore what is happening to us is we can define different relations between us and the Creator and from that we come to states in which we can change our standing before the Creator and observe ourselves in such a way that leads us to eventually identifying with Him. Well I don’t have words for this, no words. Meaning what I would like to say nevertheless is that to the extent in which we can be like the upper force it bestows more and more through us upon reality. Well I still can’t express it yet.

35. S. (01:24:07) You answered the friend that resistance means truth, that there is truth behind it. How do I know that this is a state to overcome or a state to annul before?

R. This is all only through connection. If the connection gradually grows and grows the way is correct, it’s simple. In the group there is nothing you can do, it’s all simple.

36. S. (01:25:05) Is it possible to change our status in relation to the Creator?

R. What was the question again?

S. What does it mean to change our status in relation to the Creator?

R. When we come closer to Him then we know Him more and accordingly we can address Him more and demand from Him things that are more precise, more essential. This defines our connection with the Creator, the measure of our connection, the type of connection.

37. S. (01:26:11) What is more beneficial to ask for, for the Creator to give us a genuine need to bestow to one another and then to Him or to ask for a genuine need to bestow to Him?

R. No, it has to be this and that. For all our connections we want them to be in order to eventually bring us to bestowing to Him, to the Creator.

38. S. (01:26:58) Is hell the opportunity to bestow even though he can’t and the burning of the heart? Is this hell or is it the same with the suffering of love?

R. Let it be that way for now, let it remain that way for now.

39. S. (01:27:38) Can I ask a general question about the article? Rabash has a very unique way, a very special way to take a topic and open it up and he takes us through step by step into the stages until he gets to the conclusion. Is there a way where we can understand Rabash’s approach, something at large for us to be able to adapt the high thought?
R. Of course you can reach his degree and then understand what he’s aimed towards the Kabbalist and what he wants to do, how he writes with what intention, of course of course. This is all according to our coming closer to Rabash himself.

S. How do we come close to him because he is able to take a topic and break it down to small pieces. He’d be able to finish an article in sentence and a half but he wants us to go through some stages along the way.

R. Yes.

40. S. (01:29:19) Does the fear of bestowal grows in us through the actions of bestowal or we see that there is nothing more than turning to Him?

R. Yes, that’s how it is exactly.

41. S. (01:30:01) This article looks like a mathematical formula that promises us an answer. So do we need to use the reason to come to real prayer or to adhere to the Creator with all our hearts and He will respond to us whenever he wants?

R. That’s right, exactly what you said. We need to turn to Him with all our hearts, with an open face and He can answer us whenever He decides that it’s worthwhile. That’s how we need to accept the attitude of the Creator to begin with upon us.
