Part 2:

The Conditions for Connection in the Ten- Selected Excerpts from the Sources (Greatness of the Creator. #3)

Reading #3 (00:18) “The main thing we need, and for which we have no fuel for the work, is that we are lacking importance of the goal…”

1. S. (02:11) Is it possible to say that at the time that a person feels that all of his life is required for him is only to work on the path of connection that Baal HaSulam and Rabash left for us and there’s nothing else to invest in. Is it possible to say that at that time he has 100% importance?

R. No, not at all. If he doesn’t have what to put into it more–maybe I don’t understand you–but if he has what to invest in and he can invest himself in all the business of the world and to enjoy to succeed and he doesn’t do that rather only invest himself in recognition of the greatness of the creator that’s considered to be in the greatness of the Creator.

S. Meaning, in and of itself the feeling that there’s nothing to work on or to chase it’s empty…

R. No no, that’s not the greatness of the Creator. It’s out of lack of choice, there’s nothing to invest in, everything is empty so I will deal with that at least.

2. S. (04:01) If a person says that the Creator is great he has fuel and he doesn’t see that the Creator is great he has no fuel so how to bound on that point that the Creator is great? How can a person elevate the Creator’s greatness?

R. This all depends only on your environment, only on the environment. If a person invests in himself with respect to his environment he bows down his head to his environment the, in the environment, the people around him pass the feeling of the greatness of the Creator to him he has the strength to do anything.

3. S. (04:48) We have received much strength from the welcoming and from the connection with the friends from the world Kli and I think we also need to see the friends in the Turkish Kli as great. Is there a degree of the greatness of the friends?

R. We have people who take care of the ten of the groups, it’s not my work, but they also have materials and the programs of how you can reach a state where each and every group will rise and rise and rise until the degree of the Creator. That question is not for me. Who should we address this question?

S. There are lessons every Wednesday in Turkish for the Turkish Kli, how can we strengthen the love of friends between us, so we have many programs throughout the week where all the friends can enter, can connect to, and we have seven programs each week and there are many opportunities.

R. You have everything, you do have everything.

Reading #4 (07:05) “According to what is written, “In the multitude of people is the King’s glory..”

4. S. (09:09) We do have a big gathering all of the lessons we are together with you. My question came from the previous part of the lesson so I’m not sure if it’s appropriate but maybe I will ask this question. What does it mean to serve the Creator and what does it mean to battle the Creator?

R. To battle with the Creator means to battle with those negative forces that He places before us and specifically through the war with them we become stronger and we understand what’s happening to us on the path. It is like when we go to school we are given all kinds of exercises, and exercises, and exercises, and you have to solve them, and solve them, and no one enjoys it but later we see that through them we grow up and become wiser.

S. What does it mean that my sons have defeated me? If we studied in the previous part that the Creator constantly is looking to show us that we are weak and we are incapable of winning conquering Him. What is this win this victory? Maybe something completely different than what we are depicting to ourselves.

R. A victory is when we are connected to the Creator, adhered to the Creator, and it doesn’t really matter upon what ego we rise. We don’t measure our degree according to the egoistic height that we were able to climb upon but rather the intensity of the connection between us and the Creator. That’s what’s important for us.

5. S. (12:08) In the first part of the lesson there was some healthy confusion, lots of forces, Moses, a strong Pharaoh, and I’m weak and only the group and here it appears to answer to everything the greatness of the Creator covers everything. Is it appropriate to relate to it like this?

R. Yes, yes, but after we go through all kinds of questions that were there before then we come to a state where we already understand what the whole success depends on.

6. S. (12:45) This excerpts of Rabash, it feels like he’s written precisely in what is happening now, “the greatness of the people is the King’s glory” and the environment, you really feel how you’re walking and you’ve merited this privilege of being among these people, everything is happening here. And with these large gatherings I’ve been speaking with many friends from the world Kli, and there is a sensation of some internal restriction of the people who are in places they live. You know, there’s nothing we can do, we live in this world and physicality, in corporeality and people express frustration that they’re sitting in front of the screen and they’re finding it difficult to connect, some living distant places, and this is what the Creator, He plays people in different places. And there’s this concern and maybe shame that we are here and my neighbors are with me on the path and they’re there somewhere in his whole, each one in a different place?

R. I think that actually, it’s for their own good that these feelings of distance are given to them and they have to overcome that and feel as if they are here with us. And that all depends only on the extent of the attention: how much are they putting themselves by force in between us. Some are here but their heads are somewhere else, some are at the other end of the world but their heart is here, I have nothing to add to that, this is the part for each and everyone. You can always ask ‘why wasn’t I born with Baal HaSulam’ and more and more such questions but each one has some place in the system of Adam HaRishon, we have to fulfill this place and then we feel the wholeness of everything.

7. S. (15:46) What is to be in the greatness of the Creator?

R. When you feel that the greatness of the Creator feels all your desires and thoughts, this is the meaning of being in the greatness of the Creator according to your vessels.

S. If a person doesn’t feel the greatness of the Creator then what should he do to come to this state?

R. To ask first of all, from the Creator, to ask of the Creator, to cry so that he will have the greatness of the Creator.

S. And if a person has no strength to ask from the Creator?

R. Then he has a society to awaken him by envy, lust and honor he will rise above his own degree to a higher one, he will feel how lesser and how he has no choice, he has to rise.

S. He can ask of the friends as he would ask of the Creator?

R. Of course, of course, and through all the friends how to turn to the Creator and along with them not to turn the Creator so that he will affect the friends. There’s a whole spectrum, a wide spectrum of addresses.

S. And finally it is written in the excerpt that if a person really feels the greatness of the Creator then even a tiny, small action that he does, he receives such joy?

R. That is correct because there’s no difference between a small and great action, in wholeness even the smallest completion, the small wholeness changes everything.

8. S. (18:12) Today is Sunday and it is as if everything has been wiped out, got erased, everything that happened until now, and we start with a new blank page and it’s says in this excerpt that “everyday, the whole day, you are in the greatness of the Creator, you are in constant joy”, what is this joy and gladness, what is the root of it, “joy from the greatness of the Creator”, that’s what’s written on here.

R. That is a special illumination as a result of good actions that a person does then he receives an additional illumination to his vessels from above.

S. If we want to realize it in practice, how do we do that in our connection, today, the entire day, the greatness of the Creator and today out of that, we are in joy?

R. This all depends on the connection between you and how much each one tries to do that, how much each one tries to pass on this feeling that the rest of the friends, ‘one should help his friend’, and then you will make such a system that will sustain itself all the time, it will hold.

S. Meaning the practical realization is that if I desire and try to realize in practice through action, the joy that I try to pass the greatness of the Creator to others?

R. Yes.

9. S. (20:54) “In a multitude of people is the King’s glory”, the question is what is ‘the multitude of a people’s nation? And to be more precise, if I understand correctly the Kabbalists have left us many writings for us to be able to receive Gadlut, the greatness of the King, so the question is what is ‘the nation’, ‘the multitude of people’?

R. The question itself, is the people, what is the nation? The people, that’s a group of people or desires to receive that are willing to be connected in order to reach a certain goal they have. Just as it is written on the footsteps of Mount Sinai that “you have become a people today”. There where over there they had everyone who came out of Egypt, all of humanity, it doesn’t matter who it was, but now if they are connecting in order to come to a connection with the Creator then they are considered to be ‘a people’, and ‘a nation’.

10. S. (22:42) The multitude of people gives more greatness, is it because our ego has a tendency to believe others or the majority, explain please on a more internal level?

R. To the extent that we try to be together we go into the internality of the system of Adam HaRishon and then we feel it more, Adam HaRishon, this system, the ten Sephirot that the Creator is clothed in and this is what we should come to and to assimilating in them, to connect to them.

S. If I understand correctly, the quantity is important in the beginning rather than at the end, it’s the quality that is more important.

R. Yes, all our work is in the quality, yes.

11. S. (24:40) Besides connecting with the ten, is it also okay to use imagination to imagine the state out of Egypt and in unity when I don’t have the feeling of unity within me?

R. Well, you can use your imagination, nothing in us that the Creator created, He didn’t create it for no reason, of course we may use all of the qualities, however, it depends on what limits.

12. S. (25:43) Tell me please what is the role of gratitude in the recognition of the greatness of the Creator?

R. That’s very big, to the extent that we are in the feeling of gratitude and how much we want to convey ourselves to the One who gives us emotions and notions about the upper system, so we advance and actually through that.

S. Are we able to help one another in this line of this gratitude?

R. Examples, you can use examples, you can suggest examples.

13. S. (26:43) You said that we are not measuring our degree according to the degree of egoism but according to the adhesion with the Creator; on the other hand, you said that the adhesion with the ten is what I’m feeling in the light. My question is: does adhesion of the Creator, is clarifying the internal light or the reflected light?

R. The inner light.

14. S. (27:49) I feel complete and total dependence on the Creator. I understand that we can advance to the unity of the Creator only to the degree that He wants it, He reveals to us the evil, He gives to us the deficiency, the desire to unite, to address, turn to Him, He does everything, can such a feeling be called the greatness of the Creator?

R. Well, partially, partially.

S. And for this to be complete greatness of the Creator do I need to add gratitude to it?

R. Not only that, you have to incorporate what do I receive for Him and to receive it in our complete vessel, well it will come, in the meantime, it is nice.

15. S. (29:12) What action of the group, of the society, can we find the most greatness of the Creator?

R. With the friends, with the friends, you have no other system that can lead you to the greatness of the Creator.

S. Rabash writes right here about ‘a gathering’.

R. Yes, it’s a gathering where friends sit together and they talk about their fortune, their destiny, their plans, and how much they’re connected to the Creator and what else they have to do about it.

S. So how in this action can we identify the greatness of the Creator and increase it?

R. The greatness of the Creator is revealed sometimes after a person goes through some process, then a certain greatness of the Creator is revealed to him, and then again a certain greatness of the Creator is revealed and that’s how it happens.

S. The daily actions that are happening, the meals, etc., how can I find the greatness of the Creator there?

R. It depends on the way a person relates to it, it depends how he relates to it, if the meal is the meal of friends when everyone needs to feel the friends in order to pass on to them and receive from them the greatness of the Creator and the importance of the goal, then each and every meal and other such events become something very, very important. It all depends on the participants.

16. S. (31:33) I have an unbearable feeling of separation from the Israeli groups and the world Kli groups that for the first time are not attending so intensively all of the lessons. What is the degree of Arvut that is required between us in order for us to successfully exit Egypt.

R. The extent that the Arvut that is required from us to strengthen each and every friend and to be certain that we are advancing towards the goal, that’s one thing; and another thing is that we must is to feel ourselves that we’re in a state that the society, they count on us, lean on us, rather than us all the time leaning on society and bringing the strength out of it, that’s it. This is why I have to be pretty strong and independent and I prepare myself to be in the right place where the friends can lean on me in order to reach the goal, rather than coming closer to the opposite state when I wait for a state where I can grab them and find the forces I myself need. That’s it.

17. S. (34:05) Is appreciation of the quality of bestowal the greatness of the Creator when we sense the disparity of what we are and what the Creator is and we appreciate that quality and we want it, is that the greatness of the Creator?

R. In the recognition of the greatness of the Creator, we have a few things: on the one hand, to the extent that He is great in my eyes, that I’m impressed more and have a seemingly before me some great future and great force, great support etc., that’s on the one hand. On the other hand, to the extent that I’m close to Him, it’s as if this feeling can be a bit more diminished, smaller, weaker, so here we need to pay attention that the feeling of the greatness of the Creator is constantly greater and the Creator becomes bigger and bigger even though I myself I’m closer to Him. I don’t really have the words, I didn’t think we would talk about it.

S. When I go back to the UK, the biggest gift that I have is the Passover, is the importance of saving the ten, I feel as if I need to put a big plaque of in front of me “saving the ten is the greatest goal you can achieve” because when the gentleman asked the question, if there is anything similar in this world to the changing from one to another and you gave the example of different parts in a car, production, which if they don’t work together there won’t be any car. So for once in my life I grasp it that if we don’t save one another, help one another, we will never have a ten that is similar to the Creator. So when I go back, that’s what I’m taking with me as the most important thing from this Passover and thank you for that.

R. Thank you, okay friends

18. S. (37:43) The greatness of the Creator is always opposite to the greatness of my ‘I’, so why in the revelation of the greatness of the Creator we don’t experience sadness but we experience joy, could it be that we exit from the rule of the ego?

R. Yes, if I’m connected to the Creator, the Creator is, “One who is connected to a great One is great.
