Part 1:

1. Zohar for All. “Introduction of The Book of Zohar”. Who Is This. #169

1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:27) Yes, and we are again examining and connecting with our tendency to rise and rise to the Creator with His help and this is basically our whole life, only to identify that we are doing this every day even though we are not aware of it every moment, but we are certainly already approaching states where each and everybody should start being inspired and excited over how each day we have, although a small ascent but it is an ascent, and it is small because we cannot identify great things. Like babies or little children who do not notice the great things happening next to them, everything seems in small-scale to them, So let’s see how each day we can make an ascent until we begin to enter it more and more, and personal and in a group way, and as the whole world.

Reading 169. (02:01 – 07:36)

2. R. (07:40) Let’s continue for the time being, it is just like an introduction.

Reading 170. (07:49 – 15:48)

3. R. (15:54) Let’s continue, I do not see here for the time being any place for additions.

Reading 171., 172., 173. (16:05 – 30:43)

4. R. (30:46) I see there are many questions here, well, it is good.

5. S. (30:55) Can we speak of some state where we’re always alert or awake so we can protect ourselves from death that that text mentions or the primordial serpent or all of that?

R. No, it’s impossible, just imaging that we get into some action or activity and we succeed in it and advance well into abundance, into infinity or something, then we don’t need the Creator. We are successful on our own and we don’t care about anything. In this way we will not find the upper force, we will not want to rise to His level because we are successful on our own level, on our current level, in our current state.

So it doesn’t work this way, the Creator organizes such situations for us every time where we feel a little more and little more how much we have to get new forces and new vessels from Him. And then we acquire it from Him, we ask and then we get it, and eventually we become like Him and then we advance correctly. This is the main thing that every single moment we discover what it is that we lack and how to receive it from the Creator. This is basically our entire work, our whole life.

6. S. (33:01) In the text it speaks about ‘sleep’ and ‘trust’, is there a connection between sleep and trust, and what quality in our ten represents their action of ‘washing their hands with water’?

R. ‘Sleep’ is called ‘the departure of the Mochin when the person cannot quite examine what is happening to him, just like when we are asleep. And the rest we receive from above, the main thing is to feel that we are asleep and we are lacking something which is to connect between us and to ask the Creator. Everything else, all the guidance and everything we ask and what we have to achieve, everything, we receive it from above.

7. S. (34:24) It says “the righteous raise the Malchut in correction”, what is it in the ten, the Malchut?

R. That they can connect together and that they feel their one common root which is called the Creator and they can turn to Him and ask Him, and receive from Him everything they need; this is why all of us are parts of Malchut?

S. It is our common desire in the ten, this is what we are trying to correct?

R. Yes.

8. S. (35:24) Does Malchut rise to Bina only in the state of desert and what is ‘the inheritance’ the text mentions here in the beginning where it says “from the desert she inherited that to become a bride and getting to the Huppah”?

R. Malchut is called ‘a bride’ and in the end she has to be a woman, a wife, to rise to a level of Zeir Anpin and be connected to Zeir Anpin, and together they are to be called ZON and they have to rise and gather, assemble, with Aba ve Ima and this is their place when Zeir Anpin and Malchut become like Aba ve Ima, this is basically all the corrections.

9. S. (36:51) The spiritual work right after waking up, what is that?

R. To raise our vessels of reception from the will to receive in order to receive that’s left in them after we sleep, after we are disconnected from holiness, and then we are ready with our vessels, with our hands, to enter, to go into scrutinies and corrections in order to bestow onto the Creator.

S. It also happens as a physical action where when I wake up I ask the Creator to connect?

R. Physical actions have no connection, you can wash your hands with whatever you want but the spiritual will remain on them.

S. Concerning waking up, when we wake up from a dream?

R. Spiritual ones or what?

S. Physical, let’s say that in a state of sleep I do not control myself, but when I wake up physically, but when I wake up spiritually, what is this?

R. Yes, we also wash our hands, we wash hands but the it does not give us any spiritual cleaning, you yourself understand that there is nothing spiritual in this cup of water, you are simply washing your hands. But washing your hands in the spiritual liquid, in spiritual water, that’s a different story, we have to rise to the level of the water, the level of Bina and then you wash your desire to receive in such a way that all the intention of reception goes away and only the intention to bestow remains. And then you can do with these hands whatever you want, this will be the correct work in bestowal.

10. S. (39:26) So talking about washing the hands, it says that “two vessels have to be prepared, a higher vessel which is the washing cup and then a lower vessel to receive the filth”, why does there have to be a vessel to receive the filth, what is this about?

R. So we do not spread it everywhere but rather take this vessel into which we poured water from our hands and these waters are no longer pure and then spill this water in the intended place, the place of filth.

11. S. (40:21) I want to scrutinize what is a dream in spiritually, what does it mean that the person is ‘asleep’, is he in a descend or inactive spiritually, what does it mean by sleeping?

R. When a person is not active spiritually, this is called sleep or being in a dream.

12. S. (40:52) We are saying that washing the hands is the preparation for intention and the edges, ‘the tips of the fingers’ are these are vessels of bestowal?

R. ‘The tips of the fingers’ are the crassest intentions from which it is very difficult for us to extract the egoistic intention so that main thing we have to do is to wash the tips of the fingers. We know what these vessels are but they’re not our physical hands or the tips of our physical hands.

S. Please tell me, ‘the hands’, they are to do work, to bestow, the hands, do they symbolize bestowal?

R. Not necessarily, the hands can also symbolize reception, it depends how you use them, this is why we need to wash them meaning to remove from them all the possibilities that are unclean, possibilities of reception, so only the ability to bestow receives in them and then we can use these hands.

13. S. (42:30) Is the intention that we do in washing our hands, is this enough?

R. No, no, no, we shouldn’t get confused with this intention or that washing of the hands, everything is in its place. We only need to say that all the commandments we do are in order to clean, to cleanse the desire to receive from the intention to receive, all the commandments are to cleanse the will to receive of the person from the intention to receive.

14. S. (43:47) In the previous excerpt, he talked a lot about speaking in a whisper without a voice, is there an advantage in this silence that we can use in the ten?

R. No, we do not need it for now.

15. S. (44:09) What is the logical action of the ten of ‘going to the lavatory’?

R. When we want to get rid of all the filth that we have in the will to receive and this is why we need it.

16. S. (44:37) The issue of ‘raising a prayer MAN only through the lips without moving the palate”, does it have any meaning in our work?

R. In the meantime, this is what it says, there will be many more possibilities in raising MAN.
