Lesson 3: Adhering to the Friends

Rav’s Introduction: The whole purpose of our work is to resemble the Creator and by that we can reach discovering Him adhering to Him being in contact with Him. The degrees of contact the degrees of connection with the person for the Creator is called the degrees of attainment the degrees of adhesion and this is our whole purpose. To climb up those degrees until we reach complete adhesion. The end of correction of our will to receive that can resemble The Creator entirely in order to bestow, however the Creator himself is hidden. We can say with respect to us he does not exist so how can we discover the quality of bestowal and love that we need to resemble until we reach complete resemblance called adhesion. This is why the Creator gave as the society meaning he broke our will to receive, the Adam into many pieces in such a way that through the connection between us, we build each one as much as he nullifies to the others as much as he adheres to the others. By that the person comes closer to the concept of the Creator and understands and feels what does it mean the quality of bestowal. This is how he attains it, he attains the Creator.

Therefore it is impossible to attain The Creator but only through connection with those parts of the Adam HaRishon that the Creator prepared for us as broken, far away, hated, opposite from us and as much as we understand that more and we feel it more and more. On one hand we feel how much we are opposite and far away and we do not want it and we do not want to be close to each other. That is we actually discover how far we are from the Creator. On the other hand more and more we understand how much we have no choice but to come closer to connect against our desire against our nature and therefore all of our work is to attain the Creator through the adhesion between us. Therefore adhesion with the friends and with the Creator is the same thing. Attaining the essence of the connection between us or attaining the Creator is also the same thing. It is very hard for us to accept this to understand and feel it. This is precisely against that shattering that exists between us which the Creator prepared for us and the high souls feel this shattering in a terrible way. They cannot understand they cannot feel, they simply do not understand what it is all about. They cannot think about connecting with each other all the more so connecting with an inner emotion more and more.

They feel themselves that they exist in some armor, some shield in such a form of a cover and they cannot think that they can even be closer to each other that they can take off this cover that is separating between them. This is a sign of a high soul because one who is greater than his friend, that he will be greater than his friend, then to begin with his evil inclination is greater. He will have to work more harder in order to come closer to others until he reaches connection with them. Specifically in this connection this is where he discovers the Creator, which is the essence of the connection, this is what we need to attain. How far we are and how much we need to be in adhesion and this is actually all of our work because in the distancing from the others that is revealed as a result of the shattering of Adam HaRishon of that system and in coming closer above the shattering, this is all of our work. Out of the efforts that we make even though we feel ourselves as being rejected or pushed away, there is this centrifugal force that is truly throwing us out but we have no choice. We have to overcome this and another day and another day until we achieve certain emotions flavors in the connection between us. We attain the necessity that the connection between people between the friends in the ten is actually the implementation of the correction of the world, the correction of creation this is our work.

This is how we will advance. There are many details in this and the most important is that each one shall help his friend. That we need to try to think how to help the friends and how can the friends help me. Here we can begin to learn from these two forms of work in how much and in what I can help the friends and in what can they help me. Out of this approach I start to learn the work of the Creator what it means the work of the Lord and in this way to advance. Even though we seemingly delayed and we spend a lot of time on the same topic on connection, coming closer and today it is adhering to the friends which is the topic of the lesson but our whole work is in this. To shift the emphasis of all our efforts through all kinds of actions to only the connection between us. To understand this it takes a lot of time. There are people who grasp it quickly, there are people who have a very high evil inclination and they are from the heavier parts of Adam and therefore it is hard for them to understand this. Nevertheless each and every one, as much as he is in it, as much as he is incorporated in it, nevertheless the person gets into it sooner or later. All of the parts of the general soul of Adam HaRishon, all these parts must move towards connection and within the connection they find their goal and the correction.

2. S. (10:32) You just explained the condition as helping us to go from our nature to enter an entire environment where we start to feel inside how truthful it is that the work of the Creator allows us to stay united, like we are developing special new senses. The question is how can we invest into this and make the whole physical part minimal and invest into the spiritual senses that are coming to us and to pass our work on to the friends who are not in tens?

R. I would put it this way, we are in a reality which appears to us entirely in desires that are far away from each other, each feeling himself that he is the center of the world and others should be circulating around him, serving him. This is how the person feels, this is how the person is born, this is how the person exists and along with that, in order to find the true picture we have to turn this upside down. That the center of our connection, it is the center of reality and we have to relate to the whole of reality in such a way. I do not know how else I will speak about this, seemingly I have talked about everything, the most important thing is to understand that connection between us is not just like some condition, as if it is part of the game but instead the connection between us. Rather, by that we build the Creator, as it says, “you have made me” that I cannot exist in this concept of the Creator, Boreh, come and see” (Bo-Re), but rather connect. This is what it means come and then you see and discover what it means to connect because only through something and it’s opposite can we attain that we are disconnected, far away, opposite to each other.

Specifically from that state, from the state of breakage if we come to get closer to each other and there all of those broken forms, the forms of the shattering, distancing, hatred, rejection, oppositeness between us, if all of those or all of them stay and remain. We all along with that, we try above them, as it says love covers all crimes, above them we try to connect and then first of all what we discover is that we are not capable of this and this is good, the fact that we are far away from each other, that I cannot feel the friends, it is good. This is how it will be, this is how it is created, this is how the Creator made it from the beginning without the minus we cannot attain the plus in the gap between the minus and the plus we attain the intensity, the power of the Creator. He is revealed as much there is a difference between a great ego and our connection which we also establish as great as much between them there is a difference, then this is that place for the revelation of the Creator. Therefore it says each and every day they “shall be as new in your eyes.“

It means that in each and every day the person has to feel as if he did not do any work so far and he has a new desire to receive which is not corrected and he has to start anew and somehow to rise above it to come closer to society and so on. This is actually the correct form of the work and do not be despaired but it just says that he has an even greater desire to receive that in the end it is intended that we discover the Creator as an even greater power and emotion, intellect, intensity and it is good. He should be happy about the fact that the person has more and more room to work because as much as he discovers a greater desire to receive, it is a sign that by this he is elevating himself on the left line, rising to greater heights on the ladder. Then he can add he should add, he is invited to add on the right line as well. This is the matter of love covers all crimes, that the crimes reveal more, greater and greater ones and we need to adhere ourselves to each other more above them and in this way, we rise on the ladder. There are people who very quickly discover this method and it is not hard for them to understand it through their feelings and it is a sign that the desire to receive is not so great in them.

They reach spiritual achievements quickly and there are others, for them it is very difficult not only to agree to the method, that we have to overcome the desire to receive each time, we have to overcome the ego, but also, they simply do not understand that this is the way, this is the method. It takes a lot of time, only after a lot of time, it could be a few years before they understand and they agree that this is the method and this is how it works. The Creator created the desire to receive, he broke it and we above that shattering, we have to find how to put together the desire to receive from the pieces, from the broken parts. Then those broken parts, those broken pieces when we connect, when we put them together, then out we start to attain connection on top of the shattering and out of that, in between this and that, we discover the essence of the Creator. This is how we attain him, we build him, this is how we understand him out of the two actions, that he performed he broke us and now that when we turn to him and he connect us out of these two actions, shattering and connection, we begin to understand and attain the Creator and this is how we progress.

3. S (19:30) Now from the broken state, from this connection through the group we start to turn to the Creator to ask to connect with the friends and he gives the sensation of connection with the ten but in what do I attain him after he has given us such a feeling, where is the connection with him?

R. From your actions we know you, that from the fact that the Creator, he himself is hidden, we cannot understand and feel him, he has to be revealed on top of some matter, on some action. Because otherwise, we, the created beings, are not able to attain this force, that force without his action in matter ,we cannot attain him. Even in this world, electricity or magnetism, gravity, in what way can you attain them, only when they are in action over some methods, some substance. Then you can attain that there is some force operating and you can study it’s actions on this substance and on those actions is what we call “from your actions we know you” on his actions, on the substance, you attain the force itself. Beyond the force you attain its intention, the purpose, all the actions which he performs over you, what you need to do in order to discover what does he want from you, that you come closer to him and understand him. All of those things we attain from the actions of the hidden force, that when it is revealed it is revealed through its actions. This is what we discover, from your actions we will know you and in this form we progress.

S. As you say, the action in practice, this force is revealed and gives us connection but the second part we discussed when I by this, we are discovering the thought of creation, the intention, how to reveal that?

R. Out of you working with the friends, wanting to come closer, you feel that you are moving away, you are thrown altogether out of the connection between you, you reach a state when you come closer to them in heart and soul, embracing them. You reject them, you love and you hate out of all kinds of such states you begin to feel what the Creator prepared in you, what he prepared in you, which emotions, which forces, which intentions, how much you come through such a twisted way to the Creator and also in between us. Out of that we get to know him inside the connection between us, that is the Creator has to be revealed in something and He is a force without substance, we need to give him the place, the surface, an area where he can be revealed just like in the reality of this world how we discover something. We build all kinds of instruments, devices, conditions and the preparations and actions so that later in them we discover some new thing. That phenomena then we can study and it is the same with the Creator we have to prepare such relations, such states between us in which we start to feel the upper force, how he works and operates. How we, through our actions of coming closer and distancing in all different states, we begin to feel how much the Creator is working in bringing us closer, pushing us away and this is called the relation of the Creator to the created beings.

There is no other place, no other reality, no other opportunity to get to know Him, all of his actions and all the forms of his relations to the created beings but only this way. This is how we discover Him, this is called “by your actions we get to know you.” What are the Creator’s actions? It is us, what He created in us and how we want to explore Him, research Him even more to do something against Him. How to do it in the laboratory, we perform all kinds of actions in order to discover something, how do we discover something, only by us doing something against something. Then we invite a certain response, we do something against it and we get some other response, so from these multitude of actions we study the responses and out of them we learn where we are and what we do and this is how we discover him. We are now together, all of us together in this laboratory, which actions should we perform in order to discover the Creator, ourselves, the whole environment, the entire world, the whole reality, it is all in our hands. So which actions should we perform, clearly what is left for us, what the Sages recommend are only actions of connection, actions of connection. The Creator deliberately broke the vessel, the connection between us in order for us to put it together, the connection and by that we get to know him. We get to know our essence first of all, the ego which he created between us and then this way we are in spiritual work what we call the work of the Lord. By that do we work or is the Creator doing the work, we discover the egoistic desire to receive he created, we come closer to the opposite work of bestowal, of correction, we give him a place to work, this is why it is called the work of the Creator, because we wake up the Creator to perform an act of connection over us.

4. S. (27:43) If the Creator doesn’t exist as long as I do not create him, where do I acquire the means to reveal him, if he does not exist, doesn’t limit our ability to attain him?

R. The Creator means come and see, BoReh, meaning it is the thing that you discover that to the extent that you overcome your ego, the force of rejection and you give the Creator an opportunity to be revealed, to help you to be revealed along with you. It is not that the upper force does not exist but he exists but he is not revealed because he can be revealed only through something and the opposite. As much as you try to give him a place to be revealed, he is revealed and this is why we say that our work resembles a laboratory, that we discover the conditions for the revelation of the Creator. Then we say ah, he is revealed, this is the Creator. In what, in the rejection between us that we want to rise above the rejection to connection to the extent we reject each other and as much as we want to come closer to each other, to that extent between this and that, between the rejection and the disposition, tendency for connection we discover this potential difference in which the Creator is revealed. Therefore we make him, we build him this concept the Creator does not exist but it is only in respect to the created beings but to begin with the upper force that is holding the whole reality, it is eternal, we cannot even say eternal about him because he is above time.

5. S. (30:14) If the Creator is everything and we are immersed in him all the time, why are we speaking about the idea of adhering ourselves to him?

R. Because this is about our relation, our revelation, our state, you see this is why it is all in respect to the person who attains. We are not talking about the Creator ever, this is the Creator, BoReh, come and see, he is called come and see. It is not that we are talking about something that exists outside of the person, that to the extent that person can come closer to this concept, to build the conditions for the revelation of this concept, that the person discovers it but it’s only in respect to the person attaining.

6. S. (31:34) The more we progress in the work I feel that I depend on the friend more and more, so the concept of the friend becomes a critical thing, so who is my friend?

R. You’re a friend is each and every one who is going to the same goal and he is apparently with you in the ten, so check it out more and more from one day to the next.

7. S. (32:07) You said that the friends who feel the method and they reach attainment quickly because they have smaller desire to receive, so how to help each other to accelerate the feeling of the method and reach attainment, the whole world Kli together?

R. We are coming to it although there are people who are still in the initial stages regarding the concept of the Creator and bestowal and there are those who are more advanced, so as much as they are together with all of us and especially through the common actions like the congress we are approaching. Such actions are very beneficial to the goal, that when we connect between us, we then breakthrough in a way that is better, there are those who have a greater will to receive, there are those who actually have the opposite, they have greater refinement. So we connect between us and then we break through together.

8. S. (33:40) So we do not need to wait for a congress, how the whole world Kli can make this transition, it doesn’t matter if it is a bigger or smaller desire ,how can we do this now?

R. This is what we are starting all the time, what are you asking, this is what we are studying all the time. Try each inside of himself to be connected with everybody, to help everybody as much as you can, everything is clarified in the thought and do it. What are you waiting for? Of course it is not about the congress but the congress when nevertheless, when it’s in action it is an occasion and opportunity, in some place, sometimes we all connect together in a single disposition. This certainly helps everyone, those who are beginners and those who are not even beginners but it is very hard for them to progress because their ego is very, very heavy. Eventually they will be very great, greater than everybody but for the time being it is very hard for them to move themselves from their place.

9. S. (34:58) I heard that we are learning about different actions to the Creator and by that we are learning his reaction, it produces a conflict with me?

R. The more we progress we also discover that we are thrown back, we are going through ascents and descents and therefore from these and from those states we progress. It is impossible without studying the descents we cannot get to know ourselves and we actually learn the work of the Creator from that. Specifically, out of the fact that we discover how much we are opposite, how much we are broken and great egoistic people, out of this we get to know what the Creator did and how he is correcting us later on. It all comes out of the shattering and so in the beginning of creation the Creator broke the vessel even seemingly he could have done it differently but he created the vessel in a perfect form and then he broke it through the light of Hochma. Then when the Kli receives seemingly in order to bestow that light of Hochma and wants to reach adhesion he discovers how much he is not capable and attaining the fact that he is not capable, this attainment is actually the breakage. Then the entire correction is about how we attain this limit, this boundary and how we gradually begin to correct ourselves.

10. S. (37:19) How can we replace our own authority with the authority of the ten, them controlling us instead of me controlling?

R. This is our entire work to raise the Creator who exists in the ten and is working on me through the ten, how to raise Him higher than everything else, this is what we need. How to do this is about connecting and learning together, each trying inside himself to change his values, how the value of connection is becoming greater than my own value. Whatever it is, I must arrange myself in each moment in such a way that the connection between us becomes higher than the feeling of myself, the individual egoistic feeling of myself and this is truthful for every observation and discernment in my life. So this is how I drink myself closer to spiritual view of the world.

11. S. (39:21) It should be mutual, it should not be just me that has this approach but also the friends when they relate to me should also have the same approach?

R. First of all the fact that I try to be this way, I direct myself and the fact that I show this to others even when I am not speaking about this, they get this from me, they get the forces and we are all in the field of forces. Additionally, I am talking about it a little bit and it is written about this so we convey this internally and emotionally and we are also showing positive examples to each other but of course this is the most important part.

12. S. (40:34) How can we as a ten help the friends intensify, accelerate the pace changing the state from breakage to connection?

R. This is a question that I do not have an answer for, except for one thing, we had to work on it all the time, try to ask from other tens and the way you I see you as always appearing diluted. So try to have more people in the morning lesson, these are the hours which make it possible to be free and liberated.

13. S. (45:18) In relation to coming closer the great congress soon and usually we reach a very strong closeness and then after it goes away, so what is the benefit in feeling that closeness if it goes away?

R. I do not understand you truly. We are in the 21st century and we are moving to devices that operate on higher and higher frequencies. I remember when I was a child, I put together all those radio transmitters when they had only one detector, one great antenna, battery or capacitor, generator and just a big antenna, one resistor, one capacitor. This is how I would tune in using the force of the wave. That is how you received things then they started to have these tubes and the transistors, the diodes and all kinds of other parts. Then they started to have such forms when you enter deeper and you enter the manufacturing of generating short waves and receiving short waves. We see that as technology progresses, it progresses thanks to frequencies, the changes that exist between states, this is the main aspect of progress as much as we can be accelerating and shortening the time. This is the index of the quality of the instrument, the number of changes it can arrange, digest each and every moment. This is the sign of our progress, just as we learn from Baal Shem Tov and his student when he says to him that in the last 5 minutes, he had 400 changes. There it is not an exaggeration, he knows this, he says this is a spirituality which is higher than our world, these are tremendous frequency changes that people go through. The fact that we are in a good state and then we fall into a bad state, it is the sign that we are in a new state and new is always more advanced relative to the goal. So we have to be in joy, we have to rejoice. That it was evening then there is a morning and it is one day, we have to get used to this. That everything starts from darkness, from night, from this agreement, from weakness, from lack of desire, from the revelation of the breakage where we reveal more and more, a greater and greater shattering as we get closer to the end of correction. The heavier, the harsher the broken states are revealed and we have to work against them and bring the connection between us into a higher and higher level of intensity and that’s how we progress as the advantage of the light is from within the darkness.

S. So there is no constant state?

R. How could there be a constant state, it does not exist in technology and spirituality or in anything. A constant or fixed is dead, he who does not change is dead and the change, it cannot be plus 5 and then plus 10 but it should go to the opposite. A thing and it’s opposite, we have articles on this and in spirituality everything is revealed from a thing and it’s opposite, this is why from the very beginning the Creator says he created the evil inclination, the opposite of me. Specifically it is opposite to me and then it returns to me each time in steps you can then attain and understand and get to know me.

14. S. (51:00) It sounds like before some exciting, great, important action to have preparation it is something natural, we get excitement, we get into the preparation. So what happens when the state is constant and there is no importance, how to prepare then?

R. You have friends who go through different states and then if you connect, then you can maintain a very high frequency and go through many changing states but if you are on your own certainly it is not working. If you measure yesterday, I had this, today I have this and what will be in this way you cannot progress, it is only through their level and intensity of connection you have to extract everything from the connection.

15. S. (52:39) The Creator did the shattering and on the other hand he wants the connection between us, so only he operates, the question is where is my work, effort only in the intention?

R. No, our work is by inviting, you awaken the dawn and not the dawn wakes me. I wish for the changes to take place regardless of whether they are good or bad because I feel myself and I can feel myself only in the difference between the states by performing a differential action. Meaning there was and there is and I progress this way all the time, it is important for me to see changes all the time, morning, evening, night, day because from the connection between them I feel life. If I feel only the night or the day this is death, there is no such thing that creature is the one which exists between the stages and he determines the speed by which he is going from one state to the other. The fact that he takes it as darkness as light, it does not matter, it is not important for him. It is the success, it is not important that on top of the light and the darkness and the day and night he feels, he comes to the connection with the Creator. Because the Creator creates the night and he makes the day and the main thing for the person is going through these states between them, to hold on to the Creator. This is what he has to yearn for and then it does not matter what states I am going through because the important thing for me is to be connected to the Creator and when those states come from him according to his plan, according to everything he does and the important for me is only to grab him, like baby holding onto his mother, clinging to the mother. I cannot do this without the group, this is the main thing the entire wisdom of Kabbalah is about in this concept of grabbing hold of Creator attaching ourselves to the Creator through the friends until we reach complete attachment regardless of the state over which conditions.

16. S. (56:15) Is the frequency of the scrutiny of the states influencing our advancement?

R. The more you advance the changing states, the frequency of the changing states will be higher. Just as I gave the example of, this technical example about the radio waves in the past, we used to work with waves that were a kilometer long, then a meter long or decimeter or centimeter; today it all depends on the frequency of changes, the frequency of changes. That is the meaning.

S. (57:21) Permanence is a dead state but we also learnt that the Creator is constant, and the Light in is absolute rest . How should we understand that?

R. The Creator relates the friends with absolute love and he wants to see them advancing, He wants to love them, He wants to bring them to a state where we are all connected between them and connected to Him, and this direction never changes. That is why we say that the Upper Light is in absolute rest. What kind of rest? It is an infinite number of changes but relative to the broken desires that are revealed and have to reach connection, so relative to those desires, you constantly chose yourself to work on those corrections, the Creator showing himself working in all directions but all directions. He only works in only one direction, in fact to bring them to connection. That is why we say the Creator is permanent and He is never changing and He exists only this way but the fact that He contains an infinite number of changes toward everyone, toward different calculations. This is the Upper Light which is in itself in absolute rest He is working on the broken vessels, in different opposing vessels, He is working on all of them, but each one, according to its degree of shattering comes to advance to the correction in different ways but course the Creator Himself does not change.

17. S. (59:25) You said that the most important thing is to hold onto the Creator. Does this mean to get a certain illumination or mitigation out of bestowal?

R. No, for the light we need to feel anything sweet, don’t wait for it, friends, if you are together with them, holding on to them, so they won’t run away from the connection, from the center of the ten, by this and your effort you reveal the Creator, only there.

18. S. (01:00:14) What is the meaning of the word to adhere, in the context of adhering with the Creator and adhering to the friend?

R. I adhere to the friends when all of us together have to be a single vessel, to have a single goal, a single action, that’s where we have to arrange for ourselves. What is important to me in this way is how I see the friends before me. I have to see that they have eyes but they cannot see. Although the other friends appear that they are not organized properly between, and towards the goal, and even more I hear from each one that that each one is slandering the others to some extent. I say about myself that my ears cannot hear, and I have to accept them above my reason. It is completely corrected and connected, and only I, in my egoistic desire I see them shattered, broken, distanced, and removed from one another and therefore I should not believe for my eyes or my ears, but rather I should see them as truly a ten that is in the end of correction and only, I need to invest myself, support them until I too will see it, and when I advance, I truly see. It is said that he who judges does it according to his own flaws. As much as I have a flaw in me, I’m shattered that mean my ego, and accordingly, I see as if they are in it, and that’s why I need each time not to look at what seems to me as broken and egoistic desire, but rather what kabbalists are telling me that around you there is a vessel, a complete connected vessel that is in a process of correction, not shattering, and because you are in a state of shattering not of correction then you see them, so you have to be grateful for having such a discernment, a clear discernment of how corrupt you are, and how corrected you need to be. In between these two states, you need to choose the correct direction with your attitude.

19. S. (01:04:05) If you say the Creator does not exist until we unite, how could it be that we cannot unite, until we ask Him to unite us?

R. Bo-Reh, Creator, means come and see. Before we build Him between us, we do not discover Him, but it doesn’t mean that He doesn’t exist and that you do not receive these powers, the forces. You just need to understand these concepts, Bo-Reh, come and see. In this he does not exist until we discover Him, we come to such a connection that we make Him from all the connections between us.

20. S. (01:04:50) The creation of the Creator, as it says you have made me, and the revelation of the Creator, is that the same process?

R. Yes.

21. S. (01:05:04) Does a person awaken the Light or does the Light awaken the person?

R. Of course the Light precedes everything, and then, it awakens the person and the person reacts to the Light in order to awaken it. Therefore, when we awaken the Light, it is called raising of MAN, but the deficiency in us comes from the Light that worked on us before.

22. S. (01:05:37) At which moment in our unity does the feeling of the Creator become permanent? At which moment in our unity does the feeling of the Creator become constant?

R. The feeling of the Creator, becoming constant is in the end of correction. If I understood correctly.

23. S. (01:06:16) You say that the connection should be more important than my ego. Can we also say the friends should be more important than me, or is it only the connection?

R. The friends, the connection between the friends all have to be more important than all other forms of relationship between us. The main thing is the connection, love covers all transgressions. I have to yearn for that. I have to see that as the goal every time I turn to the group. That love will cover all the crimes and transgressions between us, meaning, why do I need the friends for? In order to relate to them in love, not to correct them, criticize them, but rather to accept them. Our priority ahead of time that this is what the Creator gave me, so that I will love it, but I can’t do it, I hate them, hate all kinds of qualities in them, all kinds of behaviors, and that’s precisely what your ego is arranging to show you, so you should rise above it.

24. S. (01:07:04) Which actions should we perform in order to reach adhesion with the friends and the Creator?

R. Only actions of connection. From these actions of connection between us, we come to the connection with the Creator, and we don’t need more than that. That’s why from love of the created beings to love of the Creator, the connection between the created beings is the goal of our correction. All of our shattering, the shattering today between nations and people is also part of the revelation of the shattering between us and we have to get there with our connections to prevent further deterioration, disasters, and wars.

25. S. (01:08:48) What does it mean to get a hold of the Creator?

R. It means to hold on, or grab a hold to the connection between us, where we’re asking for the disappearing force, an invisible force to give us the sense of connection and adhesion, as one above all these rejections between us, even hatred, so that love will cover all transgressions. Let’s cover it with love.

Reading Excerpt # 1 (01:09:34) Rabash Article No. 17 “The Meaning of the Strict Prohibition…”

Rav explains (01:10:36) How can we feel that we are getting qualities, powerful forces from the friends? How can we feel it? A few weeks ago, a few months ago, I was in one form, and today I have qualities, desires, thoughts that are a little different. How could I detect what is happening in me is a result of the connection with the group? How can I see it? Without that, without my connection with the group, I wouldn’t have any changes and there couldn’t be in me any changes, because I am in a group, even if I’m in some remote group that’s not my ten, but I nevertheless belong to them, I advance. We see it as the example that you can’t compare a person who lives today to a person who lived 200 years ago with different feelings, different attitudes, different thoughts, everything is different. Why? Because he is in such an atmosphere where he is given such thoughts, and desires that are very different and that’s why he is the way he is, that’s why he behaves a certain way, thinks a certain way. How can we detect that today I see, I think, I feel, in short, I change because I am in a society but my incorporation with the friends builds in me a different person. How can we see it on the friends, we can see it? Because we change, and they change, but nevertheless how can we see it? How can we detect it? Try to think about it. That is something extremely important. Write it down. How do I look today at the society and the friends? How do I see them compared to how I saw them before? 26. S. (01:14:11) You said that we should detect our state relative to our incorporation and connection towards friends. It’s okay, but the more I invest in incorporation, the more the conditions in the ten are being arranged in the opposite, and it’s like the opposite, the more I invest in incorporation and love, I’m having more hate and more anger towards them, even and maybe I want to kill them, it is like during that state it’s impossible to turn to the Creator. I want to love them, I want to connect with them. It is like a huge mountain in front of me full of hate, how can I work on this?

R. I am very happy to hear that this is what you feel because these are signs of advancement. The fact that you now say that you feel that you are far from them is a sign of advancement but on one line, the left line. It is when you see how much of a gap there is between you and them, now the question is what to do? What you need to do is to make new connections above that, and these connections will promote you to spirituality already. When there are seemingly two lines, on the one hand, you are growing further away, and who is the one that makes this distance? It is the Creator, there is none else besides Him. No one works besides Him. If you do the opposite, and you want to come closer to them to such an extent that you want to identify the Creator between you and them, and you identify the Creator to the extent that you had the force of resistance, what we call Aviut (coarseness), and how much you have the force of connection, of adhesion, of cleansing, so in this gap between them minus and the plus the rejection and the connection, then you discover the third component, which is the Upper One, the one who comes first and He is the one who actually invited these states of coming closer and further away and then you call Him come and see, the Creator. That is how you rise to a higher degree. Maybe it’s a bit like looking at a picture seeing many colors, many things, but besides looking at that, it is like a child looking, but you are also like a grown up looking at it, and from that, you understand the purpose of the painter, what he wants to pass on to you what he felt. Meaning the inner contents of this picture, that is how we, when we discover ourselves in rejection and in proximity between these two states, we have to attain the middle line, the way the Creator relates to us, and what is His intention. That is how we attain Him, that is what is called from your “deeds we shall know you.” He is the maker of light, and the Creator of darkness and between the light and darkness, we discover His essence, His intention, His purpose, the way He relates to us. That’s it, and that’s how we will advance.

S. These states are happening right before the Congress?

R. No, it is because before Congress we all gather closer together. We think more, we feel more, we prepare ourselves more, and that’s why as a result of having many actions and each one, and all of us together, it affects you. So, for you it’s also easier to identify these changes.

27. S. (01:19:18) What does it mean, in practice, to be adhered to the ten, how should this adhesion look, and should it be something external or should we only feel it inside?

R. Adhesion in the ten means that I am like a baby on his mother, grabbing her with all his hands and feet wanting to be attached to her. That’s how I want to be in the ten. No matter what states happened to us right or left, I want to be attached to them in each and every state. All these states I go through or states that seem we all go through in a ten, I ascribe them to ‘there is none else besides Him’ and that’s why I have to be attached to the ten and through the ten to the Creator all the time. That is basically the form by which we succeed in reaching corrections very quickly because the only action I have is to hold on to the ten and through it to the Creator and this is how I discovered Him so that He will take care of us. This is the meaning of “I want to discover Him, I want Him to take care of us.” When I awaken him, I start discovering even greater changes in various directions left and right, and what I’m asking of Him is to be with more connection with Him, in adhesion, until I reach a state that I’m really incorporated in Him, incorporated in Him with all my ten, and this is how we return to the structure of Adam HaRishon.

28. S. (01:22:04) I wanted to clarify a question about the changes of frequencies, you mentioned if you can elaborate, when we start studying, we go through different feelings and it’s also externally, and the more we learn, the more we study, the more we advance with greater dynamic and the changes happen within us more hidden, because, on the one hand, we want to see more changes, on the other hand, we say change is not important to us.

R. If each and every one would work on his changes so that above his changes, he will be connected to the group then you will not grow further away from each other but rather upon all of these personal changes you would feel that you are all on one boat advancing together. Think about it, you have to do it.

29. S. (01:23:29) You said that society changed over time that it’s not the same society of hundreds of years ago, so how to know if what the sages say is relevant at all times and if this study is beyond time?

R. This study above time is that method when you have to rise above the personal ego to reach connection where we discover the Creator. That’s the whole purpose of our existence in the whole world and this reality.

30. S. (01:24:27) How do I express love to the friends in our ten?

R. By support, by care, that’s it. Like a mother with her children.

S. We just need to see their presence virtually and active?

R. Yes to connect them as much as you can with one man as one heart.

S. Is it possible to identify how and whether there is already a Creator in our ten between us?

R. Impossible because there is no connection between you yet.

31. S. (01:25:31) What are the eyes that can see and feel the Creator?

R. When you want to bestow that is how it is, then in this direction in this intention you discover the Creator.

32. S. (01:25:59) You said that we are incorporating with the friends in the ten with the Creator and sometimes we say that we incorporate with the soul of Adam HaRishon. What does it mean that we enter into the Creator?

R. When you want to attain this one concept, you are coming closer to the Creator in the ten.

S. What do you mean by one concept?

R. If we want to incorporate in this concept of one, the only, the unified, this point where everything is concentrated like before the big bang. That is the state we have to yearn for, and then on the way there, we discover the Creator, and his greatness is greater and greater in intention.

33. S. (01:27:23) Violence and anger, do these have to do with the frequency of our work?

R. These are personal things, we’ll talk about later. Now we are talking about connection. When such things are discovered against a connection, we just have to understand that these things come because we need to overcome them and reach a more intense connection.

34. S. (01:28:01) How to arrange it so that we build the Creator on the one hand, and on the other hand everything is the Creator?

R. Everything is the Creator of something you will discover later, but in the meantime, you have to start from having nothing, no connection to Him, you’re not perceiving Him, so start from what you are. There is what you have, and there is what you want, so bring yourself closer to this concept called Creator and then you’ll see that this concept is filling your whole life, your whole world building everything for you and not just words that you speak out loud.

35. S. (01:28:51) Is the sensation of the others the result of the connection or the feeling that has to be a stage before?

R. The feelings of others have to precede everything. That’s what we need to yearn for and in it we discover also the only force which is the Creator.

36. S. (01:29:26) We are the will to receive matter, the friends are also matter, and we discovered something in our actions that belongs to the spirit meaning that the compound of materials that we bring together, which is our desires and intentions that transition us to a wave to a frequency. What is the process here?

R. To the extent that the egoistic desires work above themselves in order to connect between themselves they discover a higher degree, a higher reality, that is the whole secret of rising from one degree to another. That there is me, and there is someone a friend against me, and to the extent that we try to connect between us, even though in our nature we are opposite we are against each other, we hate each other, but to the extent that we try to perform actions of connections in that way we reach state where the connection is revealed as the Creator, as a higher degree from our two points, the friend and me. Actually this is a good question.

S. The change of the frequency in the actions we do, that causes the revelation of love between us? If a friend blocks himself from the frequency that the friends communicate, does that stop the process?

R. No it doesn’t stop the process we have to accept the friend as the friend. He is with us, maybe he doesn’t understand, he cannot, everyone is in his own state. We have to justify the friends in as much as they can take part and we will advance. You are correct, suddenly today you have good questions.

37. S. (01:31:57) Besides the speed and the pace of revealing the states. Can we go through the states in a better or worse way?

R. Yes, this is something you will discover on the path. There’s a hero in quality, and there is a hero in quantity. How to combine these two forms in us, and there are other forms, we can just like in our life, we can work in different ways, how to do it optimally? How to connect all these things together? This is something we are learning, on the other hand there’s no righteous in this land that never sinned, that is why only by ascent and descent, ascend and fall we learn things. Meaning, every time we do something good, it is a sign that we previously we had been mistaken, we failed, we grew further away, we are sorry for what we had, we are crying, we are incapable, we are not discovering the weakness, our incapability not having enough force or emotion in our path, we address the Creator, we turn to Him, we see that we can’t and then we find in the end we discovered that among the friends we can find the connection between us that is why I’m a very happy we have a congress ahead of us and there, each of us according to his necessity we can find the support from the whole world kli.

38. S. (01:34:07) The others, does that mean it is all of the degrees, not just the friends, is it the still, the vegetative, and the animate too?

R. No, if you are close, you are close by intention not even to all people but especially our friends in the worldwide Bnei Baruch, that is first of all. I cannot say about animals, and vegetative, and still, they are with me within this whole process but that is because I’m in the process and they are incorporated in me. It is simply from the structure of the reality that I don’t focus my intention on them and they do not do any actions to me, but it is all and all because we are, to begin with, how we are built this way in this system.

S. I asked about those degrees before they become this matter, meaning, just the feeling of it and not in the physical sense.

R. They are incorporated in us, even if we do not focus our attention on them, but only on human beings, they are incorporated in us. We are only focusing on the created beings with us.

39. S. (01:36:19) What is to receive bestowal without work? I wake up in the morning and I don’t know what’s going on with myself and then when I see the friends coming together you start feeling differently, some upliftment.

R. That is true. I also feel that way and I have said it more than once.

S. Does that mean bestowal without work?

R. You are getting the force of bestowal from your ten, because you made this calibration over your emotions, your understandings and you are incorporated in them as you had internal work previously and you connect to them more than once every day then you can get from them the impression of the importance of the goal.

40. S. (01:37:03) What does the feeling and understanding of realizing the opportunity to connect between us, what does that give us that we rise above the will to receive?

R. I don’t understand, are you studying with us? What do you mean what does it give us? That is our whole vessel and there we discover spirituality, eternity, the Creator. What is this question, I don’t understand.

S. That is the question, that we build together the vessel of bestowal, when we are in the same feeling and understanding that we have the general shared desire and from that we can feel that force of bestowal?

R. Yes, actually I don’t really understand what you want. We have to connect between us all of the desires to connect, that is all and, in these desires, we discover the Creator. To such an extent that they’ll be discovered in the real form of the final connection. We do not have any other work. In all kinds of states we discover on the path these are degrees of our ascent in the ladder of degrees until we discover ourselves incorporated more in one another correcting the shattering, that is how we call it and that is how we reach the correction of the shattered vessel.

S. The same feeling that we already passed this stage of the shared desire in order to receive for ourselves and we have an intention to bestow to the upper force, to bring him contentment, is that the correct path?

R. Are you with us in the lessons all the time?

S. Everyday.

R. I don’t understand your words. We are talking about this all the time. Come to the congress and the main thing is to incorporate with us and everything will be okay. You’ll have a scrutiny over everything.

41. S. (01:43:26) I have a question about excerpt three where it says, “let our hearts see the virtue of our friends and not their faults.” What virtues are they talking about? Are they corporeal virtues, like how my friend looks or maybe his personality, what kind of virtues?

R. I want to look at the friends like a mother looking at her baby. She doesn’t see any unpleasant things because it is hers and she has love for him. It is natural, that is why she doesn’t see any bad things. All she sees are the good things. That is how we look at reality: what belongs to us is good and that is from our ego, what belongs to us is good and what doesn’t belong to us is bad. We want to reach a state where we look at the friends and in all the bad things that the Creator intentionally evokes between us in all these bad things, we do see in him, in each and every friend only good things. It is a sign that we correct ourselves with love, love covers all crimes. That is why we should come to pray to the Creator and to go to ask for the force of Correction so that we will see our friends’ merits and not their faults.

42. S. (01:45:33) It says in excerpt number 4 to increase the desire by people and so on and they compel them to follow their views and spirit. Of course we are talking about the friends here but if it is not clear or obvious that this is the direction of our relationships then…

R. If a person goes into a ten, he must do as much as he can in all kinds of levels and possibilities to insert himself into the ten, to subjugate himself and let them control him in everything. Meaning this whole atmosphere, whatever they decide he will agree to. Otherwise there’s no chance of having a ten at all.

43. S. (01:46:46) About excerpt number 3 before the Congress there’s some heaviness in a ten so how can you believe that the ego that the friends are not goal oriented and how to keep that?

R. This is a preparation that the Creator gives as some heaviness so that we can prepare ourselves to rise to a higher degree of connection above this heaviness otherwise how can you? We need to see these things as an invitation to rise, a call. Who will rise to the mountain of God and who will be in the place of holiness? The one who is clean, who has clean hands and a pure heart. Clean hands meaning he is getting rid of his egoistic form and a pure heart means that he’s only in bestowal and connection.

44. S. (01:49:15) Why is it better to see the greatness of the friends within reason then above reason if within reason it can serve my ego?

R. That is against my ego. That is the whole thing. The fact that I received the greatness of the friends above reason, well I get that it is above reason and that is how I accept even though I don’t feel it and I do not see it but I work accordingly. But, if I reach a state that I see that it is within reason already, this is different, it obligates me and is as a sign that I have corrected my vessels at least I identified it. That is why with a group it is best to work in a way that I will get an impression from it within reason.

45. S. (01:50:11) If I felt hatred towards the friends in the ten and it passed and a Creator didn’t become revealed, where am I wrong?

R. You probably did not annul yourself, but rather you made these egoistic calculations for the time being that it is best for you to change the situation this way or that way, in a way that is best for you not to suffer and that is why your attitude towards this state is not in order to bestow. It is not worthy of the revelation of the Creator in it.

46. S. (01:50:55) I work in the ten with supporting them and nullification and concern but I feel like there is a wall between us, how to break the wall?

R. Break the heart that is all. Break this heart. Start relating to your friends forcefully in a real form of an open heart and you will start feeling more and more.

47. S. (01:51:35) When I will start feeling myself will I immediately feel the Creator?

R. Of course but there’s something in between. Instead of me I feel the friends and, in these friends, I feel the Creator. You cannot do it without this intermediate state. You can’t. That is why it is written from the love of others to the love of the Creator.

48. S. (01:52:09) What can a ten give to the whole world Kli so that we succeed in the Congress together, all the whole world Kli to rise above ourselves?

R. We need to imagine to ourselves that either we all reach the goal or we do not at all. In attainment of the goal, with relation to the goal by that we cause the whole world to ascend or descend.
