Part 1:

I to my Beloved, and my Beloved to me” – Selected Excerpts from the Sources. #5

1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:18) Yes we’re exactly now in the month of Elul which is an abbreviation for Ani Ldodi vdodi Li ”me to my beloved and my beloved to me. It’s also a special time, especially that we can reach a state that we connect with. First of all between us and then in the Creator. To the extent that we connect between us we can connect to the Creator and not otherwise. Let’s not forget that. Usually people yearn to the Creator let me work it out with Him first I want to be in connection with the Creator.

They don’t understand that connection with the Creator is revealed and can be only to the extent of the connection between us, between  the friends, from love of the created beings to love of the Creator. Only in such a manner do we reach this. Let’s make an effort to correctly build the relations between us, the intention that passes from the heart of each one to the hearts of the friends, and from everyone from all the hearts to the Creator. Unless this will attain at least our influence on Him our bestowal to Him, me to my beloved and I to my beloved and later on will be privileged if the Creator wants, my beloved to me, that He will bestow upon us and will be an opportunity to be in connection with Him and tight and eternal adhesion with Him and with bestowal.

Reading excerpt #5 ( 02:25) “ It befits the one to cling to the one..” Twice

2. R. (05:56) What can I add here I don’t know it seems to me everything is written.

3. S. (05:12) You said we’re in a special time, a special month we can connect between us. What does it mean to connect?

R. Connect between us that we first of all should understand that without this we feel one another just as everyone each one feels himself then we don’t reach the Creator, that’s the most important.

4. S. (05:59) It says that it is good for the one to cling to the one, how do we cling to each other in the Ten in such a way?

R. If you are talking about the one quality that you need to obtain in order to attain this one goal, unity, then that already determines how much you’re getting closer until you become one. You are asking the Creator to do this because we are not capable but to be in a deficiency for it that we are capable by envy, lust, and honor, each one helps his friend.

As much as we will talk about it we will receive some initial deficiency and then afterwards more and more will be asking the Creator and after sometime it can even take a long time. We understand without the internal connection between us, deep in the heart, that we will not attain a quality that can bring us closer to the Creator and when we get closer and begin to attain it then we feel ourselves as one. We feel ourselves closer and closer and closer to the Creator. That’s how it happens. I can’t really add more words here. You see how much we read the text and everything it goes around just like a handful of words that everyone knows, everything revolves around them and the rest is what we need to change in the heart.

S. Could it be that this is the central point in our work?

R. Of course, that this is the most important point

S. It’s just that we do so many actions in the Ten and it seems to evade us and disappear from us and maybe we need a special exercise that’s focused on this specifically during the day, how to feel as one, be as one?

R. It’s a problem. There’s not so much words for this our vocabulary is just arranged for us to feel to scrutinize this concept of one, always when we talk we say one man in one heart and together it’s fairly artificial it immediately is revealed to us as some small lie, and we need to find here some plea to oneself that one’s heart should feel this concept without words. That’s how it is.

5. S. (09:50) At what moment can we begin to notice that the Creator is a part of us, and is it something that I feel one with the friend or the whole Ten feels ?

R. We can feel the influence of the Creator without even connecting as one, but these influences will be in this that the Creator is awakening us. It’s still not in this that we reach connecting towards him in connection between us and him, but when we reach connection between us and from this we begin to connect to the Creator, here we seemingly grasp him again in our network and that’s already a different sensation that we can grab onto him and start working with him meaning we hug and clothe him and more and more and more in the connection between us.

We bestow to him together we want to be truly united in order to reveal this quality. What is called one single and unique what is the Creator with respect to our concept of the created beings. That’s what we need to do and so each one can feel here and there some nearness of the Creator to him but it comes and goes and it has no permanence. We cannot work with this discernment in a manner in a continuous manner. Rather if we make efforts to be in connection between us, as much as possible, more and more than here we are already establishing a different form for connection with the Creator.

Which is if a few qualities of a few friends that connect together to be in connection with the one Creator, by this that we want to be as one, and then that’s a different connection already. That’s a connection that has in it this exchange of sensations and states that the private states for the friends but all of us connected, all of us to be connected between us and to Him to the Creator. Then we really grabbed hold of him like in a net just like we catch a fish in the net and in this the Creator says, “my sons have won me over”, that we have succeeded in catching him and holding him between us and all of this by this we each time except in ourselves more and more and more forms of bestowal which we learn from him, and he reveals to us different forms of a bestowal and we do except these forms of bestowal and make an effort to feel them in ourselves. Then it turns out in this slowly and gradually in this gradual work we reach equivalence of form. This is called I to my beloved and my beloved to me.

6. S. (14:26) What is the force that brings us closer together and leads us to union.

R. It’s a necessity to attain the Creator to bestow to him to connect and to feel him in to reveal Him. This necessity that without this we are animals, beasts and only when we reach the sensation of the Creator are we called human beings parts of him. This is what awakens us and advances us.

7. S. (15:30) When you open the lesson you said let’s try to build a relationship between us that the heart, the intention passes from one heart to the other heart and together towards the Creator, what does it mean that my intention goes to the friends hearts what intention is that?

R. Connection that’s the main thing. Again the results from one action the Creator created. He created the evil inclination and broke it in order that we can work with these parts of the evil inclination in order to connect them by the intention that we should have a good inclination.

S. In the lesson I’m looking to communicate intentions towards the friends or look for our common intentions toward the Creator?

R. I am looking to connect with the friends in order that from this we should result and bestowal to the Creator.

S. When we read these short excerpts that ultimately repeat themselves like you say, there’s not a lot of vocabulary, it’s a lot all about connecting between yourselves to the Creator. What’s the specific intention in each excerpt that we read?

R. I want to get into the excerpt. I want to make the effort to be impressed and to be inspired and excited about what’s written there which is written by Kabbalists. I want to tremble like this inner tremble and shake, that this was the Kabbalist when he wrote it. This is how we yearn to it and gradually we reach things and these awakenings in ours which will be in accordance with what’s written.

Excerpt number 6 (17:53) RABASH, Article No. 128, “Exalt the Lord Our God”

8. S. (19:45) What are the thoughts of Kedusha ?

R. Thoughts of sanctity? Not much, the intention to bestow that’s it. Just like the opposite and it’s the intention to receive. We don’t have reality that needs to confuse us. It’s rather simple. The intention to  receive is this world, thoughts of impurity and the intention to bestow is the spiritual world and thoughts of purity of sanctity. That’s it.

9. S. (20:37) When you just said that we have to try to feel it and dive into the feeling when we read I felt it to really strongly, how important really is it that we all try to be in this feeling entering that state that the Kabbalists write about in these great wonderful excerpts?

R. Very worthwhile the more the better and together, then later we forget it for a moment and then once again we connect and enter through more words. That’s how it is each time with these exits and entrances each time. We come from a greater distance than coming nearer again and thus we are building a stronger and stronger connection.

10. S. (21:38) To notify my reason over the years it becomes a bit more understood what can we add to annulment?

R. On the annulment we need to feel from the inside how much I agree with this state that I should not feel myself. That everything that the Kabbalists say that the society can say may be the teacher, how much for me it is above everything I could think and determine. That’s annulment.

11. S. (22:32 ) He writes here about ‘before his holy mountain”, what is holy?

R. Sanctity means separate, opposite from me what is in the desire to bestow in above reason that’s called sanctity.

S. Basically to bow before his holy mountain means that I have to push the friends towards love and bestowal?

R. Correct, just as you told the bride. Yes, say, you are separated from the whole world and you belong only to me. That’s called sanctified. Separated, separate from reception from our ego.

12. S. (23:36) It’s written in bow, meaning surrendering, meaning surrendering the body even though it disagrees” how to do that?

R. Yes and in actions we can do this and in prayers we can do this. Until there comes from above some unique illumination and sanctifies us and then we reach his holy mountain, slowly we begin to climb it.

13. S. (24:15) This mountain means there’s two qualities, reception and bestowal?

R. Of course, in each and everyone of us there’s a force of reception and bestowal. What are you asking about?

S. The mountain is his holy mountain. Is this when the two qualities are together?

R. Mountain is from the word Har, Hirhurim, doubts and thoughts, thoughts and opposition. it’s very hard to climb over. Nonetheless when we climb, We rise barely, barely but we do rise. That is called that we reach his holy mountain and by this we reveal what is sanctified and what is separate from the will to receive, which is a quality of bestowal. Separate from the intention to receive.

Excerpt 7 ( 25:37) Zohar for All, Lech Lecha [Go Forth], “After These Things..

14. S. (27:05) What does it mean to purify, he  who comes to purify?

R. Come to purify meaning that I wake in the upper one that I want to be in the quality of bestowal like Him and I do all sorts of preparations for this. I want to be connected to the friends and I want to bestow and from this I prepare myself for this. Then I am turning to the Creator and in this ultimately I receive some response from Him that I begin to feel how accordingly I am starting to change. How much I am capable of coming closer in my internally to the friends. I can see in myself such greater forces of bestowal desire to bestow, towards the friends through the friends to the Creator to open the heart more. It’s all not so simple but I feel that it’s in the same direction that it needs to be, and that’s how we advance. Sometimes it can take a long time until a person really hears this and then until he agrees with us and then begins to realize that it takes time but that’s the process. That’s the path.

15. S. (29:05) He describes two stages here, first I to my beloved and then his desires for me. Is it like creating the vessel and then fulfillment? Can you explain these two stages?

R. I, to my beloved, it’s clear. The person needs to begin, the truth is, if the Creator begins this but we don’t feel it. He awakens our heart and then we begin to somehow yearn, but ultimately when a person awakens the Creator by all sorts of means by this he connects to the group. He doesn’t know it that it’s the Creator who prepared this for him that he learns he doesn’t feel or understand that the Creator is learning with him, and so on and so on and by this that a person reaches a state that he awakens the Creator, then what happens is ‘ I to my beloved’, which is called the Creator is concealed, that the Creator is always the first.

When a person acts in this, he then reveals that this is how he awakens the Creator. it seems to him that this is how he awakens the Creator and not that the Creator is acting in him, and then the Creator is revealed and seemingly agrees to connect with the person, and that this is called and my sons have won me over but all this is a game from above, just as we play with children. Actually, all of this is the Creator. I am the first and I am the last.

16. S. (31:18) This first stage before there is the passion with what does a person come to the Creator?

R. In this the Creator awakens the person the Creator sends all sorts of messengers called Melachim angels for opportunities or maybe some book falls into a person’s hands. That’s how it happens, he hears something from somebody.

S. Why should it be like that? Why should the Creator need this initial action he awakens me?

R. There are many things in this oh, we later reveal that the main saying that the Creator did the creator cannot get involved in our free will, our free choice.

17. S. (32:26) It says here in the excerpt that the Shechina does not dwell with the wicked but we feel ourselves wicked feeling ourselves in the evil inclination we have no hope? No hope to acknowledge the Shechina or Godliness?

R. Along the way you need to get familiar with the wicked and make an effort to banish them and then in this extent you get closer to the Creator, all the wicked and then you.

18. S. (33:15) If we can’t find words like you said in the beginning how old is it possible to express connection?

R. By connection with the friends you will find words along with them slowly gradually and then you will attain the Creator you will reach a state that you’ll be able to talk to him

19. S. (33:53) How did the sinners become corrected?

R. Those are the same qualities which help us connect with friends. Those same qualities also bother me to connect with the Creator. Thus I first have to reach this that I annul these qualities as they are and then instead of them I developed qualities that I connect with the friends and then I richest state that I also can connect with the Creator. It’s very simple. We need to learn first on the relations between us in order to reach the correct relations with the Creator because the Creator is concealed and I don’t know what to do. I see that the whole world seemingly is confident that they have a connection with the Creator and our method is that we need to first to reach a state that we connect between us.

S. Does it mean that it’s my personal individual work?

R. Yes, of course.

20. S. (36:03) What does it mean His desire is for me?

R. I reveal the Creator wants me, to the extent that I yearn for him then I can reveal not immediately to the extent that my yearning is formed and established correctly then I feel his yearning towards me.

S. Can I discover this yearning only through the friends?

R. You’ll see how it is.

21. S. (35:49) Is part of our work to be inspired by the friends’ questions and see how much it advances the lesson?

R. Yes, of course. I am very very much impressed from your questions. Each time it obligates me to go over all sorts of discernment. I passed them but in this way that I go over them it renews many things for me and in a spiritual manner not just a knowledge or something spiritually. I think that everyone needs to yearn to hear what our friend say and what I answer because in this specifically we are building the network of connection between us, our mutual Kli where it comes from and where is it results from and where is its build from in from this each one asked and everyone asks and I answer and everyone tries and makes an effort to understand the answer and incorporate both of the question and the answer, Kabbablists write everything is built on question and answer.

22. S. (38:35) You said there’s something special about this time, I to my beloved and my beloved to me, so what’s special about this time?

R. Awakening, the month of awakening.

S. What does awakening mean?

R. Awakening means a suitable time for this that a person’s heart shall waken to the Creator.

S. I’m asking if there’s a connection between the spiritual and the period of time in this world?

R. Yes they’re also.

S. Really?

R. It’s not so simple that there’s nothing yes there’s many many things that we don’t understand don’t feel don’t know

S. There’s some importance to the time we study in?

R. Yes, there’s times for the bad and times for the good.

23. S. (39:42) It’s written that his desire is for me, how do we awaken the desire of the creator?

R. By this we yearn to him.

24. S. (40:05) I wanted to ask about what is this action that a person comes to purify?

R. That he wants to clean his heart. Cleanse his heart from all sorts of thoughts and desires and tendencies that are not exactly towards the Creator.

S. How does this process happen that you purify the heart?

R. Only by prayer only by prayer.

S. That’s clear it just follows from the item. It’s very much a person’s individual work. Where is his work in the Ten with respect to purify the heart?

R. It’s also towards the friends that I say that we need to cleanse ourselves towards the Creator then first I am aiming myself towards the friends because without this I cannot adhere to Him, the Creator is the general the common I cannot reach him only that by first I connect to the friends if I try to a myself to the Creator alone that is not correct it’s incorrect, you can seemingly like this check some private tendency but even that is not correct. Rather all the things we check only if we connect with the friends and with them to the Creator.

S. What does it mean that the heart is cleansed towards the friends?

R. That I want connection with everyone and I care for everyone and I push everyone towards the Creator and I will be the last one who is helping and doing.

25. S. (42:18) In a state where I don’t know how to connect and I don’t know how to pray, what do I do?

R. Then keep silent and listen, simply do you like that. You will see that slowly it changes nonetheless but without complaints and criticisms towards anything and no one, both the organization and the friends and the Ten and the Creator, rather all the time just listen and try to insert it into your heart that’s it.

26. S. (43:30) Our Ten today participated in preparation for the lesson and we feel a kind of connection between us. How can we move from this connection to a connection with the Creator?

R. You need to summarize between yourselves that you’re connecting all the desires and yearnings and tensions and tendencies together and aiming them together to the Creator, and you want that everything will connect in this and influence Him. This is the strongest action there can be from the group’s part.

27. S. (44:26) What does it mean to aim for the Creator in a more and more accurate way?

R. This is by how much we connect between us and we worry that in some total that the connection between us will be very sharp and very pinpointed and then it will direct to the Creator.

S. It feels like the connection is very scattered and broad?

R. Correct, correct, that shows you need to work on it because there is no Creator there is no place know where to aim yourselves. Rather specifically to the center of the connection between you there he is. You’re building him. You are establishing, forming this concept in this term of the Creator or He does not exist. He fills everything and does everything and everything but we’re, there isn’t. Rather only in the connection between you that you establish and form this connection between you, in the center of the connection between you and the agreement between you and your work between you yourselves there you locate it you detect it, this is the quality that you attain that he says you have built me, you have made me, there you build him and for him and adhere to him. It seemingly turns out that you are giving birth to him.

Excerpt 8 (46:45) Baal HaSulam, Letter No. 19 “To him who knows the Mysteries..” Twice

28. S. (50:35) Can you explain, maybe in a simpler manner, what is “the great Teki’a.”?

R. That is the coupling between man and the Creator in receiving in order to bestow in the mutual highest form, the final correction of man.

29. S. (51:18) I heard one of the answers that the Creator cannot get involved in our free choice that he gives us these obstacles, how do we reach the correct choice?

R. Only by connecting with friends, we can find out where we really are, otherwise an individual cannot determine the goal and where he is in relation to the goal and how he aims towards the goal, he cannot. Wherever we are we have to have at least 3 or at least two points to be properly aimed and a single individual can just go in all directions and say that’s right. Only if he is with the friends and the minimum is two but desirably up to 10.

30. S. (52:38 ) What is the listen to the Creator’s voice? How do we do this?

R. That requires reaching the degree of Bina, the light of Hassadim and then we will hear, then the level of vision, insight in light of Hochma.

31. S. (53:07) It is written thus he increases his coitus? His awakenings?

R. By not descending from bringing the Creator to connection between us and doing whatever is needed. That means that we awaken him to contact us, and then He appears in our connection. Appearing in our connection that means the beginning of the entrance, the beginning of the contact.

S. How do we go from private work to work in the group?

R. That you have to check on your own.

32. S. (54:07) It’s not so clear what’s written here that he is in suffering and yearning and he’s also strengthening in this yearning?

R. The farthest he feels he is,the more it works to increase his passion, his yearning.

33. S. (54:44) What is the sentence he seemingly sees and hears the Shechina suffers as he does?

R. Yes, this is called the sorrow of the Shechina, Divinity.

S. What is that?

R. The sorrow of the Shechina is that the Creator suffers because man receives all the means from him to get closer and he does not.

34. S. (55:16) We connect with our Ten friends many times a day in thoughts and feelings. What should we use to make these connections most effective? What should the intention be?

R. Only in order to aim ourselves at the Creator so that we come to the same wavelength just as he relates to us we want to relate to Him so that we enter the same conduit of channel of connection between us. Accordingly we will get closer and closer, and so when we come to the time of connecting let’s put it like that, that’s what we want to determine that we all connect together and aim ourselves towards connection between us and then towards the Creator and exactly according to the same quality by which the Creator relates to us.

35. S. (56:48) What does it mean here that he says that the Creator should testify upon him?

R. This testimony means that it’s like a fact I don’t know how to explain, it’s like proof let’s say it could be.

36. S. (57:32) From the Ten what does it mean to pretend to love?

R. It’s our will to receive to transformit in order to bestow. Hey is Malchut the will to receive, Vav is Zeir Anpin, the intention to bestow, connecting both of them means to bring the Hey back to the Vav.

37. S. (58:18) In excerpt 8 it’s written that a person doesn’t descend and doesn’t fall, from afflictions, our sufferings, and a strong connection does not crumble. What is this danger of crumbling, or falling?

R. I don’t know how you heard the translation but a person should always maintain his line that’s connected to the Creator and keep strengthening it from connection with the friends then he won’t fall, it has nothing more by which to hold on to the line that connects him to the Creator accept connections with the friends.

S. Is there a danger as I understand it that the Creator tries to bring us to afflictions of the Shechina and then from these suffering a person can fall as such a thing exists?

R. No there is none

38. S. (59:48) What is the one who knows the mystery that he shall testify upon him that he shall not fall?

R. That the Creator already knows that the person will go further and further in the straight path and when is that when he carries out everything that is written before that in that quote.

39. S. (01:00:27) How do we practically attain a subjugation and in bowing to the ten, how do we attain the subjugation in the Ten?

R. I can’t really say it so simply, it’s again the same words we have to always work with the ten, it takes a long time until a person even hears and connect to it and starts working on it and feels where his place in the yen, when his see if he keeps coming back to and tightens it it takes a long time.

40. S. (01:01:22) That they cannot be adhered to one and the Creator does not dwell upon them God forbid and have a foriegn creator what does that mean?

R. Their will to receive that starts overcoming them and as if governing them.

41. S. (01:01:02) The Creator presents himself to the friend in the ten and studies with him and he appears before him all of this is a game of the Creator so how do we play back with the Creator? What are the rules of the game

R. We have no way to play with the Creator except with connection with the friends that through the connection with the friends that we want to aim towards the Creator that’s our whole game.

42. S. (01:02:24) We didn’t have a lot of questions beforehand. Does that show progress at the materials already in our heart?

R. It doesn’t mean anything. I don’t want to give answers about this for better or for worse, there are such times and that’s it

43. S. (01:02:54) Why in the beginning of the path of a person feels much clear and longing for the Creator and with time this sensation becomes more vague, more blurred. How do we bring it to life again?

R. To grow them and to develop. That’s why the previous longing doesn’t work as before. It’s always the case that we forget from the heart. We have to work on it.

44. S. (01:03:57) From love of the created beings to love of the Creator, how not to be confused between corporral and spiritual love? How not to get confused with psychological love?

R. That’s through connection with the friends, I don’t see any other way. It’s impossible that a person will maintain the right direction himself not to deviate from the path if he’s not connected. Connection with friends is actually the most important. We mustn’t do any more movement unless we first renew the connection with the friends, treat this in the most serious way.

45. S. (01:04:52) When we say that Israel is connected and is united in complete oneness then they should be considered as one. Does that mean oneness with all of our group or only in our Ten?

R. First of all with the Ten. Why do I say the first ten? Because if I say with our group as well that would be confusing for a person won’t know where he is and he will get confused so to make it certain cling to your and adhere to your Ten only, and that will already direct you better towards the goal and then in order to really aim for the goal precisely we’ll have to expand our connection from our ten the rest of the tens.

46. S. (01:05:52) We say that the closer we will get to the quality of the bestwal and love, then we will feel the influence of bestowal upon of the Creator upon us in a clear manner

R. Of course, from ‘me to my beloved and my beloved to me” that is how it happens.

47. S. (01:06:11) In excerpt 7 it’s written being that a person is coming to purify himself and bring him closer and nearer to the Creator than the Shechina dwells upon him, to be in Bnei Baruch is our intention to purify, does a godliness dwell upon us

R. Certainly for sure yes but we still don’t reveal it.

48. S. (01:06:36) What does it mean to pass on the forms of bestowal of the Creator?

R. To pass the forms of bestowal of the Creator means to build a vessel of the bestowal on our part where we can feel his bestowal.

Excerpt 9 (01:07:14) “When one comes to a state..” Twice

49. R. (01:09:59) Meaning if a person goes through a dark state, black darkness, no future nothing shines on him from the present or the future, but he still has to go through it. That means he undergoes that Malchut of the upper one which is black and from that he comes to the Keter of the lower one which is already his shining Keter, and that’s how he advances from darkness to light darkness to light that’s how we go.

Reading excerpt 9 (01:10:42) again

50. R. (01:11:11) Meaning from Malchut of the upper one which is black if he holds on and continues that becomes Keter of the lower one which already shines and that’s his..

Reading continues (01:11:25)

51. S. (01:12:18) The order that the Malchut of the upper one has this sensation of darkness turns into the sensation of Keter of the lower one, do we need to wait or do something additional?

R. What do you mean waiting? By waiting you don’t do anything so why will anything change?

S. On one hand we say that a person in such a state, he has to keep his framework, he has no energy and he has to keep his framework and do the work and dissemination.

R. One should do whatever he’s capable of.

S. Even it says, to do it and gladness.

R. Of course yes.

S. The additional condition is?

R. The additional condition is accepted with joy because it comes from the Creator.

S. In the states usually he can’t feel gladness?

R. Not being able to feel every state in joy is your problem, but you get every state from the Creator in order to advance. You only rise in sanctity and then if you want happy, light, pleasant, easy states that’s your problem. That doesn’t mean you want to advance.

S. I understood in my mind and I heard many times that we need to accept those States and gladness but I practice when I fall I don’t feel such gladness we feel black so what do we do?

R. What to do holding on to whatever you can especially the environment, what do you have last during the descent only holding on to the environment.

S. So my question I understand we need to keep holding on to our framework to maintain it

R. Yes the framework like you said that’s correct, the lesson the routine and everything that we do yes besides the intentions because with the intentions right now we can’t do anything so you just do it still artificially right read speak but without your aiming heart and bit by bit the heart will once again awakens.

52. S. (01:15:09) Once you said in previous lessons there is the black Malchut which is this terrible state in which a person doesn’t stand who or what he is and the awareness disappears and all that remains is one’s observation, is this what we are talking about here or is it a general state?

R. It could be both, it could be in both directions.

53. S. (01:1602) How from this dark black state where you have nothing of your own can the Keter, the pure vessel appear?

R. This is specifically the process from the darkest state comes the most Illuminating state, it is like at night, the darkest night is before the dawn, before the sunrise that is how it is.

S. What does it mean to go through this black state?

R. Nevertheless yearning to see the morning, when I come to the day, the force of bestowal that once again awakens in me.

54. S. (01:17:03) Why does spiritual and corporal development come from two contradicting forces, why does the development have to come from two contradicting forces?

R. How could it be for the created beings anything that’s not made up of two opposing forces, one force which is us, the force of reception and the other force is when we wish to resemble the Creator who is the force of bestowal.

55. S. (01:17:48) Can we say that the Malchut is the desire to receive because he says that he has nothing of itself and then it is called Malchut meaning it accepts the Malchut of Heaven, is it the Malchut the desire to receive?

R. I think I told you this 20 years ago.

S. Yes but I forgot 20 years ago, he says that it has nothing of its own, what does it mean?

R. It cannot arrange anything by itself because it is only the will to receive.

S. So why does he say that you need nothing but to connect to the Heavens?

R. Its correction is for it to be entirely in bestowal.

S. So I need to try to ask for nothing in this world, completely annul myself?

R. Yes, yes this you hear after 20 years.

S. Meaning not to demand for anything in life?

R. Of course, what else do you have to take from this life?

S. But I need to make a living, I need this, I need that.

R. That is enough for you.

S. But not to demand anything?

R. Yes, now you know and you stop receiving.

56. S. (01:19:21) How do you on the one hand agree that the state that one’s in like the state of black and on the other hand demand change?

R. That I ask for change for the good in order to bestow, not for myself.

S. But I also want to agree with the state itself?

R. I agree with the state I receive but I disagree with the state where I cannot bestow outside of me, so one does not exclude the other, it’s a good question you asked, write it down so it will be somewhere there for you, both the question and the answer.

57. S. (01:20:07) The darkness, is it because bestowal has no taste and the joy is because you discover the truth of the situation, the state that you are in?

R. Darkness is a result of lack of Hassadim because you don’t want to bestow.

S. And joy comes as a result of discovering it?

R. Yes.

58. S. (01:20:38) In this stage the option we have is to serve friends with joy and do not care what the outcome is, it’s just work in order to bestow joy to the friends?

59. S. (01:23:31) Usually we think there is something wrong with the person if he is happy when something good happens and happy when something bad happens, what is the difference here?

R. We measure when we are close to the Creator according to equivalence of form or not, that is our entire work according to your words it doesn’t even matter where I’m at, it is important for me where I’m at because the Creator wants me to be as close to Him as possible, to return all the children of Israel to the Lord your God.

60. S. (01:24:21) In a state of single or double concealment it is always possible to establish this kind of attitude, to “I for my beloved one”?

R. Of course double concealment not so much but regular concealment of course I should always be aimed at “I to my beloved” and to reach the essence of the state of “my beloved to me” where I feel the reaction of the Creator to me.

S. Is there a connection between the man’s pleasure and the Creator’s pleasure?

R. I cannot say, how can I feel how the Creator enjoys and derives pleasure from me, I can see only inside of my own pleasure in order to bestow to him.

S. Is there a need to somehow enjoy the state of Achoraim, posterior?

R. I can enjoy in every state but in joy in general that I’m aimed at the purpose of creation.

62. S. (01:26:38) How to try to remember that He is the good that does only good at all times that seems to be hard to remember when we go through these states?

R. What can you do, write it before you wherever you are, so that you see it, every time the Creator is the good that does good.

63. S. (01:27:38) It seems in the excerpt like man is directly talking to the Creator where is the ten here?

R. I did not get the question.

S. It seems from the excerpt as though the person is talking directly to the Creator, and I agree the Creator sending me states, where is the ten here?

R. The ten is with me together everything that I assume and I send to the Creator is through the connection with the ten.

S. It needs to be in thought?

R. Yes, in thought.

64. S. (01:28:40) What should one hold onto where one sees no light at the end of the tunnel and there’s only threats and things that conceal?

R. Close your eyes and hold on to the ten that is what I can say.
