Part 1 Living in a World of Intentions

1. Rav’s Introduction: We see as it is written that everything is clarified through the intention. That all that we have to clarify is only the intention, who are we aiming for, what is it exactly that we want, what do we want to be the result of our thoughts so that indeed in the spiritual world that are no physical actions, there is no issue of all kinds of garments and actions that we can perform but the fact that we are in the world of physical actions it is only in order for us to enter through that also into the world of spiritual actions, virtual actions are where our thinking will operate over it, not the physical actions itself.

This is how we ourselves are in a state where we depict our world as the world of actions but in truth when we grow we start to see how much we are shifting to deeds in the thoughts, in the intention, in the desire. This is why all of our work is as much as possible to pay attention to our intentions; what do I aim for, what do I like to come out, through which actions of mine do I want to achieve what I want so that these actions will also be as much as possible with the desire, with the intention and not through some corporeal deed and this is how we will advance. Let’s see what Rabash writes about it.

Reading 7. Twice (02:24 – 04:17)

2. R. This means that our whole correction is only to reach the correct intention.

Reading on (04:23 – 04:49)

3. R. Which is naturally what exists in us.

Reading on (04:52 – 04:59)

4. R. To aim on that and to act only for that purpose, and check if I am capable yet or not, to what extent to make the right preparation for it but only to be as certain as possible that whatever I am doing, I am not doing it for my own sake but only for the sake of the Creator, to give him contentment. What is contentment for the Creator, how can we give contentment to the Creator? Let’s say a smart child who knows how to do for his mother this and that so the mother would be happy with him. How can the Creator be happy with us? When we connect together. He broke as he gave us the initial conditions from which we can give him contentment by reconnecting and there are no other actions, none. Therefore we have nothing else to search for what to do, the whole world is before us and it is ready for us to perform actions in order to make the Creator happy.

5. S. (06:07) In order to be certain I am not doing it for myself rather that I am doing it for the Creator, how can I make this switch so I can feel the Creator and do it for him?

R. Connect as much as possible come closer to the friends as much as possible in the ten and the when you see that you are capable or not capable of this that you have a certain boundary on this then you have to realize that it is the Creator who is doing it to you since there is none else besides him so you’ll have to ask him that he can solve this boundary so you would be able to connect with the friends even more tightly.

Because by this specifically and only through that you can give him contentment. No other actions in the end does give the Creator any pleasure, it does not make him happy but only the act of connection between people. This is why we are aiming in the last recent month, only on this in our study. Only on, love your friend as yourself as much as we seemingly already have been through this, we read about it and we do that until we reach that in practise.

We have to be in that and then out of the practise when we will start to feel that we are truly coming closer, completely actually to each other, that the connection between us becomes a certain system of correct communication between us, when we starts to live between us in a mechanism that is like some kind of assistant like a single organism then when we start in that to carry out certain actions like in a single organism single body then we see how this body starts to work as one, and this work we will start to feel the Creator. This is what is called; you have made me. This is our work all in all, everything is before us, everything is only in that we will come closer, so much so that you start to work with each other and out of this work we will start to discover the result of it which is the Creator. This is how we will discover him.

S. (08:58) In this work there is a principle gap between the way I feel myself or the Creator and the friends?

R. In this work I feel the friends and our connection which is about to be revealed which will be called The Creator, Boreh, come and see, you have made me.

S. This feeling of connection is something that should replace my own feeling, the feeling of the self? Right now they are competing.

R. It should be in parallel or the time so that you will see your participation in the friends in order to build this mechanism, this general mechanism of yours which is called Creator. This is why the Creator is called Boreh, come and see, that we build him together and in that we discover how much we are intertwined, combined and heading to each other and we also lose our own personality, our individual personality instead we are only thinking about how much we are adding to the mechanism that is being established between us and this is called the Creator.

6. S. (10:49) How to reach the state where we can already choose the intention, that now we feel the intention to bestow in the ten. What are the signs showing that it is here this intention to bestow?

R. That sign that we are coming closer to building a single system is in that we see how much we are not capable of it. Those discernments that we are not capable are actually showing us where we need to add in our work where a certain degree of connection between us is still missing. Therefore we have to take into account all of the discernments that are for and against and in the mechanism that will be revealed we will start to feel the general common force in there which is the Creator. We will start to feel ourselves in that as Adam, as the system of Adam HaRishon. This is what is ahead of us and not far away. We just have to aim our hearts in the connection between us and we have to rise to the state of a single system as one man in one heart.

S. The agreement itself that we accept this from the Creator is that also a part of it?

R. Yes everything we receive, we receive it from the Creator. Everything that we think we receive it only from him. All the thoughts and every desire everything we get it from him, besides a single discernment that in that moment we have two seemingly at of our own. It is like when we are preparing for a child all kinds of things and we leave for him just to put a certain block into a specific place. This is how we do it in our world. Of course these things are always developing and they become more and more complicated.

Soon we will shift to a state where it will not be simple to connect and reach a certain corrected state but instead it will be a state which includes two actions; to put one block and then to put the second block and then to reach the correct state and more and more like that. It is not a matter of building blocks but it is about the changes in the intentions, that we have to learn from that also the character and the manner of the Creator, why  he is doing this to us and why is he bringing us into such gradual actions, this is the second phase.

S. So we should justify the Creator in that?

R. Yes, it is clear that first I have to see that I am connected with the Creator and he is placing all of these things before me and I am in his hands as clay in the hands of the sculptor and I agree with it and I want this and I nullify myself to that and I only think about a single thing; what should I and how should I nullify in order to perform the correct action so by that I resemble the Creator.

7. S. (15:10) What is the difference between me wanting to give pleasure to the Creator through the friends and me wanting that they friends will give contentment or that we all want to give a pleasure to the Creator, what’s the difference?

R. I cannot really tell you, you can turn it all the time, this way or that way. Sometimes I cannot directly aim towards the Creator so I intend for the friends. Sometimes I can intend for the Creator directly and sometimes I can intend for the Creator through the friends, that are many manners in that. You will see that according to your own experience.

8. S. (16:04) Rabash is writing that in each single action we have to put an intention and the intention in the actions to bring the Creator contentment. You said that they Creator is happy when we connect as much as possible, so is this the action or the intention? Is the intention that we strive for the connection in the ten?

R. Yes. I don’t think that we need yet to precisely scrutinise what is an intention, what is an action, what is the deed, this way, that way. We have to reach a state where as much as possible all of us together are intending towards an action of connection. Between in our connection for sure we are giving contentment to the Creator. If we will only think about giving contentment to the Creator I don’t think we will be successful because we have no feeling in that but rather we through our connection are giving contentment to the Creator. Then already we tie our deed, giving contentment to the Creator, and this is more practical.

9. S. (17:40) In the beginning you said that we are in the world of actions through which we need to go to spiritual actions. So what are spiritual actions? Second question is if we reach the degree of righteous we’re called after its end, what does that mean?

R. Never ask two questions. I already forgot the first and the second question. This is not how you do it if you truly, seriously want to scrutinise something.

S. So what does it mean to enter spiritual actions?

R. To enter spiritual action is to search and carry out actions of connection so that through that you give that Creator the opportunity to fill this connection.

10. S. (18:59) Ascribing everything to there is None Else Besides Him and all the time to go back to the ever-increasing connection that is clear more or less, but what about general states that we feel during daily life? Very strong pressure that you really feel that it is from above and the person does not know how to act.

R. The percent does not understand the connection between what he feels each and every day, all kinds of pressures and the purpose of creation. He still doesn’t feel that. He cannot see that there is None Else Besides Him, that the Creator does this and does that and he cannot relate these things to a single source. So we need to think about it more and more. How much each and everything that I feel in my life, and it could be a thousand different kinds of influences on me, I feel them all in all from a single source, that there is None Else Besides Him and to this single source I eventually have to tie myself.

S. I should know how to respond in certain states but I really don’t. So I am torn, how to act properly?

R. The fact is that every moment I tie myself to that single source, the upper one, the one unique and unified, that there is None Else Besides Him and He is good and doing good. If I go over all of these discernments, one unique and unified, good and doing good, there is None Else Besides Him, then by this I actually organize myself correctly towards the upper force. But I need to arrange myself in such a correct manner, that it is not that I just throw away everything and the most important is just to adhere to something, some upper one that is operating me. Rather in my qualities, in my intentions, in my thoughts and desires, in everything possible I want to be at adhered to this single source.

11. S. (21:32) There is an action which is to build an intention in order to bestow and become a righteous, and there is an action of justifying the Creator that makes you righteous. What is the connection between these two actions?

R. I think that it is almost the same thing. I need to arrange within me the intentions to bestow to the Creator, that is one thing and the other thing is that I have to be in giving to the Creator, it’s actually the same thing, so try to link them together.

12. S. (23:19) When I imagine the connection with the ten I built an intention so that it will be for the Creator. Later it’s gone when I am connected to the ten.

R. That’s not normal. You have to feel throughout the entire path that you are connected to the ten because otherwise it is not a deed that ends correctly.

13. S. (23:57) You said previously that we get everything from the Creator, our thoughts and desires, everything except for one discernment that we have to add on our own. What is that discernment?

R. The direction toward Him, nothing besides that. To unite all of the influences that we receive in all kinds of different forms from all kinds of different directions, and to aim all of them to a single source who is the Creator.

S. In this game as you said we put building blocks for this child. We organise everything except for His block. What is that?

R. That I tie it all to the Creator, that I tie everything to the Creator.

S. And this connection this action is it in our thought, our emotion? Where does that take me, what’s next?

R. To adhesion. Even if a sharp sword is laying on his throat one should not despair from mercy. Unite everything and link it to the Creator.

14. S. (25:20) How should we prepare ourselves in order to truly present the mutual connection with the intention in the ten?

R. We are talking about it all the time, the intention in the ten that it would be one. You should be talking about it between you more and more, about all of these excerpts that we are reading. And this way bit by bit you will start to feel each other and come closer to each other in a way that you will feel yourselves as a one man with one heart. And then you will have a single intention towards the Creator. It is only about the exercises, there is nothing more than that.

15. S. (26:33) I assume that an intention that is truly heard by the Creator is like a fusion of the mind and the heart. So where does the intention originate, where is it triggerd from the mind or from the heart?

R. It is in the brain but we have to activate the heart, and with the help of the mind we need to scrutinise the intention of our heart, what is the correct one the true internal intention.

16. S. (27:22) I noticed that I have a permanent intention to give contentment but then I see that my actions are for myself. Should I work with shame and regret?

R. No, you just need to see it and for the time being you are in intentions for reception. However what you are scrutinising is how nevertheless you can come closer to in order to bestow, and it’s on the way. From Lo Lishma to Lishma, that is what it is called. Keep going and you will succeed.

17. S. (28:14) To continue that you said that we should perform as much actions of connection as possible, what conditions should take part in order to make an action an action of connection?

R. The intention, the action itself does not mean anything, the most important is the intention, what do we want to get through the action? That through the action we want to reach connection and that it is an act of connection. And it could be that by that you are actually tearing apart all the connections that you had before, but if it is in order to reach connection then it is an act of connection. Everything is measured according to the intention.

S. Is resistance or rejection a sign of a coming action of connection?

R. Not necessarily. It could be that our ego is pulling us into all kinds of sweet actions and states.

18. S. (29:47) What does it mean to give contentment to the Creator?

R. To give contentment to the Creator means that you are operating in order to connect people who are far away because of the ego in them. That you are helping them to connect and bringing them to the Creator. You ask of the Creator that He will connect them. You cannot do anything with the Creator because what would you give Him, meaning the Creator has no deficiency. His whole deficiency is in the created beings, that they are broken and He wants to see them connected. This is why this is all of our work and there is nothing else to do in the world.

19. S. (31:00) When I see the friends as righteous I am happy, the moment I see that I myself am righteous I immediately feel shame. The question is should I go through this or should I….?

R. Just keep working with all of these states and bit by bit it will become clear. I cannot get into this and start scrutinising it instead of you. But you have to go through all of these states, yes.

20. S. (31:41) The action of annulment in the ten, is this an action of justification?

R. I do not know if it is justification or not, why should I scrutinise what is justification? Annulment before the ten is, as Rabash writes in his social articles, it is something that is necessary.

21. S. (32:10) We learn that the greatest Kabbalists did not like being praised because this can corrupt and bring them out from the right intentions. Today in the preparation of the lesson I heard that our friend praised you and it didn’t seem that you liked that. Can you say a few words about that?

R. I do not want to respond to this but indeed I do not like hearing such things as you can see because it’s not suitable. I know better who I am and therefore I do not want to hear these high words about myself.

22. S. (33:05) In the excerpt it says that the intention is when a person wants to give contentment to the Creator. From what I understand the Creator gives me the desire upon which I have no control and automatically I start yearning in order to realise this desire. So when an intention is correct, how can I start building that intention?

R. From the beginning, from the get-go I need to start to take care of the intention, and later on to add to the intention the deed.

S. Meaning before I start realising the action, right? So the question is previously we learned that we have to build the intention in order to bestow on the intention to receive. It turns out that I have to discover that I am in in order to bestow.

R. Incorrect. You don’t need to invent so many things, why are you so clever? You’re not building buildings here. You have something before you and this is what you have to arrange, that’s it. To arrange meaning what do I intend for right now, practically with this action and I don’t think about why didn’t I receive before this and this and that so I could build upon it this and this and that, no. Simply.

23. S. (35:14) What is this contentment, contentment of the Creator? What is this action?

R. Contentment for the Creator it is as we can imagine contentment to the mother. That the child is doing good things and by this he makes the mother happy. As much as he makes the mother happy by existing, as much as he makes the mother happy when he himself deliberately wants to cause her contentment. What difference is there? So we want to reach a state where the Creator will feel that we are doing it for Him.

S. How can the Creator feel? What is this contentment with the Creator? How can we work with this?

R. This we will feel later on. The Creator feels everything that is in us, all in all we exist in Him. And this is how we will feel soon, what He feels.

24. S. (36:50) I also wanted to ask about this. How can I perform an action with the intention that the whole concern should be about giving contentment to the Creator? I woke up this morning and in the preparation if I don’t see all the friends I automatically start calling them. How can I be in the right intention here?

R. This is why we even before the lessons start connecting between us and aiming ourselves toward connection between us. As it is written from the love of people to the love of the Creator, that’s it. Try to aim yourself like this to the Creator. You cannot do it if you first do not intend for connection with the friends.

25. S. (37:58) What comes first the desire or the thought?

R. It depends on which state. In truth the desire is the foundation, the basis of everything. But as much as we are able to discern it, what comes first, what comes later, that depends on a person’s state.

S. Can we say that the desire is clothed in the thought and the scrutiny that we perform over the desire.

R. Yes and no. Sometimes we feel a desire without any thoughts, sometimes the thought is within a thought and the desire is hidden behind it.

S. So the scrutiny is in the thought, the scrutiny of the intention is in the thought?

R. The scrutiny is in the thought. It’s also written, everything should be clarified by the thought.

S. So how can we make a scrutiny over a desire we don’t feel?

R. So then you cannot scrutinise it if you don’t feel it. But rather there is a feeling and above the feeling there is a thought and in that thought you scrutinise a desire.

S. So what connects the thought and the desire is the feeling?

R. Yes. If not for the feeling you would not even exist or be in scrutinies. Well whatever the mind doesn’t do, time does. We need to be in that a bit more and then bit by bit it will become clear.

26. S. (40:00) You answered a friend that when a person sees that people are far away from the Creator because of their ego then a person wants to connect them with the Creator. What happens before they connect? The change occurs in their intention or in my intention?

R. This is something you cannot yet understand but think about it, and bit by bit it will be clarified.

27. S. (40:34) How can I know if I am in the right intention, is there a way?

R. Only through the connection to the environment can you scrutinise yourself, discern if you’re okay or not okay, what direction, do you have a diversion? But alone you cannot, you have to enter a system and by that you can see what direction you’re diverting to. If you are balanced with the system than from this balance you can see that you are aimed at the Creator. This is basically the direction. That’s how a person calibrates himself, aims himself to the right intention, with the balance in the ten and from this balance to the Creator.

28. S. (41:55) In relation to that, the contentment to the Creator is something that has to come before the action of connection? Because there are states when we sit in the lesson and I feel that I have to connect or….?

R. Contentment to the Creator is the intention, connection is the action. Meaning with an action that you want to connect in order to give contentment to the Creator, this is the just action. If you want to give contentment to the Creator and that’s why you connect than the intention is also correct, practical. And then you should decide how you connect but the main thing is to have a connection for bestowing contentment to the Creator.

S. But right now when I don’t feel it means to give contentment to the Creator, is it okay if we’re focusing on the connection itself?

R. But what for, there should be a goal. There has to be a purpose, why are you connecting? Let’s say two small brothers, they descide we won’t fight, on the contrary we will play nicely in order to give contentment to mother. So it is clear what they do and what the result should be. And then they should feel in their effort the same result that they beget in the mother, how happy the mother is because of them. So her feeling of happiness as a result of their effort is called the revelation of the Creator.

S. But I feel that when we read excerpts it awakens us toward connection, and you also tell us about the habit, that we have to think about the Creator like you described it now, like a mother. But I do not feel that.

R. Try, try. Focus on that, perform a few actions and you will see that these things can be organised in a way that they can be aimed at the Creator.

29. S. (44:28) What is balance in the connection with the ten?

R. Balance with the ten is when I with all of my strength cause a connection between them, in order for this connection, this point of connection to be aimed at the Creator. Where it will be as a preparation to reveal the Creator in order to give Him contentment. So that in this contentment I now want to give the friends, I prepare a place to give contentment to the Creator.

S. Between what and what is the balance?

R. That instead of pushing them away I’m bringing them closer, and instead of being indifferent to them I want to bind them, I want to connect them together. I want our embrace to be suitable for the reception of the Creator. This is called to receive the face of the Shechina and that’s what I mean, that’s what I intend for. And then I feel how my heart starts being aimed at the revelation of the Creator.

S. Can we say that our attitude to the Creator that we want to balance it with His attitude towards us? Is this the right direction?

R. Yes, but we can’t measure and feel the Creator’s attitude to us. We have to make all of the actions ourselves and then we’ll feel, according to our actions we’ll feel His attitude towards us. We can’t discover the Creator before we discover the place for His revelation.

Reading Excerpt 8. Twice (46:45)

30. S. (50:47) It is written that the person does not know what happens in the heart of the friend. How can I trust the friend, what kind of confidence do I have with the friend?

R. You don’t need to trust the friend you need to trust the Creator. The friend for you is like you. You connect with the him in order to give contentment to the Creator. As a result of the connection with the friend you cause contentment to the Creator.

31. S. (51:39) It is written that the concealed things belong to the Lord our God. Where does our effort end in the intention and where does our work begin? What is He establishes the intention?

R. I do not understand your question. Our work is always in the intention and this intention is what we always want to connect, the desire itself does not matter to me what’s important is the intention over the desire that the intention will always grow in order to bestow.

S. This comes from our side if we would like to be so we would like it to be so, but the Creator determines that it will be in order to bestow, it’s not in our hands right? We can only want.

R. We want we demand to have the intention in order to bestow.

S. What does it depend that the Creator will answer us and that we will get it?

R. To the extent you ask. I know that my intentions for the meantime are in order to receive but I am asking Him to correct me, what is it turn to Him. The correction of the intentions that’s what we need from the Creator.

32. S. (53:11) It is written that the person might even deceive himself that he’s doing it for the Creator but in fact he’s doing it for himself. Is it within a person’s ability to check his intentions?

R. No, the person has no way to scrutinize if he’s right, wrong, what’s true, what’s false, nothing. Only when he comes closer to the Creator, by that he can somehow see what state he’s in and never can he be certain that without this examination he can say anything about his present state. That’s how our life is, we’re all under control of the Creator.

33. S. (54:10) What are the stages for us to reach that point where we should give contentment to the Creator?

R. The stages when we connect between us we see we can’t we turn to the Creator and we’re asking Him to connect us and this address this request from the Creator to connect us gives Him contentment. It’s like small children coming to their mother saying they want to play between themselves in a nice way but they can’t they always start arguing and they’re asking her to show them how to play nicely, that’s what the Creator expects from us, our address, then He helps us, gives the intention in order to bestow.

34. S. (55:35) So we need to reach a state in which we will be able to feel?

R. Yes and even more than that.

35. S. (55:56) The concealed things belong to the Lord our God. Does it mean that if I truly try to connect with the Creator then my intention will always be correct? Meaning the intention and adhesion.

R. Of course how else? If you are connected to the Creator all of your intentions are aimed at bestowing, there cannot be in any other way, against your desire you can’t help it to do everything in order to bestow.

36. S. (56:42) The example you used to give us all the time with Rabash that you were sorting out the coffee beans and he told you to do it, why you are doing it, what precisely do you want to achieve by it. Is this a good example for us scrutinizing the intention with each action that we do?

R. Yes, yes.

S. To continue about not deceiving yourself. If the person comes down to scrutinizing his thought, all of his actions, he still doesn’t have the scrutinizes, he can’t know like in the excerpt we read so maybe he is lying to himself he still cannot know.

R. He still cannot know because there is no confidence yet.

37. S. (57:35) When we link everything to the Creator how do we connect the positive and negative states into one?

R. When we come closer to the Creator both positive and negative states themselves connect to one source.

38. S. (58:07) From whom does the Creator receive contentment? From me when I organize the connection in the ten or from the ten which is connected?

R. From both I don’t understand why it should be either.

39. S. (58:35) We also engage all the time in connection. What do we add to this work? How do we add to this work that the awareness that this makes the Creator happy?

R. By our intention to give contentment to the Creator we do cause Him contentment because the Creator feels the intentions the desires are inside us, He Himself awakens them, the intentions is what He feels because the intentions come from us.

40. S. (59:20) Do we build the Creator the moment we think about Him, out of the intention to ask of Him to combine us to merge us with these qualities?

R. Yes.

41. S. (59:37) How to prevent ourselves from performing actions with bad intentions that are hiding inside of actions that on the outside seem as good?

R. We should always take care of that straighten it.

42. S. (59:57) What should we do in order to reach the right prayer to bring us to the right intention?

R. I don’t know how to answer your questions today because they don’t require answers, these questions. Repeat the question.

S. What should we do in order to reach the right prayer to bring us to the right intention?

R. Pray correctly in order to give the right intention.

43. S. (01:00.40) Is the building of the right intention and opening up of the heart, is that the same thing?

R. I suppose it is. There are subtleties here and changes but later it will be scrutinized.

44. S. (01:01:09) Are the intentions of the friends the Creator’s actions?

R. Yes I should see it as the Creator’s bestowal upon me.

45. S. (01:01:23) How do we reach in the ten a state where our concern will be to delight the Creator?

R. We have to talk a lot about it and to pray, and to ask, and to think, and then will start feeling how we will come close to give contentment, it’s not thinking about it.

46. S. (01:02:00) If I pray for a friend and I try to aim to Him to give Him contentment does it become two prayers?

R. You can have many prayers it doesn’t matter, bit by bit later I’ll see that I can bring them down to one prayer.

47. S. (01:02:24) Can we correct the intention of an action that occurred already but before it reached its end?

R. What for, in order to correct something on the path? I can do anything, my prayer can really affect the whole process.

48. S. (01:02:59) We aim ourselves to bring contentment to the Creator and we enjoy the pleasure and He bestows back to us. How to correctly work with this pleasure? How to receive it correctly?

R. Enjoy it in order to give contentment to the Creator, the pleasure we get from the Creator should be accepted in the vessel of the reflected light, and within this vessel His intention to me and my intention to Him connect together.

49. S. (01:03:37) If the actions of the friend in the ten do not appear as directed towards connection should we do anything about it or is it enough to just assume that everyone in the ten are working out of the intention of connection?

R. I don’t need to perform criticism if we work in a ten, I don’t need to criticize the friends because each one does it from his state and I can’t clothe in anyone and say that he should work like me, on the contrary, rather I leave it for everyone to do something. In the general force the Creator He will organize ourselves, He will organize us so that we’ll advance in mutual completion and by that we’ll see how much each and every one even if he performs actions that are opposite of the other, but basically it completes each other.

50. S. (01:04:53) When does the Creator reveal to us the truthfulness of our intentions so that we can correct them?

R. Whenever we organize our intentions that we connect an order to connect to give Him contentment.

51. S. (01:09:16) When I connect with the friends in order to give contentment to the Creator should I expect some result out of this connection or should the result be that I am simply in adhesion with the Creator?

R. The result should be that you will feel that you have an ability to bestow to the Creator. Of course you should understand that it’s only possible by you connecting to the friends. And to the extent that you bestow to them, to be in connection and in direction to the Creator, by that you give Him contentment.

S. When I do it and I connect with the intention to give contentment to the Creator in the end I see that the intention to receive for myself always participates in that, and this brings me to a lack, a suffering. Is that a correct state?

R. This too is correct. You cannot have it without revealing the deficiencies when later you are asking for corrections for them. Of course.

52. S. (01:10:58) The intention, is this what we can reach and what we can attain or can we only yearn for it?

R. Intention is basically all we need. We need to be aimed to always give contentment to the Creator and from that we’re doing all of our actions. The connections between us, degrees, ascents, it doesn’t matter what, all I want is to do it in order to give contentment to the Creator. Just as He to begin with wants to give contentment to the creatures. Then it turns out that to the extent that I want and think to give Him contentment I forget about myself. It doesn’t matter to me who I am, what I am, where I am or what I’ll have, the main thing is for Him. That’s how we should see our development. Then we get rid of our will to receive and we only move on the will to bestow.

53. S. (01:12:27) It is written here in such a way that it is possible to use what is written ultimately with respect to me but also with respect to the friend. And so one who shifted to the right line, he sees the lowliness. Is this a normal way to see that the lowliness also in a friend?

R. We go through all kinds of states and it’s not so important for us where exactly we are. The main thing is not to stop. For every time to try to be closer between us to the Creator, that’s our right intention and that’s the right direction. And what happens on the way, the Creator brings us through all kinds of such states.

54. S. (01:13:29) In what does the connection between us build the intention? What is the connection for? I can sit on the side and unite the ten with the Creator.

R. I don’t understand how you’ll do that.

S. With the feeling that I have ten friends opposite me and I myself unite every action, everything to the Creator. Let’s say I eat something, I unite it, dedicate it to the Creator. So what is this connection that it builds the intention?

R. The connection builds the intention and the intention builds connection, these things add to each other, they are connected to each other. We’re talking about the essence of connection.

S. But a part of the ten..what do I establish myself such that I turn to the Creator, so that I am in the ten? Or is it the ten that turns to the Creator?

R. I see that you’re just confused, keep on going, ask later.

55. S. (01:14:44) If I love the friend and the friend loves me in return is this a necessary condition in order to be in the right intention?

R. It’s a necessary condition to advance towards the Creator.

56. S. (01:15:05) Until now when we put the emphasis on the intention to bestow contentment to the Creator many times the intention was to perform a certain external action. Let’s say we meet in a meeting of the ten, mostly it’s about the meetings between us, with the purpose of reaching an inner connection, or the intention of reaching an inner connection. Now what was added here is not only the inner intention to reach an inner connection but also to bestow contentment to the Creator. Can you please arrange the relation between the action that we’re meeting for a meal, or a meeting versus the inner action of connection that we have to do relative to the intention to give contentment to the Creator?

R. That’s very nice. These questions actually you should scrutinize, you should scrutinize them.

57. S. (01:16:06) These words when a person is aimed to the right line and he sees his loneliness, is this a true state when a person sees his own loneliness? It says when a person sees himself that he’s so lowly, as a single organ and he’s not willing to work for the body, is that the correct state?

R. The true state, we can’t say what it is. The true state is constantly changing, constantly, according to the quality of a person. So we can’t say about a certain state that it is the true state. Relative to what? We can’t measure relative to the Creator the complete bestowal, relative to another person complete reception, and so along the way we are constantly between the two.

58. S. (01:17:29) Why does it say that he does things for the sake of heaven but he does not look at the intention? Why if it’s for the sake of the Creator it doesn’t have an intention in it?

R. No, no, that’s his state. He wants to do for the sake of heaven, but the intention is seemingly not important to him, he’s in the middle.

59. S. (01:18:03) Why is it that when I connect with the Creator the 10 disappears from me? It just goes to the background somehow.

R. It’s correct because you are valuing the Creator, the result and not the Kli, the ten. You forget that in order to reach the Creator, to feel Him it’s only possible only in the vessel of a ten. That’s what’s happening to us.
