Part 1:

The ways of the Lord are Straight – Selected Excerpts from the Sources. #5

1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:29) Yes we already feel pretty much on ourselves that we consist of our ego, of our evil inclination but it is impossible to reveal in a person that more evil inclination is revealed to him in a way that as he lives in this world like everyone else, and he is a little bit of an egoist like everyone else hardly more than others. How can all the evil in him be revealed to him, because only out of the evil can he build the good, as it is written and it became the opposite, so that the upper light will come to him and out of this evil he will make for himself the good force. Therefore we need to see ourselves how we are more and more willing to reveal the evil and this evil which is revealed will eventually become good. The evil that should be revealed between us is not in each and every one because that is personal evil, it is not big. It is a person who is concerned with food sex, money, power, and knowledge personally, and there is nothing special about it. The real evil is revealed in the relationship between us. It is a social evil to the extent that a person acquires understanding and feeling of what he has toward others and out of this he also learns what he has towards the Creator. And in this way he grows in his recognition of evil and resists it, this is his work, and the evil becomes good. Good to others and good to the Creator, from the love of people to the love of the Creator and this is how we grow. Therefore with that small evil a little bit of evil that we have personally as we are like animals, but out of the evil that we reveal toward others and we can turn it into good, we elevate ourselves to the level of man, Adam. Because we are already taking others into consideration, we want to be in good connection with them despite against our ego. This is a new phase that we are in, that we are in accents and descents according to these new discernments of how close I am to others how far I am from others, I can see it and sometimes I only see it and reveal the evil and me as opposed to the group and here begins the spiritual work. It is still pre spiritual, it is still not really spiritual work, but it is already preparation for spirituality which is revealed only in the relations between us. And this is basically where we need to see how the ways of the Creator are straight, how he advances us from revealing the personal ego in each of us towards ourselves and we learn how each of us is a little animal, a little beast concerned only with itself. The next degree is how and what small egoists we are, and then we grow bigger and bigger and bigger when the ego is revealed in us towards others. That I am thinking only of myself and not of others whatsoever and I already begin to identify in this, what it means to be in self-love and how to emerge from self-love to the love of others. This is already the beginning of the real spiritual work, meaning acquiring vessels of bestowal. We talked about it in the previous excerpt too and out of this we come to the inversion to invert our will to receive, from in order to receive for ourselves to gradually to some extent, to an order to bestow and in order to bestow upon others, upon the friends. And out of our relation towards others we build out of these relationships, these thoughts and desires and intentions towards others, when we want to do good to the Friends. By this we build on us a canopy of Peace, a cover and by this we build a home. A home is mainly the thatch or canopy from above which covers all of us and in this way we connect and cover. This is our main work now, and this home or this cover or this roof that we are building over our heads through our connections, this becomes a new vessel, a spiritual vessel in which we reveal the Creator, and this is how we will advance. All of these operations come to us through opposite operations in opposites and contradictions when we discover how deficient we are, and how much we can cover ourselves through the joint covering, where each one seemingly holds the umbrella over the other person and in this way we advance. And in this, is our choice, to what extent I can sacrifice myself, participate, sacrifice my forces, my desires, my intentions, my predilections so that my friends will be covered under this canopy of Peace. Under our completeness when we are concerned that nowhere in the cover above us will there be any hole, but the cover will be complete, absolutely. There are many excerpts about this covering with one blanket or a cover above us building a canopy of peace and others. It’s the building of the temple and all of it is about how we are one Under One Roof, how all of us are concerned for everyone within the group and in the group’s, connect and everyone comes under this canopy of peace. That the complete vessel is revealed and on top of it, the cover is revealed, the complete cover. That’s the way it is. Let’s continue according to the text and please read.

Excerpt #4 (09:53) “One can exit self-love by himself but only…”

2. R. (10:34) In other words the vessel that is revealed that is built we cannot build it ourselves; it should be clear. All that we can do is come to the necessity for it and to ask for it and pray for it and then the Creator builds this vessel and is revealed in it.

 Reading Continues

3. R. (11:10) Yes everything comes from the bottom of the heart of a person, as much as he already yearns for it and wants this complete structure where he is connected with all the friends. In one vessel and only in this way do they reveal the Creator, none of them alone but there has to be a complete vessel where everyone is connected by agreeing and understanding and inclination and in one effort and then the Creator is revealed.

Reading Continues

4. R. (12:28) In other words here we need to understand the Creator’s work with us. On the one hand he should place before us the goal, on the other hand he needs to show us how this work is not for us, how incapable we are of achieving it. When we face this goal and our despaired and giving up and crying we are unable to move, we don’t know what to do to go forward we wasted most of our lives. We have these images of what’s going to happen to us. Nothing will come out of everything we’ve done; we cannot build our common building where the Creator is revealed and inside of it. This we are powerless to do, we do not understand it, we do not feel the drive and the pressure that we once felt before.

Reading Continues

5. R. (13:56) That precisely at this point where everyone is giving up and there is no chance of achieving anything and we have come to a state where we’ve tried with all of our might and we’ve tried and have exhausted all of the options, so then what, nothing will happen. Here at this point is the scrutiny, some say there is nothing we can do, we still have to continue forward because this is the truth, and others say no. We don’t see any benefit, any success, or any gain so we will go back to our regular life like the rest of the people, we have to go through this point. This is the meaning of what is written that the ‘Ways of the Creator are straight’ the wicked fail in them meaning return, go back and the and the righteous walk in them. And that point is a very critical point, it stands out in a person’s process and there is no one who doesn’t go through it. Sometimes we encounter this point, and we go back, and we come to it again and return again and come back, and now we’re facing a situation where we can, through the connection between us break through this point, this gate to the King’s Garden and enter.

6. S. (15:55) How can we measure our advancement if on one hand we feel some rejection and on the other hand we feel sadness that we can’t come closer to the friends, we can’t perform acts of the bestowal. What’s the result of all these contradicting feelings?

R. Imagine that you’re sitting with the friends at a round table and each of you sees before him like a deck of cards, where you’re playing cards, so you see where you are with what forces and what states and what intentions and so what do you do? Try to see how you can nevertheless connect among you in order to be incorporated with the forces of the friends so that each and every one will have enough power to turn to the Creator. Not with his own powers, that’s not enough for sure but with the forces he accumulates from the friends he will be able to assemble all of them from the others, each one from the others and turn to the Creator to help him connect to the friends. Connecting to the friends is a person’s personal prayer. I really want to be incorporated in them and connected and merge in them and dissolve in them and in this way each and every one does. In the end, out of these personal prayers they all join together because basically everyone has his own prayer, has the same prayer but from himself to others to connect, for the Creator to connect with others. Out of this they eventually come into having one vessel.

7. S. (18:34) What does it mean to assemble the forces from the friends for a prayer? What do I need to do to collect this force so that from it a prayer will emerge?

R. Each of the friends wants to be connected with the other friends as well, and in this reveal the connection with the Creator at the center of everyone. Basically everyone to some extent feels it, and therefore we need to depict to ourselves this state, this action and in this way to advance.

S. You described earlier some picture where we’re sitting at this round table where each one looks at each other and collect from him forces. Now it’s like a classical situation, we’re all here together at around tables and I really want to succeed with this action of incorporating with the friends and collect this force to create a prayer, to break out. But I can’t succeed from this and can’t understand exactly what to do to accumulate this force?

R. You need to try and out of this disposition you will understand what to do here. There is nothing physical to do, it is all internal scrutinies of each one to the extent that he shows himself and sees himself connecting with others and how their desires and intentions connect, and how in the connection between them they turn to the Creator and the Creator organizes everything for them. This is called the Creator ‘will finish for me.’ I cannot and it is good that I cannot because if I am turning to the Creator then he does it, this is the work. Try to be in this permanently for as long as possible, don’t let go of it. I want to be connected with the friends, each of us to some extent and yearns for the correction of the vessel because out of this comes the right request from the Creator and then the Creator answers us and organizes our vessel and is revealed within the vessel. Just so ‘I to my beloved and my beloved to me.’

8. S. (21:39) What will be the best act of bestowal I could do for my friends?

R. To show them how much you yearn for connection with them in order to turn to the Creator together. This is the best, most complete action that you can show to the friends.

9. S. (20:21) It is written if the Creator doesn’t build a home they worked for nothing. We are working here, we are dissolving in the friends like we heard, what is it that he’s building the house?

R. He is building the house, we cannot connect to each other on our own, each of us is like a brick. No one can add it and join it with the other because each of us is made of a different substance and different will to receive and different qualities. Adding one to the other only the Creator can do it, He’s got the upper light that can join all the different desires into one desire. This is the meaning of only the Creator builds the house and we ask Him to. The more we want to connect to one another, out of gathering the bricks or the stones, you will not be able to build a house out of this. You need to have something that connects between each two bricks and for us in our building it is more of a problem. It is not between two stones; it is between a Stony heart and a Stony heart. In other words to begin with we already know our hearts do not let us connect and be in a deep internal connection we cannot. Connecting our hearts to be one man as one heart is not for us, we are incapable to begin with from the nature of creation this is why we turn to the Creator so that He will do it. And then through our efforts and prayer and in request in the effort between us to have a deficiency to turn to Him to build it, By this we come to a state where unless the Creator builds the house all of our labor is in vain, so nothing will help us unless the Creator builds it. Because building this building that we want out of our hearts is building out of pieces that are completely contradictory to one another, we have mutual rejection, and we feel on ourselves. That the more we want to advance the more it throws us out, and the more we want it this throws us even more outside away from each other and why does it happen this way? Because we have to discover that only the Creator can build, only He can build.

S. The Creator is something that connects these stones?

R. Yes the Creator himself becomes the connection and adhesive between us. He is in all the places where the desires to receive that were rejecting one another, there, there is the force of the Creator which creates the connection between them. Then we connect between us and not only connect, but those very forces of rejection that were before, now the Creator is over them and in these forces of rejection become degrees of coarseness and power. Then we truly see that our building has become great, because it contains within it and incorporates two contradictory forces where the good force governs over the evil force and by this the building begins to develop and grow. We feel it within us, in our desire, in our connection and this is how we grow.

S. I just wanted to be more precise, what is this building?

R. The soul of Adam HaRishon, this is the temple. The house of holiness.

10. S. (27:38) There were several friends that are very strong with great motivation not to prevent or avoid as it is written. How is it possible?

R. It is written that ‘The ways of the Creator are Straight’ meaning they work only under one principal toward connection on top of separation. The Creator constantly reveals the separation and we need to understand that it’s like having to build another level, another story in our building in our connection, so it’s written ‘ The ways of the Creator are straight and the righteous will walk in them’ and those who justify the Creator and what is happening to them in every single thing no matter what happens to him in life. He justifies the Creator because everything comes from There Is None Else Besides Him and the wicked fail in them. Because they start calculating why is this like this, why is he doing this to me and they hang their states on other people and they attribute their states to other people, to the teacher and not to the Creator. If they connected everything only to the Creator they would succeed for sure and if they don’t connect explicitly to the Creator then they fall. This is why you are saying many quit. Of course it is written that ‘Many will be disappointed and leave,’ until as it is written ‘I have found one person out of one thousand.’

S. When there are these fluctuations you can see a person is already in that direction. How do you support?

R. We need to support these states, why does the Creator do it? In order to clean us, to cleanse us from all kinds of foreign thoughts so that we nevertheless penetrate deeper into the Creator that ‘There Is None Else Besides Him’ and only he is playing these tricks and giving us these exercises. In this we have to position ourselves like steel, like a rock so that no matter what happens to us we only need no one thing, whatever comes, comes from the Creator and whatever is revealed is only an obstacle over which we have to come to connection. Therefore you have to make such a calculation every single moment as much as each one needs to, only to constantly remain directed towards the goal. There might be great disturbances, personal disturbances, and confusion, it is each time so that every time through them we will direct ourselves again toward the right direction, the purpose of creation and in this way correct ourselves step by step, step by step. There is nothing redundant in our lives, every detail every incident is directed only toward this.

11. S (31:50) If you connect everything to the Creator it seems like an easy thing but how to justify Him is a hard thing. How do we do that?

R. I didn’t understand.

S. Connecting everything to the Creator, you know that everything comes from Him and there is a possibility for a person to do so, but to justify is already a feeling that it is Good that Does Good, how to come to such a feeling?

R. In the beginning you need to see that this is so over small things that the Creator gives you disturbances and then you advance and afterwards you have to try to justify it in advance. That whatever comes, comes from ‘There Is None Else Besides Him’ and this upper force is good and does good and therefore I am going with it to the goal that he leads me toward connection with everyone and with Him Himself and I have nothing else to do in life. This is my direction of my development.

S. There Is None Else Besides him and there is two parts, the sentence None Else Besides Him and Good That Does Good. In None Else Besides Him, you can feel in such a way, but Good That does Good is another completely different degree. How can you even get help by the tens or the friends?

R. Also you’re confused with There is None Else Besides Him as if you have it already. You can say it’s easy for you and it makes your life a little easier and that’s why you accept it. But the Good that Does Good, this you need to feel already, so now you disagree that this is happening. But I am telling you we have to accept it as a given from above that Kabbalists who attained it tell us this and this is how they teach us. That we have to exist just like at school and we are told and we accept these things and with it we try to live it. That the upper force is There Is None Else Besides Him there is only one, and it is also good. This I must accept and seemingly if I want to connect or even adhere to it, then in this way I have to see my life in this way. There Is None Else Besides Him, and He Is Good that Does Good in every single situation that happens to me, and I have no question, this I must accept because this is what the Kabbalists tell me and not criticize it in any way. And if you begin to implement this principle in life you will very quickly see where you are.

12. S. (35:47) What are, The Ways of the Creator are Straight?

R. That they are all directed although we have a great many states, but they are all directed only towards the purpose of creation. To discover that There Is None Else Besides Him, and He is Good that Does Good and governing us, drawing us towards Him, and pulling us towards Him even though we are going through states that might be the opposite of this.

S. The thing of exiting self-love is a matter of feeling and not a thing of understanding. Could you explain that and how do you attain that in the ten?

R. Only through efforts. Efforts to connect among us in one spirit to one goal.

13. S. (36:56) I have sensitive sensations towards the friends, and I have love towards them but I’m also distant from the Creator and I have negative feelings. How can I combine these two conditions and learn?

R. Try I can’t go into that because these are personal things, and they are constantly changing this way or that way in you. Try to combine them together.

14. S. (37:29) If the Creator who does all the work is it our role only to raise a prayer or engage in intention?

R. Prayer and request that’s what we need.

15. S. (37:50) When we feel this lack of pressure that we used to feel before, is this regarded as resistance, does it help to continue going to activities and conventions and activities of the ten even though it tastes like dust, and you feel dead?

R. Try.

16. S. (38:09) Who is the righteous that is while walking on the straight path, is it me and my point in the heart or is it the united ten?

R. A righteous is called one who justifies the governance of the Creator upon himself, and it can be also a person it can also be a ten. We will try to come to a point where we and the ten are all yearning to justify the actions of the Creator upon us and then our ten will be a righteous.

17. S. (39:05) If everything is There Is None Else Besides Him then what is my role? Because being wicked or righteous I don’t know if it is in my power. How do I do it if There is None Else Besides Him?

R. You need to belong To None else besides him to the extent and which you have no authority of your ,no permission for yourself and at any given moment you’re correcting more and more with the essence of the Creator, the control of the Creator upon all creation such that There Is None Else Besides Him, that is your role. Especially when you do it and you make it in the ten and you are trying to create such relations to tighten them in and these relations between you, to this extent that in the ten certainly the Creator can be revealed in the connection between you in a complete manner.

Excerpt #5 (40:35) “A person does not need to…” Twice

18. R. (43:14) Here Rabash writes a very harsh thing that a person many times and his spiritual development performs a certain scrutiny a critique of what’s going on with me there’s people that deals with all kinds of actions relative to religion and other things and I am in some philosophy some form that I cannot even explain it to others and it’s a problem, that the Creator Himself puts into a person such thoughts of doubts confusions and a person doesn’t know what to do and then…

Continues (44:11) “This is the time of choice…”

19. R. (44:29) Which is the truth, this is correct that only this distance and only the Creator can help him, this is also true.

Continues (44:38) “…and to believe what is written…”

20. R. (44:52) As specifically the Creator puts us into such corners that make it really difficult for us to turn to Him and it’s hard for us to understand that we’re advancing there and all of this so that we’ll truly understand the extent to which only the Creator is in control and to turn to Him from there from the depths I have called upon you the Lord, that’s how it needs to be. Hence…

Continues (45:20) “…therefore he says I will certainly get help…”

21. S. (46:21) What does it mean that he believes what is written? How does it help him to believe what is written is correct?

R. It’s nevertheless written in what the Kabbalists wrote is the truth and I need to somehow scrutinize these things they need to be seemingly written upon me as if it’s written that I need to see my descent, my fall, my lowliness, that I need to get to there.

S. What to do? What is my action that I can say this is believing what is written?

R. That I see that I am Incorporated and included in these states, I read about them before but didn’t know it and now reading and I see that I’m already in them, and each of us in each and every one of us has this.

22. S. (47:40) This excerpt leaves me with a feeling that there is something deterministic here. A person to begin with if he has some sort of gift to come to that resolution and to continue despite the difficulties and it‘s truly that only very special people are able to make that decision. What change is this feeling? What makes a person decide to continue?

R. The Creator is arranging one’s path we just need to just do what we’re capable towards the connection between us, between the friends, in the ten, between the tens, from the ten, to one ten, one big ten of ours, and from it to all of humanity as much as possible, to the extent in which it’s possible to develop our explanation our message to the whole world as much as possible not fear and move forward, onwards with our model which is unity and connection between everyone with love, absolute love, to be upon all people in the world and this is how we have to go and not be afraid. The connection in the correction of the vessel of Adam HaRishon, all connecting for my house will be called a house of prayer of for all of the people, as the Creator says, must be before us and this being the final goal this is what we need to aim towards and then we will not err also in the personal states we have along the way.

23. S. (50:00) This choice that we have, is it especially when we’re in a fall and in a descent. Do we have a choice only when we’re there?

R. The choice is in that I constantly choose strengthening the ten, my connection with the ten, and the connection between the tens to one world ten, and that all of this happens by the Creator correcting us, connecting us, adhering us on every step along the way more and more.

24. S. (51:02) How do we use the situation where I come out from the work. I don’t want to quit but I want to take a break for a minute. How do you deal with this situation?

R. There’s no such thing as leaving and come back again it’s already a harm to the connection to the unity it’s truly, I don’t even know how to say it but it’s against every manner of connection that if you have a cessation for even a moment, it’s no longer whole, it’s no longer whole, hence we need to be very cautious to not leave with our thoughts, desires, inclinations towards connection, as all of ours together, constantly yearn to be inclined towards the center of connection between us.

25. S. (52:32) Excerpt number five is basically the essence of this work which is based entirely on the inner work and not the external activities. Is this correct?

R. Of course we need external actions only in order to reach the internal work so we will have the way or in what way we to reach the inner order but after that no, there’s no connection to the external world, everything happens in the internal world between us.

Excerpt #6 (53:31) “ If a person nonetheless does not escape…”

26. S. (55:09) Overcoming it, does it increase, intensify the connection with the Creator or is it disconnection that gives us the strength to connect?

R. It’s the same thing to the extent in which we connect between us we come closer to the Creator to the extent in which we strengthen with the Creator we also connect between us. It’s very simply this is the vessel and that’s so light, that’s how it needs to be revealed in us.

27. S. (55:55) What does it mean to disclose his sins in public and why is that considered escaping the campaign?

R. Because he wants to describe a state in which instead of connecting more we are escaping the increasing connection between us and letting the work do the work that He has to do on us that’s it. It’s simply not in the same direction as the Creator needs to do.

S. What exactly does it mean to disclose the sins in public?

R. That I want to correct, to just reveal all whatever things are going on inside of me, all of the wounds, the bad in me, to the others. There’s no benefit in that but rather I show everyone the extent and which I rise above them and perform connections between myself and others.

28. S (57:38) In the previous excerpt Rabash writes that the Creator revives the dead. My problem is that I believe in myself, I believe in what the wisdom of Kabbalah teaches but I think I’m relying only on my own forces, there’s a part of me that doesn’t want to die, doesn’t want to surrender, what do I need to do?

R. Try to explain to yourself what it means to die and surrender, towards who and with the help of which forces, and where are you getting to with this, what state are you coming to when you do that, try to explain that, and then you will see how that helps you advance.

29. S. (58:44) It’s written in the expert that a person should believe that in this work that he does during the descent he adds actions in externality on the basis of above reason, and by this he takes big strides toward reaching the goal called adhesion with the Creator. What are the actions, external actions on the basis of above reason?

R. Where I need to perform actions of connection with the friends as much as possible in order to advertise that this action is spiritual and raise us to corrections.

S. Why is it written that they are external actions, why does it say that?

R. External actions in that they’re apparent to the eye by which I advertise what we’re engaged in.

Excerpt #7 (59:51) “ Overcoming means taking a part…”

30. R. (01:01:22) Look at what he writes and in this we err usually and don’t find the correct solution to our states, that in every place we have an opportunity to advance whether from the side of good seemingly or from the side of bad seemingly.

Excerpt #7 (01:01:48) Twice

31. R. (01:03:20) This is exactly what happens to us when we are given all kinds of so-called obstacles on the path and they’re those who stumble upon them and say it’s impossible to advance here enough to hear I’m going back to my regular life or to all kinds of other forms, and there are those that no, continue and say no, these are the things that are specifically going according to what is written yes, and therefore I’m advancing together with them, little patience a little pressure and I am moving forward.

32. S. (01:04:02) What does it mean that it’s written about foreign thoughts that we need to go above reason, to work against them above reason how do we do it?

R. The best thing I can do is for me to hear, feel, see, what is done before me these obstacles, obstacles in mind, and obstacles in the heart, and I accept these things together with the fact that I continue onwards and then these obstacles become Aviut coarseness of the degree upon which I need to ascend, that’s how it is and this is how we rise more and more, in the degrees. This is what happens to us.

Rav Reads Excerpt #7 (01:05:31)

RAV: Overcoming means taking a part of a vessel of reception and adding it to the vessels of bestowal. It is like the Masach the screen which we must put on the Aviut the coarseness. It follows that if one has no will to receive meaning coarseness one has nothing upon which to place a Masach a screen. For this reason when the evil inclination brings us foreign thoughts this is the time to take these thoughts and raise them above reason. It’s best not to throw them away not distance ourselves as if I don’t have them but rather raise them above reason this is something a person can do with everything one’s soul desires. He shouldn’t say that now he has received rejection from the work, as he truly feels this way that it’s rejecting him from the work, giving him doubts along the way with the friends et cetera, rather he should say that he was given thoughts and desires from above, those new thoughts and desires so that he will have room to admit them into Kedusha into holiness.

33. R. (01:07:03) Meaning that there are such let’s say, oh it’s not okay it’s not good really I am mistaken, maybe I’ll go in some other direction to some other place no, he needs to see that from the heavens he’s given thoughts and desires so that he will have a place to admit them into holiness, in that same place just like before it therefore follows that it is so to the contrary because he’s brought closer from above, he was sent work to adhere even more specifically thanks to these foreign thoughts to these so-called disturbances, it was said about this the ways are the Lord are straight the righteous walk it and transgressors fail in it.

34. S (01:08:00) The ability to raise foreign thoughts above reason, what does it depend on?

R. The mutual bestowal of the friends. Well certainly from the root of the soul to the extent and which a person invests in it personally beforehand and maybe from the previous incarnations but in truth it’s the bestowal of the friends.

35. S. (01:08:47) What does it mean to raise a foreign thoughts above reason?

R. To go above it despite the fact that it’s right and it wants to deviate from the path I am going with that foreign thought but on the path with them that’s it. It’s like it’s not bothering me until everything connects to one place.

36. S. (01:09:28) What does it mean to, and most of all how, to transfer to the side of Kedusha the desires and the thoughts that are against connection?

R. We just need to look at them more and more and see the extent in which they are not contradicted to the path but rather want us to go above them on the same path. Look at them and see that they’re not coming to divert you from the path but rather they are coming so that you will rise above them and go upon them like on degrees of ascent on steps of ascent.

37. S. (01:10:34) What can be done if the fear of connection with the friends is felt as real?

R. Talk with them together and ask from all of them to the Creator to help. R. There is a difference between being connected to the Creator during an ascent and during descent and both in the ascent and during the descent there are forces that distance the Creator from a person, during the descent it’s where a person’s not capable of holding on to the greatness of the Creator and during the ascent in that he can’t hold on to the greatness of himself, and then between those two things there’s a certain contradiction and therefore it’s easiest for a person to be in between in the middle but we need to try to be both in ascents and in descents in the same state in adhesion Dvekut with the Creator. If we come to a connection between us then it’s not important for us to be in ascents or descents. We are then in our vessel, and it is always in the relative perfection.

R. A person appreciates his relation with the Creator only to the extent that he’s connected with his ten and that is how he measures the measure of his tightness with the friends the extent in which he’s tighter with the friends accordingly he measures because in spirituality there are no devices to measure those devices are our Sefirot our vessels between the created beings therefore to the extent to which we join each other together this is how we can name ourselves in adhesion with the Creator.
