⚜️ WEDNESDAY PRAYER: MALCHUT-MITZVA 503

READING: SUNSET TUESDAY

MITZVA 503 That a man having an issue shall bring a sacrifice after he is cleansed of his issue (Lev. 15:13-15) (affirmative).

Leviticus Chapter 15 וַיִּקְרָא

יג  וְכִי-יִטְהַר הַזָּב, מִזּוֹבוֹ–וְסָפַר לוֹ שִׁבְעַת יָמִים לְטָהֳרָתוֹ, וְכִבֶּס בְּגָדָיו; וְרָחַץ בְּשָׂרוֹ בְּמַיִם חַיִּים, וְטָהֵר.

13 And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue, then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes; and he shall bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean.

יד  וּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁמִינִי, יִקַּח-לוֹ שְׁתֵּי תֹרִים, אוֹ שְׁנֵי, בְּנֵי יוֹנָה; וּבָא לִפְנֵי יְהוָה, אֶל-פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד, וּנְתָנָם, אֶל-הַכֹּהֵן.

14 And on the eighth day he shall take to him two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, and come before the LORD unto the door of the tent of meeting, and give them unto the priest.

טו  וְעָשָׂה אֹתָם, הַכֹּהֵן–אֶחָד חַטָּאת, וְהָאֶחָד עֹלָה; וְכִפֶּר עָלָיו הַכֹּהֵן לִפְנֵי יְהוָה, מִזּוֹבוֹ.  {ס}

15 And the priest shall offer them, the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD for his issue. {S}
