REALITY

We cannot attain any reality as it is in itself.
Rather, we attain everything according to our
sensations. And reality, as it is in itself, is of
no interest to us at all. Hence, we do not attain
the Torah as it is in itself, but only attain
our sensations. Thus, all of our impressions
follow only our sensations.

וְשָׂא נֵס לְקִבּוּץ פְּזוּרֵי עַמִּים,

לְקַבֵּץ נִדָּחִים אֶל מְקוֹם מִבְטָחִים

וְגוֹלִים אֶל אַדְמַת אֲחוּזָתָם.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהוה מְקַבֵּץ פְּזוּרֵי עַמּוֹ וְעוֹלָמוֹ.

Bring in a big trumpet to impress your world, And carry out a miracle to the scattered peoples, Collect faithfuls to a place of safety And exiles to the land of their estates. Blessed are you, Yahweh, who gather the scattered people to Your world.
