RECITATION BEFORE THE TIKKUN RACHEL AND TIKKUN LEAH:

Psalms Chapter 102 תְּהִלִּים

ד  כִּי-כָלוּ בְעָשָׁן יָמָי;    וְעַצְמוֹתַי, כְּמוֹקֵד נִחָרוּ.

4 For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as a hearth.

TIKKUN RACHEL:

Psalms Chapter 137 תְּהִלִּים

ד  אֵיךְ–נָשִׁיר אֶת-שִׁיר-יְהוָה:    עַל, אַדְמַת נֵכָר.

4 How shall we sing the LORD’S song in a foreign land?

Psalms Chapter 79 תְּהִלִּים

ב  נָתְנוּ, אֶת-נִבְלַת עֲבָדֶיךָ–    מַאֲכָל, לְעוֹף הַשָּׁמָיִם;
בְּשַׂר חֲסִידֶיךָ,    לְחַיְתוֹ-אָרֶץ.

2 They have given the dead bodies of Thy servants to be food unto the fowls of the heaven, {N}
the flesh of Thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.

CONCLUSION OF TIKKUN RACHEL:

Isaiah Chapter 52 יְשַׁעְיָהוּ

ב הִתְנַעֲרִי מֵעָפָר קוּמִי שְּׁבִי, יְרוּשָׁלִָם; התפתחו (הִתְפַּתְּחִי) מוֹסְרֵי צַוָּארֵךְ, שְׁבִיָּה בַּתצִיּוֹן. {ס}

2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem; loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion. {S}

TIKKUN LEAH:

Psalms Chapter 42 תְּהִלִּים

ד  הָיְתָה-לִּי דִמְעָתִי לֶחֶם,    יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה;
בֶּאֱמֹר אֵלַי כָּל-הַיּוֹם,    אַיֵּה אֱלֹהֶיךָ.

4 My tears have been my food day and night, {N}
while they say unto me all the day: ‘Where is thy God?’
