Part 1:
Rabash. Article 24, (1985). Three Times in the Work
1. S (26:01) Why those who love the reason advance in hastening it to the correction of his soul?
R. Because through that he’s connected to the Creator.
S. How do we make everyone reach it?
R. That is from trying to connect everyone.
S. Are you saying we should pray for everyone?
R. We’ll connect everyone.
S. Okay I understand. Connect everyone, thank you.
2. S. (26:53) How do we include all three times, past, present and future in the present?
R. When a person thinks about what he adheres to right at this moment and then connects all the causes, the reasons to the actions he’s going to do.
S. Can you elaborate, how do I connect the past and future in the present?
R. Right. And out of that I find the most correct action for me to advance.
S. What is the act that includes all the times in the present time?
R. it’s connection of the past, president and future, that they’ll be connected in the present.
S. What connects them to the present?
R. My intention. The intention that now I want to make an action by which all the times, all the actions, all the opportunities and possibilities will connect to a single action, connection.
S. Why do we need everything in the present?
R. Because in the present, right now I determine what I want, what I want to attain.
S. Another question, how can we be rewarded with the light of confidence so that the goal will shine in the internality of the vessels?
R. That’s if I try to not separate from the Creator, then I obtain some measure of the light of confidence.
3. S. (29:06) He writes ‘a person should always scrutinize his goal’. What is this always? How do you scrutinize the goal every moment?
R. That he’s connected to the same goal and tries to always ocnnect to it further and further in a clearer and clearer way, in a more eternal way.
S. But is there a way to every moment, with every thought to make this scrutiny or is there like this general atmosphere that it’s enough?
R. There’s a permanent effort that one has to make, that everything he’s doing will be connected to the attainment of the goal.
S. Should this really be every moment as you said?
R. Then otherwise what does he live for?
S. Yes, but let’s say now we all got together, we made a preparation for the lesson, we read an article. So in these 45 or 50 minutes we’ve been active, the goal that was when we came together, is it enough or should we at every opportunity search actively and increase the frequency of asking: what is the purpose, what is the goal?
R. We have to always try to be connected to the goal and if you can connect to it further than do that, do it more and more but the goal has to be in front of you.
S. I feel like I’m missing something in what you’re saying.
R. You are missing on how to connect the past, present, and future. That they’ll be connected together in the right action.
4. S. (31:40) In the example with the merchant who is buying merchandise and was very happy about the future when he will sell it, personally I can sympathize with it. It’s a huge feeling when you know that in the future you will realize it. Now there’s a feeling that here we’re requiring a very high quality merchandise here in the present but it’s hard to be happy about the future. Where is the place where we can feel that there we’re going to realize the merchandise so we can be happy in the present about the future?
R. Each and every moment we are advancing from the present to the future and therefore I have to be joyful in that I’m realizing the Creator’s plan for everyone, me included.
S. Does the Future come every moment?
R. Every moment, yes. Just to be in that, to flow in that.
S. What is the merchandise, what is our merchandise from which we will be happy?
R. That’s the increasing proximity between us and the Creator, that gradually awakens to become revealed from this proximity.
S. The evil inclination keeps telling us, well each time he says a different thing, the opposite of what we should really be hearing, let’s put it this way. What is the correct attitude when we hear the evil inclination? What should our relation be? What should our attitude be to the evil inclination?
R. It is said about the evil inclination ‘help made against thee.’ Meaning that it directs us to the same goal but in the opposite way. And we see that actually in many incidences in life where we need both the negative force and the positive force to advance correctly. Therefore, we only need to see how we use the evil inclination correctly because without it, we wouldn’t know how to advance and would just run towards something that’s Illuminating and attractive to us. That can’t be because we have to grow. It’s not that we’re all already built from the correct desire to attain the final goal, rather we have to shape it. Other than growing it we also have to form it.T o give it the right shape and to format it means to continuously adapt it and match it more and more to the upper spiritual goal.
5. S. (35:41) Where are the warehouses where I keep the spiritual merchandise because personally I feel like every day I lose all the merchandise and I have to reacquire it?
R. These storages are in the friends. If I connect to them then I can use the connection between us so as to reveal day by day the spiritual goal in a greater, clearer, more attractive way.
S. And I can’t pull out the merchandise from there? What’s the trick to pull out the merchandise from there when I need it?
R. You don’t need the merchandise. It’s like there are such actions in the a business world but sometimes you don’t need to sell something, you can rather use the value going up.
S. Like stocks?
R. Let’s say so, and that’s how I use it.
6. S. (37:14) How does the connection of past, present and future neutralize the evil inclination or diminish its strength, which I understand is what he advises us here?
R. How connecting the past, present and the future what?
S. How does it diminish the evil inclination or neutralize its negative influence?
R. That depends on how a person wants to see himself between these forces of past, present and future.
S. How do I connect the past, present and future? What does it mean to connect the past, present and future?
R. Connect them in the present.
S. But what does it mean? I want to do this, what should I do?
R. Based on the past I wish to discover the future in the present.
S. Okay, so I did this based on the past. I want to discover the future in the present. How does this strengthen me on the path?
R. So this is as though you found it, you’e attained it.
S. Basically the connection of the past, present and future, is it like above reason?
R. That’s similar, yes.
7. S. (39:16) Concerning the past, present and future I want to take you to the practice, to the practical. If we look at the past you once said that you were in Jerusalem and you wanted to buy a Kabbalah book and the seller was alarmed. Afterward Kabbalah became something everyone talked about and you said you didn’t believe it would develop this way.
R. Yeah, it literally happened in a few years.
S. You said you didn’t believe it would happen in a few years. Also when you studied with Rabash could you foresee that there would be so many students all over the world? Was it something you foresaw or couldn’t foresee?
R. Look, I saw many people going to all kinds of circles but there wasn’t actual Kabbalh there yet. All kinds of card tricks and fortune telling and things that the people were drawn to and so clearly I couldn’t take part in that, I was just a completely in disregard towards that. But in a few years I saw that people started accepting, that Kabbalah books started to be sold in various places. And that was like a miracle, how that could even be and yet they started selling because they saw there was demand and that it’s a shame to lose that money. So even people who didn’t agree or didn’t open such books they still kept it in their stores. So that’s how it happened.
S. So referring to the article, based on these jumps, changes that were not seen at the time can we look at the future and say then if this is what happened then in the future maybe now the world doesn’t hear it but very soon it will hear it, what we’re doing and it will have a great need for it?
R. I think that we are in a time of transition. That even though the wisdom of Kabbalah descended if we could put it that way towards the people and it exists within the people, the people still don’t recognize it. Meaning yes, they say okay there’s the wisdom of Kabbalah okay, so what? So I hope that we will go through that stage and pass that stage and in the meantime we’ll talk and compose books and do all kinds of actions that nevertheless present the right form of the wisdom to people. And then times will also change and people will change and they’ll become no longer indifferent as they are now. They’ll want to hear about something more internal.
S. So to conclude, connecting the past and the future is to see what happened, how things developed, understanding that there’s a serious process here and based on that things will happen in the future and also..
R. Yes in the past you used to take hundreds of years and decades and today maybe years. So time is changing, the pace is changing.
8. S. (44:29) He says look at the past and update the reason for which you are walking and see if you can take a more accurate reason that will bring contentment to the Creator. So that’s the past. The future as I understand it is if we can be connected this way together, maybe not just a ten but the whole world Kli, maybe all of humanity and be in adhesion between us and the Creator. I would like to understand the present. In the end it talks about the evil inclination where it tells him you don’t belong on this path. Another time it tells him you know better than everyone, they’re not good enough for you. What is that scrutiny in the present?
R. The present is all the time. Yesterday was the present towards the day before and today towards today and also tomorrow towards tomorrow. The present is the present. It’s how I am with my perception and my scrutiny and my hopes and so forth. So I always have to also correct myself with respect to what am I aiming for, what do I want, wish to happen between today and tomorrow? It’s difficult because it necessitates the most difficult work during the day so that I’ll change until tomorrow but a little bit at least we need to think about it. That’s what we each need after all to write down before us. That I today during the day I have to get to something, some degree, some half a step forward, something.
S. if I look at the ten, when I come I have a certain goal..
R. With the ten it’s easier because you determine in advance together with the ten. I need to reach such a progress in connection today, in this and that manner and then you also realize it in a corporal way so it’s as if in your hands.
S. is there something good in pulling that desirable state in the future into the present state that I’m in?
R. Yes of course, this is called moving forward. When we go forward we are essentially moving towards tomorrow but we make that the present.
S. So I have a very clear pinpointed goal. There’s a desirable state but in practice I might see something opposite. Sometimes we see friends not so..
R. Sometimes we see the opposite but this opposite-ness is so that we will better understand the present state.
S. And what is the most powerful tool for the change? It’s as if I’m collecting data but in the end I need something that will instigate this change?
R. Envy, lust and honor when you connect them with the group.
9. S. (48:42) How can we live in the present and merge that with the surrounding light of the future?
R. I do everything in order to be in the future. I scrutinize in what way I can live in the future, I try to realize it and then I see what else I’m missing in order to practically get to the future.
10. S. (49:34) In a state of despair you always have to ask for help from the Creator but how can you continue and ask for years if you don’t see results from these prayers?
R. But we have nowhere else from which to receive help, we have no one who can provide us with this help, only the upper force which is the same for eveyone. It is present over everyone and therefore we must turn to Him now. The fact that we constantly turn to Him from all kinds of states is already changes. That although He does them because each time He gives us a different situation but if we from every state do not let go of Him then this is how we activate Him. We activate Him. This is called my sons have defeated me.
S. What to do if the concern for the importance of the goal becomes routine? How can you have so much patience for the work in the ten?
R. Patience we cannot receive, we cannot acquire it because we do want to advance, we want to see the goal, the future goal in the present but by connecting and asking. We don’t understand what is the difference between the past the present and the future it is only the level of connection between us. If we can connect we operate toward condensing of time and then we simply leap into the future.
11. S. (52:16) Do we expose the future or create it?
R. There is no time, there is no time but according to our inner efforts between us, we reveal our states, our more corrected states. This is actually called being in time.
12. S. (52:55) What is the future state we need to aspire to in the ten every day?
R. To be connected as much as we understand today what it means to be connected. This is very important and in this way, everyday. By this we can really shorten the way the process.
13. S. (53:30) what is the role of time in the spiritual work? What help does it give us?
R. Time is a deficiency, time is a deficiency. What we lack we detail it in time, we spread it over time. It’s like cashing something for change, this is called being able to shorten time. It will be clear.
14. S. (54:25) If you can explain what is charity and what is reciprocal aid?
R. Help between people, we’re not talking about animals or trees or inanimate although it exists there too but helping others, this is called doing mercy, almsgiving. But again it is good deeds, not for others but for yourself because the Creator allowed us to correct ourselves, to bring ourselves closer to the purpose of creation by helping others as if they are others. And by giving us remoteness from others He gave me a chance to come closer to myself and in this way come closer to the Creator, to Him. This is how it works.
15. S. (55:40) The light of the future won’t be blemished if we start enjoying it in the present?
R. First of all it’s not up to us. We cannot draw it, we don’t have the vessels for it but to the extent that we connect between us we can summon it by increasing. And increasing its illumination on us, this is called drawing the future.
16. S. (56:20) The merchant has assurances about the profits in the future in the article. Where are we supposed to have the insurances of in order to draw the joy from the future right now in the present?
R. If we can influence the connection between us then we can influence the light that will be revealed from between us. This is called truly being able to be givers, to determine the general states of all of reality. Because the still, vegetative, animate and speaking, if we elevate through the connection between us, if we elevate among these degrees then everything is in our hands, everything is in our hands. It all depends only on the connection.
17. S. (57:36) What is the surrounding light that will be received in the future?
R. All the surrounding light is that light which is around the spiritual Partzuf, around the soul and waits until it can clothe in it according to the level of connection between the parts of the soul. So of course in the future it will all become present, inner light.
18. S. (58:16) He writes in the article that the tendency of the will to receive is to separate between the three times. Why is it the tendency of the will to receive?
R. Again?
S. He writes that the tendency of the will to receive is to separate past, present and future. Why is that the tendency of the will to receive?
R. Because that’s how the desire is built. It doesn’t count what it has in all the times, it is connected to time, attached to a time where it feels what benefit it gets from the light that spreads in the vessels.
S. So the will to bestow is the tendency to connect the three times?
R. The will to bestow is what?
S. To connect the three times?
R. It connect the three times? Perhaps, but that’s in the future.
19. S. (59:28) The goal is what feeds us, what nourishes us, keeps us on the path. It’s like the merchant with the profitt in the future but it’s very egoistic. How can that become real? It’s a goal we can’t imagine in vessels of bestowal because we don’t have them.
R. It doesn’t matter what tendency I am in and if I want to benefit. If I want to gain then of course I weigh my benefit in my vessels, right; whether it’s in order to receive or in order to bestow.
S. But we don’t have what to bestow only to receive?
R. Why? In order to bestow we don’t weigh how much we can bestow, don’t we weigh it in vessels of reception? Doesn’t the light spread in the vessels of reception?
S. Reception.
R. So the only question is for what purpose, for whose purpose but we work with the same vessels. ‘I have created evil inclination I have created the Torah as a spice.’ Without the evil inclination there wouldn’t be Torah, there wouldn’t be anything, there wouldn’t be creation. The material of creation is the will to receive and we learn how to fill it. The will to receive and the end of correction is for all the will to receive to be filled with the upper light.
S. The problem is you imagine it egoistically, the goal seems profitable.
R. It doesn’t matter. As a profit for me, profit means that the upper light will fill all the will to receive that the Creator created.
S. But also the upper light, I imagine it in in a way that is..
R. It’s a filling.
S. An egoistic filling. When does the person really see the true goal?
R. The act should be giving, the result of the act should be filling. Revelation of the Creator to the created being in this world, think.
20. S. (01:02:18) Does patience fit into the matter of time?
R. Patience is.. why?
S. In patience there is calculation?
R. Yes but it’s secondary.
S. According to the person’s state?
R. Yes, it has to do with the will to receive. To the extent that will to receive can maintain itself in wait for the reception of the benefit.
S. About the past, present and future, if in some stage a person is in the right goal is that the place where time disappears?
R. Time disappears?
S. Yes, when there is no time.
R. Time disappears if the relation between the light and the vessel disappears. Because the relation of the light toward the vessel that it has to fill gives us sensation of time, when it will happen.
S. So it’s equivalence of form with the purpose of creation?
R. Yes of course. The purpose of creation is for all the light to fill all the vessels.
21. S. (01:03:50) There is the matter of always renewing, I am reading, the reason for the Torah is the adhesion with the Creator and the reason that necessitates him to gain adhesion with the Creator, that reason always needs to be renewed, meaning the reason for the goal always move? and you always have to fuel it?
R. It will be clearer and clearer and at the same time it can be farther.
S. More what?
R. Further away, but it happens there is a relation between them, between each other.
22. S. (01:04:43) You said before to condense the times, what is that?
R. Condensing times means arranging the vessel so it is better prepared to receive the light to be in equivalence with the light.
S. If I can clarify this, so I always have to bring the goal closer to me?
R. How?
S. By yearning, you said before we always have to check the reason. I feel that the reason that I always check why am I doing here and what for, that increases the goal and the importance of the goal and then I picture really what, how I want this goal in my eyes right now in the present and that gives me yearning all the time?
R. Okay, continue.
23. S. (01:06:02) I wanted to ask about determining to yourself what you want to do until tomorrow, let’s say I determine things I wish to realize until tomorrow, what does that mean that you realize it?
R. I would determine it with respect to the study, I need to know this, I need to understand that but in terms of this spiritual work we are in the process of how much can I come closer to the friends, how much can I feel that the Creator to that extent becomes more revealed, or closer to being revealed between us, to detail it into activities, actions.
S. In terms of the study, what else can you obtain until tomorrow in the study?
R. Until tomorrow it’s clear from the study itself.
S. Yes, but I didn’t ask about that, I asked about internally. If I want to determine that until tomorrow I’m more connected to the friends and there’s the vessel between us and there’s more tendency towards bestowal, how do you then practically move towards that?
R. Think and then you will see that you still have to scrutinize what still exists between you and the friends, what qualities, what distance, seeing and how you can remove it.
S. But what’s the force that enables you to realize what you have determined for tomorrow?
R. Besides the Creator you have no powers.
S. So how do you make him do the shift from today to tomorrow?
R. So he will be my partner, I want to come closer to the friends in the Ten, I want to feel them closer and I turn to the Creator and I asked him to help and even do this nearing, meaning I see him as a partner and then he begins over time to be revealed between us as the operator, as the correcting and pulling force.
S. So I depicted to myself this goal that I see for tomorrow and then I start praying for it all the time?
R. Depict it in my senses that he is between you and the friends and he feels the distance between you.
S. To depict in your senses, what is that?
R. As you feel the friends the distance between you and them, you try to imagine that the Creator fills it and this way you will start getting closer to NRNHY.
S. Understood. Now, this goal that I wish to attain until tomorrow, that needs to be the goal of all my friends in the Ten or each one defines to himself?
R. Well however is convenient for you, perhaps you’re still in states were with one person I’m closer, for one person I’m further away and I still become confused between corporeal and spiritual qualities.
S. I’m not asking about my connection with someone specific in the Ten, I’m asking whether the Ten should determine to itself how it sees tomorrow or each one determines his tomorrow?
R. Both, both. you want to delve into this.
24. S. (01:11:01) Interestingly he writes in the end of the article, disconnected from the rest of the article, there is this conversation with the evil inclination, that if you do work then evil inclination comes and you shouldn’t listen to it and it tells you on the one hand that you are righteous so you shouldn’t believe it, then it tells you what are you working for you are not working for the sake of the Creator anyway, so this whole conversation, how does the person know that he’s speaking to the evil inclination or to the upper force? is there some test?
R. Is there a difference?
S. Yes because he writes evil inclination is against him.
R. Help made against him.
S. It says you shouldn’t listen to the evil inclination, the Creator’s probably the force that I should listen to, so how to differentiate who is speaking to the person?
R. That which pushes you to close the distance in the group this is the good inclination and the opposite is the evil inclination.
S. So that’s the measurement?
R. Yes.
25. S. (01:12:33) Can we say that Or Makif is the Creator’s will for us?
R. Well yeah you could put it this way.
26. S. (01:13:06) He writes about pride at the end, that if a person has pride he and I can not live in the same abode, I know I have pride, I discovered it in kabbalah. How can I begin to release that? or how can a person relieve himself from his pride?
R. Through prayer, that’s clear to us. To come to prayer we have to do things, see how much you are immersed in pride and understand that only the Creator can help and then turn to the Creator and pray and ask that he will help you rise from the pride.
27. S. (01:14:13) He writes here that we always need to study the past, we also learned that we can’t look at yesterday and be the wife of Lot, that whatever is the past is over, so what do you learn from the past and how?
R. We have to see our lives as a series of influences, I’m to my beloved and my beloved is to me and out of that we should learn what to do. That is it.
S. So his thought is whatever he’s thinking that’s where he is right? so I can be in a certain moment to be in the past, present of future, why should I be in the past, in my thoughts; what do I want from the past?
R. To learn for the present and for the future.
S. What do I learn?
R. What do you want to learn?
S. We’re saying None Else Besides Him, that’s what I can learn from the past. Everything that was I can have attitude towards it?
R. There’s None else Besides Him can really mislead you.
S. Why?
R. Because If I’m saying There’s None Else Besides Him then I’ll just can go to sleep until the End of Correction, There is None Else Besides Him.
S. So not to say None Else Besides Him or whatever happened?
R. Depends. It depends, but not in such a way that it erases your efforts for the present and for the future.
S. Why is the past?
R. There’s None Else Besides Him means that the Creator organizes, arranges the present for you and organizes it in such a way that from it you can approach your own end of correction in the only correct way.
S. So why not only to be in the future, the present and the future, why do I care about what happened?
R. How to learn? Without the past, disconnect the person from the past he will not know anything about what to do next, this is what babies don’t have, children.
S. Right, but again, what exactly am I learning from the past, I can disconnect from it. He says in Shamati the main thing is to give gratitude for the past so what else do I need to do?
R. Learn.
S. What, how?
R. Learn from the past so it’s not to repeat such things in the present and in the future
S. On what, the places I failed in?
R. Yes, that you think you failed.
S. Or is that trick that I have to say None Else Besides Him about it?
R. No.
28. S. (01:17:34) Continuing with what the friend said, he said to scrutinize the true reason and also that you have to keep renewing it, meaning the reason will always move around in our work and that’s what I always have to scrutinize?
R. Yes, each and every day a person should see himself anew and to make a calculation over his whole life again and to take one step forward.but not to leave anything that was yesterday without examining it.
29. S. (01:18:41) About pride that he mentions at the end of the article; he described it two states that sometimes the person has told that you’re the Creator’s worker, you work for the sake of the heavens, everybody isn’t and you are and sometimes it’s opposite, so if I understood he calls this pride that if a person believes he’s inclination so he is in pride, so what is pride about it, I understand the first state but the second state that he says that everybody’s working for the sake of the heavens and you’re not, when the person feels he’s lowliness it is also pride?
R. It is hard for me to answer, it depends where he sees his correction.
S. Is it about a person seeing himself separate from the public no matter in which direction, that’s pride or is pride something else?
R. Not necessarily, this is pride no,.
30. S. (01:19:53) The article’s speaking a lot about the reward; past, present, future and how to bring the reward into the future even though it will be in the future and many times we talk about also Rabash in many articles, that the work has to be the reward, meaning the work has to become my reward, that there’s no future reward, the work itself is my reward. If a person or society gives him enough importance of the goal so how to connect these two things, is that a more advanced state or is it a state that comes before?
R. In what way does he invite the pleasure in the Creator, meaning by what actions of his does he invite pleasure in the Creator, that’s something you should think about and for that to be the reward for him.
S. So what should be the optimum goal that, the work will be the reward or that we will see the future reward reward in the present?
R. I don’t want to see the future reward in the present, I don’t want to see in the future, all I want is to know that I give contentment to the Creator. This is important for me, meaning knowing that is the reward for me.
S. So the …. the past, present and future’s the stage on the path it’s like a pre-stage?
R. Yes, and also knowing that I’m giving contentment, that’s not the reward but rather that’s for me is a fact that I’m doing the right action, okay?
31. S. (01:22:13) Working in the three times it’s in order to teach me or to focus me?
R. To direct you to that end point of the purpose of creation when you unite with the Creator and the two of you feel how you’re doing good to each other.
S. And that also shortens the time?
R. Yes, it turns time into zero, time disappears then. The goal of creation is to reach the time zero.
32. S. (01:23:05) How do you have an inner dialogue with the evil inclination and how to have an inner dialogue with the Creator?
R. How to do it? well I don’t know, maybe I don’t have enough words for that. A dialogue with the Creator, we are constantly in it because the Creator is in the evil inclination, the good inclination, all kinds of shapes, we have the way we speak between us; that is on the one hand on the other hand I don’t know, I don’t know how to answer it maybe explain the question a bit more.
S. How to have that dialogue, that inner dialogue with the evil inclination?
R. The inner dialogue with the evil inclination is something we can sustain within us, inside us but you have to guard all the time not to run away from the evil inclination to seemingly to the good inclination or from both of them, I should see the goal for me that seems to me to be the right one and relatively close, not something behind the clouds there, some fantasy but something close, something tangible, practical and then I should imagine to myself how I attain it, how do I realize it, along with my friends, along with the big society, maybe humanity, the Creator.
33. S. (01:25:52) If a person sees something from the past that he should learn from, how does he correct it?
R. Simply, according to what he hears, what he feels, that’s how he corrects as usual, as we’re making mistakes and it’s clear to us what to do in order to correct them.
S. Inner attitude, external attitude?
R. Both, I don’t know, going according to the questions, there’s not enough data there.
34. S. (01:26:34) How can we relate our efforts in the work to the Creator and to come out of the feeling that it was me who did the effort?
R. To try to associate it this way and in general what we feel, think, decide ultimately everything comes out of him, he’s governing us 100% in every cell in every little nerve, that’s how we should accept it and just keep on being devoted to this upper force.
35. S. (01:27:45) Very interesting to follow this discussion I’m trying to get my question clear. Myself I have a daily concern because I am a businessman, I am daily concerned of complex process of coming to the future, to integrate it now, busy with strategy and with all this sort of things so according to this metaphor you came about business, how do you come lets say to overcome a feeling of risk and fear and to want to invest lets say in the future, so what is that point let’s say of decision taking to stake the steps of moving forward to find the truth? because it looks like that in spirituality it’s easier than in business, but what is the magic trick here?
R. In In spirituality it’s easier because it’s clearer to you what good and bad is. In your corporeal business you have many calculations and in such a low degree it’s hard to distinguish between them, that’s why it’s a problem.
S. So what is the decision taking point let’s say that really makes us make steps, make big steps or small step, it looks like it’s an iterative process so how do we work here to make the decision to move forward?
R. According to the clarity of the data, accordingly you come to a point that you have to decide, that’s clear, right? Good.
36. S. (01:29:51) As I advance strongly and confidently in the work how can I be sure that I didn’t fall into arrogance?
R. Only through your connection to your friends and through them to the Creator. What other system do you have that can guarantee tomorrow for you? The future, only this way.
37. S. (01:30:39) The more I include the past in the present. What should I do in order not to adhere to the past and keep advancing in the studies?
R. Again?
S. She asks how not to get stuck in the past and advance when you want to include the past in the present?
R. I don’t understand the question.
S. We said we have to unite everything to the present, so she’s asking when I start dealing with connecting the past into the present, how not to be stuck in past and keep advancing. There are all kind of things that are happening, anxieties, etc.?
R. How do we advance, actually by taking one step foward to the future. We don’t have any other way, if we want to decide about something we have to have one foot in the future, that is how it is.
38. S. (01:32:17) Sometimes the past causes the fear in the future and I feel that fear prevents us from doing the work in the present. What do I need, just get courage to deal with the present and if so where do I get the courage?
R. Connect to your friends, there’s no other way to advance. We have to understand that in spirituality there is no time, there is an extent of connection between the created beings. This determines in what way, what time they’re in, that is why only this way can we advance.
39. S. (01:33:26) How does happiness from the future, how can it be stronger than the present one when I feel pain? Isn’t it just better to search for adhesion in the present, that will give us the happiness more than thinking of future benefits?
R. Yes.
S. In the spiritual world is there a past, is there a future, or only present?
R. In the Spiritual World there is no time, it is only with the respect to the created beings. Instead of time we can talk about measures of connection between them, that brings us the feeling of time.
