1. S. (04:13) What causes sparks of bestowal to cleave to adhere to Malchut? It is a different nature, what happened there, how did it mix?
R. This is through the light.
S. So what is happening in Malchut from the perspective that it is suddenly receiving the quality of bestowal? What is the light doing there if this can somehow be described?
R. Hold on. What is this about? How Malchut received the force of bestowal?
S. Yes, it is about Malchut ascending and mixing with the force of bestowal and somehow it now has something of the quality of bestowal through which it can advance towards correction, but the process of the force of bestowal entering and doing something within Malchut, what is it doing?
R. Adding the force of bestowal.
S. We are saying it as if it’s clear, but at the end of the day, Malchut is the desire to receive and what, suddenly it wanted to bestow?
R. Yes.
S. And this nature, it’s not her normal nature, there’s already some correction there on Malchut?
R. Well of course.
S. Why couldn’t it have happened earlier, before?
R. They never met, Malchut and Bina. Only now.
S. And what turned it into being qualified, what process had to happen in this meeting, so this unification can happen?
R. Maybe we should read it again. Item 58 “This is the meaning of our sages’ words: “In the beginning, He contemplated creating the world with the quality of judgment, meaning only with the will to receive. He saw that the world could not exist because then the Upper Light can’t enter into Malchut, into the vessel and brought forward the quality of mercy and associated it with the quality of judgment.”
Explanation: every “first” and “next” in spirituality refers to cause and consequence. This is why it is written that the first cause for the worlds, meaning the Partzufim of AK that were emanated before all the worlds, were emanated in the quality of judgment, that is in Malchut alone, called the quality of judgment. This refers to phase four, which has been restricted and departed as a vacant and empty space and the Sium of the Raglaim of AK. This is the point of this world, below the Sium Raglaim of AK’s, in the form of a vacant and empty space, devoid of any light.
“He saw that the world does not exist” means that in this way, it was impossible for Adam, who should be created from this phase four, to acquire acts of bestowal, so that through him the world would exist in the desired measure of correction. This is why he “associated the quality of mercy with the quality of judgment.” Explanation: the Sefira of Bina is called the quality of mercy, and the Sefira of Malchut is called the quality of judgment, since the restriction were made on her. The Emanator raised the quality of judgment, which is the force of Sium made in the Sefira of Malchut, and raised it to Bina – the quality of mercy. He associated them with one another, and through this association – phase four, the quality of judgment – was incorporated with the sparks of bestowal and the vessel of Bina. This qualified Adam’s Guf, which emerged from phase four, to be incorporated with the quality of bestowal, too. Thus, he will be able to perform good deeds in order to bestow contentment upon his maker until he inverts the quality of reception in him to work entirely in order to bestow. Thus, the world will achieve the desired correction for which the world was created.
2. S. (09:46) So the question for the first section of the portion; a state came and it seems that the state cannot bring to a correction, and the Creator has involved Himself in the process and it seems that the quality of mercy has to be involved in this process. What happened until now and why, because it’s illogical to say that there’s some new thought, so what does it need to undergo, this process in order to now participate in the quality of mercy?
R. It is required for the will to receive to be revealed that will not let the created being to ever be in the connection with the Creator and when this was revealed, the solution was also revealed. That we specifically, in order to bring the connection between Bina and Malchut, we have to reach a state where they come closer to each other, and then in them, the contradiction and the shattering will be revealed between them. When the will to receive in Bina and the will to receive in Malchut are different desires and so, they come to this incorporation.
S. This is the answer. I wanted to understand what we acquired through the process up to that point and here there’s an involvement from above, that a state that is completely, entirely broken, where they’re two opposite, two desires and from here, we need to advance somehow and it seems that there’s help from above?
R. Yes, a shattering is a true help from above, without that there will never be a connection between two desires.
3. S. (12:25) If I understand correctly, twice the light hits the vessel and creates two separate things, the first time he creates the restriction from shame and the second is precisely when SAG comes down to the entire vessel and creates something new, that it’s called the second restriction. What is the purpose of the second restriction if the purpose of the first restriction is to separate Malchut from the desire to receive, from the quality of bestowal and what is the purpose of the second?
R. To connect the two, to bind them.
S. Meaning for there to be mutual work?
