Passover – Selected Excerpts from the Sources. (Mortar and Bricks. #100)
1. Rav’s Introduction: (0:17) Mortar and bricks, this is actually all that we need to process in order to reach an advancement towards the Creator, hard work in mortar and bricks this is our will to receive that brings us to forms of its resistance in order to get closer to the Creator. Well, let’s read, let’s listen to what our teachers tell us.
Reading excerpt #100. (0:55) “They made their lives bitter..”
2. R. (03:06) From the time of Abraham when people started wanting to come and connect with him in order to connect to the upper force to get to know it, feel it and until today this is hard work. Because in order to get closer to spirituality we have to let go of corporeality meaning to make corporal reality such that it won’t follow us away, that it won’t lock us in, that it won’t enclose us with, in this world and this is how we should try to work all the time. And so our work is as it is written, in bricks and mortar, meaning in the will to receive whose intention is in order to receive and we have to whiten it, meaning to turn it to be in order to bestow and this is certainly hard work and for that we were given the group the ten, the connection with the Creator and our study which we do each and every day. And from that we reach the Creator until we discover Him and until we truly get to know Him and we rise to His degree as it is written, ‘Return our Israel to the Lord your God. That’s it and therefore, we have to accept the path this way.
3. S. (05:08) You talk now about the fact that our desires to receive push us to corporeality. How can we in such a way use a device that will show us that we are distancing too much, is there something that we can measure the distance with?
R. We simply have to be among the friends to the extent that I balance myself with the ten, to that extent I balance myself with the Creator and I’m in the most balanced, most correct state in the spiritual system. Let us make our nearing in such a way and then we will not be wrong.
4. S. (06:08) What is the meaning that they wanted to work for the sake of the Creator, they wanted to take upon themselves the burden of the Kingdom of Heaven but didn’t manage to do so?
R. It’s that they wanted to work in order to bestow but they could not. And as much as they tried and tried and tried, just like we are now in such a state where we come to the lessons, we connect between us, we try as much as we are capable of course to be close to each other to build groups and so on. But nevertheless, we see that seemingly we are not advancing and each and every day does not bring us any success.
This is of course incorrect that this is how it seems to us and the Creator does so deliberately. He gives us this feeling that we are not succeeding so that we will begin to turn to Him even more, to ask Him or to cry it out and to connect between us. That’s on the one hand and on the other hand, so that we will begin to work in bestowal so that even though I am not receiving anything but if it says that I have to connect with the friends and we should yearn together, to be ‘as one man, with one heart,’ then I do it even though I won’t see even the next coming degree, I am willing to be on this degree in whatever the Creator wants me to be. This is how we work.
S. Is the difficulty of the work this complexity of the work of the bestowal does not disappear there is this feeling from the excerpt that as they exited Egypt the difficulty of bestowal disappears?
R. When we get the power of the bestowal, the power of love between us, certainly our work changes, it changes greatly. It becomes work which is above matter. But nevertheless, the form of the work remains like that until the end of correction. That we have to constantly rise and rise and rise above our will to receive and it also constantly grows otherwise we won’t have what to overcome, otherwise we won’t have what to rise above until we rise to the degree of the Creator we constantly get disturbances, disturbances, disturbances and we overcome. How can we rise above them in all kinds of different forms and manners and this is our work.
S. What is the Exodus from Egypt if it always remains?
R. The exit from Egypt is that we exist in our will to receive in order to receive and we are able to already work in order to bestow with that same will to receive that we went out with. This is considered that we take from the Egyptians everything that we had there and we start to work above it in order to bestow. The will to receive in order to receive means that we are in Egypt, we rise above it, this means that we exit Egypt and we begin to work with the will to receive in order to bestow, this is the Exodus from Egypt and onward through the desert to the land of Israel as it is called, a place where we can aim to the Creator to in order to bestow we can aim our desire. Okay?
S. It’s not so clear but I think we will scrutinize more.
R. Well look at these questions and add any order that you see fit and start asking these questions.
5. S. (10:58) On our path it’s clear that I need to see the importance of the Creator in my friends. Now I think the other way around how can I constantly bring forth examples and importance of the goal to the friends and I don’t want it if I feel an ascent or descent: how should I do it?
R. You are speaking in Hebrew very nicely already. What we need to show as an example to the friends of how much we yearn towards bestowal, love and connection between us and that’s it, just to be an example in the study and also in the relations between us and by that we automatically get out of Egypt.
S. I have fear. I think if I am advancing correctly then I constantly have this fear: is that good or not good?
R. It’s correct, it’s correct and it’s absolutely fine. A person should always be like that. Is it okay, is it not okay, how much I am, how much I am not? You should always have these doubts and by that you go through all kinds of scrutinies, you correct all kinds of small desires until they all accumulate and become already great degrees of ascent. You should continue and you will succeed for sure. I love you.
6. S. (13:26) Is it possible to rise in severity, in Homer and Levanim [white] by receiving ourselves?
R. Well, ensure that it will be okay.
7. S. (13:53) What’s the connection between whiteness and Levenim and Bricks?
R. Levenim Bricks are stones from which we build, that’s it.
S. What’s the connection to whiteness here that it talks about and the bricks?
R. That’s how it is, that’s the color white.
S. Why is the action of the Egyptians considered white compared to the work that we need to go through?
R. Because one is the will to receive the other is the will to bestow and as much as it seems to them that you’re working with bricks and mortar Homer it means Humra [severity] we will learn about what exactly is the work of the Egyptian.
S. How can this work, our work be so beautiful and clean?
R. No, don’t stop poking in here with your philosophy.
S. It’s not philosophy, it is just written in the text.
R. Whatever is written there that’s what’s there for the time being let’s just relate to it like that.
8. S. (15:25) The work in order to bestow is really hard or is it that the Egyptians are making it hard for us?
R. What does it matter how difficult or not difficult with respect to the one that we are talking about? This is what it is, bricks and mortar means hard work for those who want to get out of Egypt, for those who are aiming to get closer to the Creator it is hard work.
S. I’m asking because if we know how Egyptians are operating maybe we will do a campaign that is opposite of that. Maybe we can work in an opposite way?
R. I don’t understand your head. Seemingly you want to twist and turn everything you should get the explanation as it is written in the book accept that as an explanation. Why does it say about the work in Egypt that it is hard work with the bricks and the mortar, it means to take the will to receive which is the mortar, to whiten it, to make it work in order to bestow. Right, whiten it, make it white, this is very hard work. And a person who understands that this is what he has before him he feels that he is truly in exile, that he is as a slave and he cannot get out of it he cannot get rid of it and such a time when he feels in this way is called the slavery in Egypt.
S. Is it the Egyptians that are telling this to the person that they should take the will to receive and it’s very difficult, it’s saying that hard work is continuing from the Egyptians always telling him the matter of the severity that there is in the work of bestowing?
R. Yes, it is all very hard. The Egyptians are inside of a person, inside of the person, inside of you. They tell you that this is hard work and it’s not worthwhile for you to approach it.
9. S. (17:42) When I work on love of friends, in the end after everything I get a lot of pleasure from it and it’s good for me. The question is, is it worthwhile to receive this pleasure or not?
R. If it is in order to bestow yes, if it is in order to receive no: what is the question even?
S. Does it block me? Is it like a feeling like something ends and you get pleasure and something that stopped there?
R. Well then apparently it is wrong.
10. S. (18:29) What is the meaning of where it is written that from one who fears the Lord extends Israel’s failure, what are those failures that he’s talking about here?
R. That from the fear of the Lord comes the mishap. The failure of Israel means that those who say that we should be afraid and stay away from this work will cause failure to Israel, to those who do want to connect to the Creator to come closer to Him.
Reading excerpt #101. (19:15) “It follows that the meaning of..”
11. R. (20:02) Yes this is the main problem in Egypt that as much as we work, as much as they work, they could not see that they are coming closer to the exit they are moving. They don’t have that feeling and that sight and therefore, they seemingly remained trapped in Egypt. And this is the feeling of the exile. This means that when we are now, let’s say in a state where we want to reach connection between us and through the connection between us, to have a connection with the Creator it turns out that we discover it is impossible and it would be better to just stay as it is. Just like our friends who are with us and left and they run away back to the ordinary life, like the whole of humanity.
And only those who disagree with that it is possible to simply come out and keep searching or in which form can I connect with the Creator and discover Him and run away from my inner Egypt that I feel myself that I am in order to receive in a dark world, in a state where there is no future. If I look at the world in this way then bit by bit I come out. I feel that the Creator is delivering me from this state. And those few individuals from the whole of humanity, from the billions of people who wanted to rise in their attainment, in their feeling of reality that they want to rise above what everyone feels. They bit by bit, find the way, the possibility the means for how to rise above this feeling of reality that we feel and to begin to discover forces, the forces that operate our reality and between them the Creator all in all the general system and this is how we reach what we call the next world which is not about bodies or the corporeal laws but rather spiritual forces already.
12. S. (23:20) I want to connect more with my friends and then each time I discover more that […]
13. S. (24:04) How do I rise from my Egypt to augment the importance of the friends and the group on one hand, and then on the other hand how do I play with my feelings in order to see the greatness of the friends despite what I feel in me?
R. I need to realize that on my own I have no possibility, there’s no system that can elevate me on my own to the degree of the Creator. But rather it is only us together, if we are connected together to the extent that each one knows himself and connects with the others then he gets hold of the others and they elevate him, like an elevator.
This is how each and every one of us should try to rise. It comes from annulling himself towards the friends, where the friends are like an elevator, it’s a group that elevates him and he only needs to annul before them and we already learnt from Rabash’s articles also about Rabbi Yossi Ben Kisma and also by others, also Baal HaSulam. That if a person annuls himself in such a way then the group around him already works in such a way that it elevates him and he begins to feel the higher reality and in this way more and more and more.
14. S. (25:58) When Israel places a screen, this filter that is above the will to receive causes the freeing from the control of the Egyptians, he doesn’t need to work with a will to receive any more, is that right?
R. Well, that’s right, but maybe he has a greater will to receive because he went up to the second floor. If I asked for an ascent that I want to be more in order to bestow and I performed actions where I adhere to the friends and together with them I ascended through the second floor. Then now when I am on the second floor I begin to receive an opportunity for a greater will to receive and then I ask on top of it to raise me to the third floor, with an even greater connection with the friends. This is how it is more and more and each time when I rise from one level to the next I discover the Creator more clearly, more closely and I adhere to the friends and through them to the Creator. And I understand and I feel the upper reality and all the forces that operate in it and how many causes and results are here for the whole of reality in this world and also in the higher world, it all becomes more and more clear and more felt.
S. But we, when we have our Rav that leads us and we are with this screen, this filtering, aren’t we like Moses who takes us and leads us over to Passover?
R. Yes, this is true. If we want to exit there in order to receive, exit this world in order to bestow to the upper world, the next world, then we need to connect between us and ask of the Creator that we will deliver us from the exile in the will to receive in order to receive, to a higher desire, bestowal. And then when we ask, ultimately the Creator does it. It’s not immediately but rather when we truly ask, so it takes us a little bit of time. Until we ask and until he hears us and this is how we begin to ascend. This is called the Exodus from Egypt that we begin to feel that we are no longer 100-percent inside of our will to receive in order to receive called Egypt, but rather we are already in a desire in order to bestow to some extent, to some extent and this is considered that we are outside of Egypt and this is how we come out, we rise from one world to the next world; from the lower world to the upper world.
15. S. (30:22) Is there some form of elevator that we can go directly without stopping on the steps and getting to the end? The technique of ascending, if we see that a friend is in a descent, how to raise him up?
R. Well even though we can’t know what the friend is asking, even if he will tell us he himself doesn’t know what he’s asking, what to ask for, who to ask. We are still under concealment in darkness but nevertheless, if this is what we want to do and to help each other even in our dark state nevertheless, help each other in that and we all begin to rise.
16. S. (31:40) On the second floor, the Creator that we feel in the ten which talks between us we start to feel also in reality? He wants us to be heard also in reality?
R. Of course, yes.
17. S. (32:15) Please help scrutinize when we try to raise the spiritual above the corporeal then you can hear three things that I don’t really understand: One is that there is no flaw, there is no Torah, the importance of the corporeality of the friend is my spirituality and another thing is that there are those big souls that it is hard for them and therefore, you cannot raise spirituality above corporeality. It seems like we are not really understanding these verses and we are using them to justify our weaknesses meaning, leave me alone I need to engage in corporeality right now, materialism, I don’t know how to respond to that?
R. We need to try to live in this world with everything that there is in it. We have to be married with a wife and children, with work even if you have money. It doesn’t matter work and to care for everyone for the whole family and along with that to learn how to rise from this world in which you were born which is only the first degree in which we are born, how to rise to a higher world, to Atzilut. Atzilut means in Him with Him. In Him means that this is where the Creator is and this is what we need to do. We need to help each other according to what is written and one shall help his friend with the love of friends and with all of these conditions and in that we need to help each other to rise up to adhesion with the Creator up to the very last degree and it all depends only on the degree of adhesion amongst us to return to be ‘as one man, with one heart’ to the form of one man in one heart. That’s it.
S. Yes, thank you. That’s more or less understood but it turns out that when you hear such a thing it’s actually making the work harder?
R. Well, many things make the work harder there’s not much you can do about it if you want to receive everything with a clear language that it will even sit inside of your mind and emotions etc. of course, it’s all as a burden but it is all done deliberately in order for us to ask so that we will try to invest efforts, that’s the most important this is what is counted what is calculated in order to give us the spiritual degree.
18. S. (36:00) A person advances for years in the work and already knows the voices of the Egyptians before every act of connection. Why do these voices let’s say not calm down, why do they even increase, intensify?
R. I don’t ask why because these are just questions that are a waste of time and effort, it’s a shame that I’m even asking. The Creator made it so that’s it I accept this creation as it is. What would it help me? How would it help a little baby who is now lying down, it doesn’t know how to do anything if he will start asking, even if we will have asked correctly and wisely will it help it? No, he needs to grow up and then he will know what to do.
S. What do we answer as a grown up to the Egyptians?
R. As a grown up you answer that you don’t want to hear their voice this is called strike its teeth.
19. S. (37:30) We are praying for your health. Thank you for allowing us to ask. In excerpt number 101, you said that the most important thing is our effort and we cannot do anything against the Egyptians and this is the exile but at the same time to come out of Egypt. Pharaoh is the one who delivers us out of Egypt so it turns out we don’t invest any effort. Where is our work?
R. Our efforts are in compelling the Creator to release us from here. All our efforts are in order to obligate the Creator to take us out of Egypt.
20. S. (39:17) There is this feeling that one who studies for a long time like my friends in the ten they are in a very long standby state and they don’t have the urge to reach a true prayer and only the group can do it together, or should a person make up his mind once and for all that I am only asking for pure bestowal and my whole life is for that. Which manner can we make this escape, or is this some kind of accumulated action or is there some kind of effort that we can do?
R. We need to think about that within you and then later ask and say and talk about it.
S. Is it possible in some manner to accept corporeality as coarseness?
R. No, corporeality is corporeality. We need to think about this. We need to know about this and to try and solve this problem to the extent in which it is necessary.
21. S. (41:02) Our spiritual development is an addition to what exists already or is it changing what exists already?
R. An addition.
S. What’s the difference between growing in the will to receive and spiritual development?
R. It depends upon which addition, if the addition is spiritual coarseness or corporeal coarseness. Your neighbor wants another million, that is an addition in corporeal coarseness and you want to rise to the opposite to be purified. You want spiritual development, spiritual coarseness.
S. Does it feel differently or […]?
R. Of course it’s different. There’s nothing to even ask here. Take another minute and you won’t have what to ask.
22. S. (42:25) Every effort we sink in Egypt even more. It seems like it is better if the person doesn’t do anything. Why does it look like this?
R. That’s your ego, your will to receive is telling you that that it is not worthwhile to exert, it will come on its own. That there is no problem that will be and your effort is nevertheless, not doing anything and that’s not correct. Specifically through the work in our exertion we receive the exit, the entrance into the upper world. That’s how it is.
23. S. (43:25) If a person is in a state of choice and he has to choose whether it’s either his life or the study of the wisdom of Kabbalah and he chooses the wisdom of Kabbalah, can we say that this is the exodus from Egypt?
R. Yes, you can call it the exit from.
S. Meaning this is an important choice?
R. Yes, this is a serious choice.
S. Can the Creator bring a person back to Egypt?
R. The Creator can take everything in the absolute manner but if a person leaves the path the Creator can lower him to any degree of what he went through.
24. S. (44:55) You said that the Creator can actually bring us down to any degree now it is felt that he added some desire and you said that we need to ask of the Creator that he will bring us out of Egypt, so how can we ask correctly so that we only ask for the friends that they will rise, so how can I come out of thoughts that are only about myself?
R. We need to turn to the Creator to draw us to Him even though each time the egoistic desires are being raised in us more and more.
S. How to ask correctly?
R. With your words very simply from all your heart, as much as possible.
25. S. (45:57) These Egyptian desires they clothe in all kinds of rejection that the Creator sends us and we come across them through the friends, so how can we work for the sake of connection?
R. That we despite that, we want to be together and we ask of the Creator to raise us all to a higher degree to bestowal, to love of others, that is what we need to ask for, even though we don’t quite have much of a desire for it we should constantly think about it and that is called coming from not for her sake to for her sake.
26. S. (47:00) How can I help the friends to accept it, that whatever comes to them in a very strong way recently it is actually only for their development so the friends won’t shut down because this is actually helpful for the development and the growth of the entire ten and that the friend will relate to it as There’s None Else Besides Him.
R. Just like you told us now, tell the Creator and it will succeed.
Reading item 102 (47:35): “When he begins to enter the…”
27. S. (49:09) The question is why is Egypt a comfortable place but at the same time it’s slavery and servitude. Why at the same time is it a comfortable place and slavery?
R. It’s a comfortable place because we’re acquainted with it, we’re working within the will to receive and we understand all the rules and what happens, that’s why Egypt is a good place, seemingly a comfortable place but anyone who wants to start to feel that he wants to come out of there for him Egypt is being held with force, in a certain request which is called this world, and he wants to rise from the degree of this world to the degree of bestowal and the acquaintance of the Creator he has a problem and he sees that he is not let to do this and then the feeling of Exile begins in him. Then he starts to work more and then he’s not given and then he feels in this world in prison and then his work begins, how do I run away from this prison and how do I ask whoever it depends upon to be given the opportunity to exit and this is how we eventually emerge through the requests, cries, prayers and mostly we do it together.
28. S. (51:22) We say that most of our work when we do not feel any results it accumulates. Can we say that also in the work of annulment that as much as possible I make an effort to annul before the friends, so the more times I accumulate I succeed and then eventually I will be able to annul.
R. Yes, it works like that for sure.
S. It doesn’t matter in who it manifests, let’s say I tried to annul before one friend, a second friend, a third friend and suddenly against one friend it does.
R. It could be so, yes.
29. S. (52:20) I wanted to ask in the excerpt we read just now it writes that a person when he enters the work of Lishma, he begins to descend into Egypt the body begins to betray him it does not let him apply this work. Why does the body resist so much?
R. Because he is an opposite nature.
S. How do you go forward if your whole nature resists?
R. Because you have a point in the heart that cannot tolerate being in the will to receive, it feels itself as being there in a prison.
S. How does this process work: what exactly goes into Egypt, the point in the heart, what goes into Egypt?
R. The point in the heart enters and feels itself as being in Egypt.
S. With all these discernments in Egypt it constantly puts you in a question of do you really want to bestow or not, and there is constantly more and more burden on this point?
R. Yes, that is the real correct question.
S. How to constantly decide, shift, that I want to bestow, that this is what is stronger?
R. By you coming near the friends and wanting to help them as this becomes the main thing that you are helping them exit Egypt.
S. It’s just that I also hear you repeating many times especially in these lessons than many friends find themselves specifically at that point not willing to go all the way for bestowal and then they leave the path, so the question that I’m trying to get to is what is the environment that allows you to go through Egypt?
R. That you want to adhere to them only in the one force that is inside of you and they are performing their work upon you on our behalf and this is how you all together exit as a group one cannot run alone.
S. Our efforts should be on what?
R. On being together.
S. Okay, so we are together and being together this enables us to amplify the point in the heart?
R. Yes, yes from one lesson to the other, from day to day we feel ourselves, although it’s not so clear for each and everyone but we feel that we are closer, that we understand better what it is to be connected to one another, what does it mean to be supportive one another, and this is how we correct ourselves.
S. How if we thought we should, how can we identify, how do we detect that indeed in our work we are coming closer to bestowal?
R. The more I’m thinking about the ten which is closer to the Creator and not me, but rather all of us together, that’s for me the examination.
30. S. (56:20) How can I help the friends come out of Egypt?
R. By asking for them, turning to the Creator and asking. That is the first thing, the prayer, and the second thing is by you supporting them by giving them an example as much as possible meaning both corporally and spiritually. On the spiritual level it’s mostly through prayer to the Creator, on the corporeal level it’s mostly by example.
S. And helping the friends come out of Egypt, does that also deliver me out of Egypt?
R. Yes, of course because you are within Him and you’re the last. And if it’s these and those that I’m asking for, and for me, and for us as we pray.
31. S. (57:26) On what point should I hinge this request to the Creator to deliver us out of Egypt? My friends are not coming out of Egypt because of what? Because I’m not successful, because He does not want to deliver them, what am I asking for?
R. They are not exiting because you are not asking, upon that point.
S. I should ask the Creator to give me a desire to ask for them?
R. The desire and the strength to ask for the friends so that they will exit Egypt. You are Moses towards them.
32. S. (58:12) We asked many questions, sometimes you give us questions in order for us to work with them, so that we will search for the answers on their own. And maybe we’ll study the preface soon, so should we change anything in our questions?
R. Why?
S. I don’t know. Maybe we should think more.
R. Each just needs to scrutinize what he’s asking, so the question will come out of him.
S. Is it okay that you answer a quick question like this, or is it okay to have these questions because it seems like we get more and more of them?
R. No, no we need to continue, don’t dig in that.
33. S. (58:58) When there are times when searching for a reward it actually helps a person to advance and he becomes complacent and then suddenly searching for reward pushes you away, so what makes you stop looking for a reward?
R. Replace the reward. There’s no work without reward. It’s not sane. Only the insane person can do something without reward, he has some thought, a loop in his head that obligates him. But a person cannot do anything without a goal.
S. But it is felt that this reward of receiving in order to receive, it gets a person stuck in all kinds of opportunities, so what kind of reward should we be looking for?
R. What you’re searching for, I don’t know. You need to scrutinize what exactly you want to have as a reward from your exertion.
34. S. (01:00:13) What is the difference between Egypt and their corporeal life that pulls me in all kinds of different directions and the friends and their hardships and difficulties have been difficult? What is the difficulty of Egypt back then and today?
R. The recognition of evil, that if you know exactly what is bothering you in your life that you cannot reveal the Creator because that is your goal. There is such a disturbance that’s standing before you, as it does not let you come closer to the Creator. This disturbance is called Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and your state is that you exist there in Egypt and your goal, your first goal is to exit Egypt.
S. To emphasize their recognition of Egypt among the friends and push them, pull them forward to present to them the bricks, what we have to reach, this is all I can do to emphasize the gap?
R. Yes, yes, yes, yes.
35. S. (01:01:14) I have desired that the work will be easy for my friends so that they will not feel that it’s hard and or impossible. What can I do to help them?
R. To pray. Do your work and pray for their friends.
S. In the ten should we have an atmosphere that the work is easy and that the goal is near or what?
R. Yes, if you were together and praying to the One Creator and you are together then the work is not hard.
36. S. (01:02:43) Maybe I can ask about Egypt from a different perspective, maybe it is good in Egypt but it is impossible to stay there, it is intolerable, we want to go back home. Can we say that the measure of the light between us is what delivers us from this jail?
R. You can say that for the time being.
S. Nevertheless, what kind of wave of energy should deliver us out? In one of your tweets, I read that it’s a tsunami of love that brings us beyond the barrier?
R. Try, try.
37. S. (01:03:41) If someone begins the work and he imagines and feels all kinds of objectives that preceded him joining the friends, what can you do?
R. Just continue to give examples to the friends.
38. S. (01:04:18) With all the conditions that are similarly identical, that we are in the study we are still different. The root of our souls is different and when the light operates on us we see that the response that each one has is different according to the way that the light operates so what does it mean that we have to come together? Is it my intention? What does this together mean?
R. Yes, everyone that’s the name to the same place in the Creator and then everything will succeed.
39. S. (01:05:05) In quote 21, what does it mean and they made their life bitter?
R. Meaning that they will give a lot of force to the disturbance in all their efforts to come closer to the Creator.
40. S. (01:05:54) I feel that all the questions that I’d ask they’re all prayers, requests for prayer and the only thing that I was thinking about is how do you use the questions that the friends are asking as a point of connection through prayers?
R. That we want to answer the questions and together is already called a prayer. When we turn to the Creator with this then it is truly a direct prayer to the Creator and we ask for the answer. This is how we get the connection between us and the Creator who arranges this connection for us is in the connection and then we come to a connection between us.
Reading #103 (01:07:36) “We must walk on two lines, meaning on the right line too..” twice
41. S. (01:11:13) I ask for my friends constantly and regularly but I noticed that I’m asking fewer times with the lower frequency, I don’t want it to be this way, what can I do, should I ask the Creator that I would always be in a request?
R. You need to adhere to the friends more and together with them talk and refine your collective appeal to the Creator.
42. S. (01:12:23) How can we get to know the Creator through the recognition of evil?
R. We cannot get to know the Creator through the revelation of evil but we can run from the evil and that’s already coming closer to the Creator, but in an opposite way. We need to critique the evil and understand the evil and understand where the Creator is relative to it, and to continue in the direction of the Creator, and to understand through the revelation of evil it also brings us closer to Him, only not in a short direct manner, in the direction to Him.
43. S. (01:13:54) It speaks here about the right line and the left line and the exodus from Egypt are we in that same order that most of the time we are on the right line and only half an hour we’re on the left line?
R. No, those are higher degrees already, but it is correct this way.
S. Can I ask more precisely so if we spend more time on the left line is that okay?
R. It’s not good but we need to be cautious to be in the right line more.
44. S. (01:14:43) Why don’t we see the results of the work if we’re working for the Creator every day and we don’t see anything from it?
R. You need to ask for the Creator first of all and the second thing is when you ask for the answer you understand whether you’re working correctly or not maybe you don’t deserve what you should deserve, I don’t know, but ask.
S. If our work is correct will we see results?
R. You need to scrutinize everything.
S. What results should our work bring?
R. Whatever you want, whatever you want to see from this work whatever you yearn for, if you don’t you’re in for anything, then don’t ask because you have nothing more to ask for, whatever you want to receive as a result from the work as a reward, ask for that.
45. S. (01:16:14) To continue with the friend’s question regarding the environment, it’s not just connection it’s all kinds of subtleties in the connection between us. On one hand a person has to cling to the environment and open his heart to the work on the other hand the friends have to enter his open heart and do something there. It’s clear here that they create the request there, is it at the quality of Moses that you operate on a person but how do we connect in those efforts to lift the friends?
R. Ask about that as well, you need to ask for everything.
46. S. (01:17:26) How can I help my friends if they tell me, leave us alone, we enjoy what we’re doing can’t you see how happy we are and enjoying ourselves?
R. You don’t have anything to turn to them for, just ask of the Creator that He gives them some questions and takes them out of the lack of care.
Subtopic: For Lack of Spirit and for Hard Work.
Reading excerpt number 104. (01:18:35) “Hard Work means that it is Difficult…”
47. R. (01:19:24) This is really a new topic, we’re going to probably start it tomorrow and we will go on. For now we’re going to do a little break.
