1. Rav’s Introduction: (0:19) Yes, we are continuing the material begins to be more dense more serious more goal-oriented we have to try to find it correctly meaning that it comes to us in order to help us get organized both in terms of a tighter, denser connection between us and also in that we need to see where we are are, the person, the group and The Creator in such a way that man transcends his nature to connect to others and see with them, through mutual bestowal. We have to think of not how I raise myself above my nature but how we all together raise ourselves above our nature. Let’s read and see what’s going on here. Let’s not run but try to understand each detail of what he explains to us here.

Reading excerpt 40 (2:00): “The refinement of the Masach which occurs in the Partzuf..” twice.

2. S. (5:40) In this excerpt he’s talking about the vessel and the screen, it seems like it is the same thing as that, how it is, what does it mean the vessel of the screen and the vessel of faith?

R. It’s the same thing, the same thing. a person who rejects and doesn’t want to receive in his ordinary vessel of reception, he rejects the forces of fulfillment the light the reason that wants to appear he doesn’t agree with such a direct way of working with his will to receive. He wants to express his bestowal upon the Creator and then it turns out that the main thing is to activate this resistance and the more he activates the resistance the more the light comes to some calculation with him, how much he he resists and how much the light resists and at some place there is an equivalence between them and then it appears as the force of the light within the force of the vessel through the resistance of the vessel and and the concession on the part of the light and so it turns out that the light fills the vessel and they don’t cancel each other out but actually hold each other.

S. How do they meet, meaning this nullification from the side of the creature, this lack of desire to betow from himself and then the light, how do they meet?

R. Because no one wants to give up towards the other the Creator doesn’t want to give something to the created being without a cover, the created being doesn’t want to receive from The Creator as a guest from the house but only through a cover so then in between them there is a mutual agreement like the example of the host and the guest and so they appear to agree to a certain extent, to a certain degree, to each receive from each other and give to each other and so this calculation is made and that’s what is called the head of the face the beginning of the connection between them.

S. We are starting somehow to guess what this mutual place is?

R. We have to try to organize such relationships, yes.

3. S. (9:22) It is not clear in the passage that when the light fills the vessel, at that same moment the vessel stops being a vessel of faith and becomes a vessel of knowledge?

R. They don’t cancel out what was before they continue.

4. S. (9:58) Why will the abundance not stop from him if we don’t put the screen over?

R. R. The Masach, screen, which organizes the will to receive, it gradually becomes refined by the influence of the light on it, that’s what we mean by the screen gradually disappearing so as much as it received the light in order to bestow the screen then weakens the intention to bestow, it’s resistance and so the light leaves the Kli and that’s what we call the refinement of the screen.

6. S. (13:18) I hope I have enough pieces in order to explain myself. Is it a parallel between the upper and the lower where the lower yearns for this meeting with the Creator and the Creator is waiting for him and there is this kind of a difference and the screen is a kind of device that receives the force of the Creator, of the upper one but it is such a great force that the lower one is not able to receive it or can’t receive it where there is inequivalence of form where he’s this kind of agent, it’s something that can absorb it and receive from the upper oe what he wants to give?

R. Ultimately what you say is correct, that the screen connect the upper one and the lower one, gives the lower one the possibility to bestow to the upper one and the upper one the possibility to bestow to the lower one so each one balances himself in a certain way towards the other the upper one towards the lower one and the lower one towards the upper one and this is the work of the mutual screen.

7. S. (15:16) When a ten has a desire to be more and more concerned about the Creator’s enjoyment, how does that affect the emergence? What impact does that have on the emergence of a face?

R. What is the emergence of the face? I don’t understand.

S. Meaning how does it impact? You said that when we hold the screen, you said something about developing the Rosh of the Partzuf when we are able to think about the Creator in place of being knowledgeable.

R. We, after we receive from the Creator what he gives and by that the vessel purifies, the screen is refined and so we come to a new state where once again we have a meeting between the screen and the upper light or the Creator and the created being and so then once again they need to settle the relationship between them. What the guest or the created being will receive from the host and how much and so again there is a beating between them first and then a coupling, a connection, and then a decision how much to receive in order to bestow and then it continues. Maybe I am not understanding the question but this is what happens there.

8. S. (17:41) So now in this present state that we are in right now can we somehow use what is written here in this passage where it says that the light brings knowledge. How is that expressed in the ten? There needs to be some kind of indicator here. Can we build some kind of practical situation where we can somehow know that this knowledge awakened within us and we need to pay attention to it and rise above it and do something else like a restriction?

R. We do it, of course. You are saying this, is the vessel doing some early actions, initial actions to make contact with the light and somehow be compatible with the light. Of course there is first a rejection, resistance and then calculation and in that calculation they already work according to the discernments left in them from previous actions and that’s how they move towards a state where they can make some action together of receiving in order to bestow. What does the vessel do with that and what the light does with that so they are suitable for each other and enter a coupling of striking. In that coupling they are opposite, they are in contrast, that’s why they are striking or beating but along with it there is also coupling and so that’s what happens to us in spirituality which doesn’t happen in any other realm where two opposite things go into a union between them.

S. But practically, how can we reveal it in a way of knowing it, we have to make daily scrutinies? How do we know that it is coming that we have to do the next restriction?

R. I don’t understand where do you want to use all of these spiritual formulas, where? At home in the kitchen, where?

S. No in the ten, we are speaking about it, we are discussing it in our work in the ten, we are discussing it now. So we can lets say see a signal that knowledge is revealed to us, what should we pay attention to so that we can understand that here this is the knowledge that came so now we have to make a restriction?

R. This will be a result of the connection between the upper and the lower one, the result of the connection between the upper and the lower and the connection will come from that status of one opposite the other. We will continue and you will understand. I think that by the end of today’s lesson this will be made clear to us.

9. S. (21:44) When this connection occurs between the light and the vessel and you can’t avoid it and we need to feel it in the connection between us, so every time that we feel it in a higher frequency and in a stronger way does it become more tense and requires more effort or does it become more relaxed, less tense?

R. More tense.

10. S. (22:16) I’m a little confused here about the upper because I hear that on one hand the screen is purified, is refined and also from what you said here and also from TES we see that it becomes less and less so when does it disappear and when does it not disappear in connection to our work?

R. According to the decision of the vessel, according to the decision of the vessel. Typically the vessel turns to the upper one and asks for a screen, the force to resist, to overcome the force of equivalence of form with the upper one otherwise the lower one disappears, is canceled, and the upper one gives the lower one power and understanding, insights what to do in order to set up the balance between them: how much the host gives to the guest and how much the guest can receive from the host in order to bestow.

11. S. (23:55) We see that whenever the light appears then it purifies the vessel and so the vessel is increased in faith, so according to these conditions what does it mean that the vessel is fulfilled and what does it mean that it is purified, refined?

R. We will get there, yes. A few more examples and you will understand, don’t rush.

12. S. (24:43) How can we convince ourselves that working above reason is more important than working within reason?

R. We receive this from a few places. First of all when we are unsuccessful in our work within reason to attain some things in our connection with the Creator and between us and understanding where we are, we can’t understand what the Kabbalists write to us if we don’t have vessels of faith above reason. We can’t and we begin to think where is the vessel? Where is the Kli, the key to the spiritual world, how do we enter the sensation of the upper world? And then we hear that there is the matter of faith above reason; meaning, that we can work with, we can move from our side of the court to the Creator’s side and this is called working in faith above reason. how to do it?

This is what they explain to us here that I am not thinking about reception but about bestowal and how to be connected to the upper one and how to be connected to the upper one through the friends and thus we get closer to the matter of bestowal, the matter of the power of bestowal, the power of faith and so we begin to sense that there is a matter of the formation of the screen, the formation of the screen within us and how with this screen we can connect to the upper force and work with him as me for my beloved and my beloved for me, which means in a mutual way, which means that the screen both separates us and connects us. We will learn that, it all accumulates bit-by-bit.

13. S. (28:00) At times there are states where the feeling of disagreement is strong and sometimes it’s weak, what allows us to increase the resistance?

R. So what does it mean to be in a higher degree?

R. I don’t understand this philosophy

S. So the knowledge compels us to go to the next degree?

R. Yes.

15. S. (29:43) How are the actions of connection in the ten connected to the screen?

R. Actions of connection in the ten build the screen. They are not just related to the screen they actually build the screen, if you make all kinds of actions in your group where you are connecting to each other even with the will to receive and each one somewhat expresses the will to receive, still you will feel that there is some common force between you that helps you work. It is similar to, let’s say, collecting money from each one in the ten and then with that money you can buy something for yourselves, something common, shared. Similarly we gather the forces of the screen and about that it says a penny joins another penny until there is a great sum total.

16. S. (31:10) How do you put a screen over the knowledge?

R. I don’t cancel the knowledge or do anything with it. I just don’t want to take it into account now because I want to rise by the power of faith, meaning the power of bestowal.

17. S. (31:47) I wanted to ask about the first step here about this process of the restriction. This whole process it starts from the fact that we have this connection in the ten and the greatness of the Creator, this is the reason that we have to enter into this whole business that we have here and then after I have the greatness of the Creator and we are working on the connection between us is there is some stage where the creature needs to decide not to receive from the Creator even though there is greatness of the Creator so he says no, no, I’m not going to receive from the Creator. It sounds like on one hand audacious and on the other hand as something that saddens the created being. Is that correct?

R. I think that’s where they begin their relationship, where each one wants to give to the other and giving to the other means not receiving from the other, so if it’s clear on the side of the upper one, on behalf of the lower one it should appear as an agreement to it

S. But how from the greatness of the Creator so I decide not to receive from him? I understand the process, yes, restriction, screen, reflected light, in my mind I understand it, theoretically understand it but then we have the greatness of the Creator, in such a high degree I am ready to do a restriction but then I am not receiving from him? I don’t know, it seems like I am not able to understand, how do I increase the greatness of the Creator?

R. Because by not receiving from Him you position yourself opposite Him and you want to enter the next level of your connection, of the correct connection.

S. And this is nice in his eyes, he accept that?

R. From the Creator’s perspective of course because you need equivalence of form and without equivalents of form you can’t connect.

S. And then the created being is happy in this action of restriction?

R. Everything begins from restriction, each and every action begins from restriction of the will to receive that the Creator created, that we don’t use it in it’s ordinary form the way it awakens within us.

S. I asked about the joy because…

R. The joy is in accord with that, yes in accordance with that the joy erupts as you can now advance towards the Creator, connect to Him.

S. Despite the action as if against the Creator he wants to give to me?

R. Look all of the wisdom of Kabbalah is against Kabbalah meaning reception because you are always making restrictions and then the striking it is all opposite, coupling of striking, receiving in order to bestow, you are always working in the opposite way with your will to receive, yes.

18. S. (35:37) How can we increase the Kli of faith in the ten?

R. By making concessions towards each other and each one wants to help each other and each one nullifies his will to receive and we want to connect between us so that there is a greater will to bestow between us based on a shared will to receive so we come to a state where we have a single vessel.

19. S. (36:23) From what point are we asking from, from that point where it for the first time finds itself in mercy or from the the other point, from the ten or from this point that we are in now with all the deficiencies that we have and everything that was given to us from the Creator?

R. We ask from the point of restriction from which we want to begin bestowing and from wanting to bestow that point becomes a foundation for our conception, our new conception where we connect and begin developing a new Partzuf of bestowal upon the upper one.

20. S. (37:37) From what I see in this short passage, actually it is written about this technology how to constantly rise above, this constant rejection between the Kli, the vessels and The the creator and if you are able to rise above reason and receive this decision all the time, is this something that the person can do with the help of the Ten obviously or is it always from the side of the Creator, He’s always preparing it?

R. The impulse comes from not wanting to receive and then a new desire develops there to bestow and it pushes the Kli to the next action.

S. But as a result he doesn’t faa even for one moment into reception?

R. No, there is a matter of who is in control because it is the Creator who is doing the action,the Kli does not fall, it is not the decision of the Kli.

S. Meaning there is some kind of point of transmission where the person is always able to go above reason?

R. Therefore it cannot be canceled.

21. S. (39:26) The screen, is it always a result of this calculation? Also if we are doing it with eyes closed?

R. Yes.

22. S. (39:48) I hope I am not wrong here. I don’t need to receive from the friends practically and so when we are doing an action of connection between us and the restriction comes?

R. Yes.

23. S. (40:18) This purification of the vessel is actually despite all of the rejections that I feel I put them on the side and I don’t relate to them and I asked the Creator that I’m more and more being the force of love and bestowal?

R. Yes, but you can’t just reject anything that I don’t understand but ultimately yes if you you relinquish the current state you ultimately reach a state where you receive the screen.

S. What’s the point here? When I do what you are saying, where’s the desire, the whole collection is actually in my intention?

R. Correct, you don’t need anything more than intention. From the guest towards the host is there anything besides intention? No, but by the right intention he begins to receive from the host everything the host gives to him then he has no problem no shame, no nothing.

24. S. (41:28) Each time in this way that every time I reach a new level of faith then the light is removed, just like it is written that when the vessels are removed the light is also removed?

R. Well of course the light depends on the Kli, the Kli depends on the screen, the screen is the force of overcoming so what’s the question?

S. The question is when we reach a new degree then the light will always be removed? How do we reach the end correction? How does this process end?

R. We each time move to a higher degree. Each time I am going for a higher desire,a greater appearance of the light, a greater Kli.

25. S. (42:28) I heard now that the vessel of the face and the screen are the same so how many vessels is the person working with? Is it just one taking on new forms?

R. It’s only one single Kli but sometimes we call it this way and sometimes we call it that way.

26. S. (42:47) Does the Ten have a mutual screen and if so can you build it together?

R. The Ten does have a common screen but in the meantime we can’t build it together. We don’t have such a connection to have that comment screen.

27. S. (43:12) Is the screen also a Kli?

R. The screen is the Kli.

28. S. (43:24) The current screen becomes the floor, the bottom part of the next degree?

R. Yes.

29. S. (43:39) This passage, is it speaking about my nullification towards the friends?

R. Yes, my annulment towards the friends is correct. That’s basically what I need to do on each and every degree…

30. S. (44:03) In this action of annulment there’s a place revealed there for faith?

S. Yes.

31. S. (44:09) This refinement of the screen is this refinement of our will intention to receive?

S. Yes.

32. S. (44:26) There is a friend that is continuing to go through hard times and I want to make concessions for her,what more can I do besides thinking of her, asking for what more are these concessions?

R. We have read many articles of Baal HaSulam and Rabbash regarding the relationship between the friends, the connections of the friends in the mutual way, you do not remember any of that?  I have to organize all the friends so that we all connect and we start working together to words that friend who requires let’s say in need of our help and somehow approach her and start doing some actions surrounding her until we can pull her in and bring her into our activity and then she is incorporated with our vessels. That is the main thing that she incorporates with our vessels and then she can leave those previous states that she had and those heal from all their problems

33. S. (46:29) This refinement of the screen is a condition in order to bestow  \to the lower ones?

R. The refinement of the screen which was made by the upper light is necessary to enter a connection and new connection between the upper one and the lower one.

S. Meeting the ability to bestow to the lower ones is by the refinement of the screen?

R. Yes, because there is no renewal in the degree if there is no refinement of the screen.

34. S. (47:33) Whenever the screen is refined, does it feel like pressure or suffering of the created being?

R. It all depends on what state that created beings is in typically it is felt in the creative being as a process of renewal. All the spiritual actions in the creative being in their correct form they are felt as a renewal and ascension above previous states each time we rise and rise.

35. S. (52:02) In 45 minutes we had we were asking questions about the first passage my question is what vessel we are supposed to receive the answers of the Rav about the vessel of the faith so bestowal is upon us in the right way?

R. Yes in the vessel of faith which means in the vessel of faith.

S. Your answers how do they stay in this flow that we can understand them in the right way?

R. There is reason and there is faith, we receive it in the vessel of faith.

36. S. (25:54) It is written here that there is nothing to be fearful of if you falling into the vessels of reception because he is always trying to exit self-love, so how do we build such a state where really you are not fearful that I am not going to fall into that I am not going to enter something that I am not going to deal with?

R. I’m trying to describe myself that I am always in the process of increasing bestowal more and more and more with it friends with the study with the group with each and everything. R. The honor of the Creator should cover the matter that I do not want to discover something of the Creator in the clear direct matter in my vessels of reception because out of his honour I do not want to get go close to him, it is similar to how we are doing this in our world to people we respect appreciate we do not get too close to them. It is though I disregard his greatness and that is why we do that.

38. S. (56:11) Question from a friend that he has no light and no internet, in order to really come to want to work and come to above reason and not to be fearful that this illumination won’t become something reception is that called the Revelation of Evil?

R. Yes we always need the will to receive to open up more and more either we demand the restriction or we demand the screen or we demand subjugation and connection it doesn’t matter we also need to learn how much we can benefit from connection between us, Is that equivalent to spiritual ascent and so on. That’s what we still need to learn how to work with.

39. S. (57:18) We learn that a person should only go above reason in order to enter into spirituality, so it gives us an impression that in order to operate that way you have to have some kind of heavness like as if there is taking your soul away from you how can we wage war with this heaviness?

R. Kabbalists write about this in many places this heaviness has to do with the levels of faith above reason meaning that we have to prefer bestowal over reception, it’s a problem and it will gradually pass that’s what I can say.

40. S. (58:32) In the last passage that we red that Kabbalists depicts a state of Lishma or is still on the way to Lishma?

R. Yes, it is the same thing it is on the way to Lishma or Lishma is it the same direction and same effort.

41. S. (58:58) Why also my need to give is above the screen and why is my beloved hiding concealed instead of being revealed in order to begin these actions of bestowal?

R. He wants you to attain him he wants you all of you to connect on his level not on your level you understand that is why he is hidden.

42. S. (59:37) It is written that because of the honor of the Creator concealed the matter and in the other hand we say that we always want to reveal the Creator, how does this work out?

R. This is called revelation in concealment. The Safa that is new to the book that is concealed meaning that we want to reveal but only through restriction screen and reflected light that is the entire wisdom of kabbalah that is our entire wisdom; otherwise, we cannot unlock the Creator the upperworld we will not be able to discover anything if we go with our ordinary vessel but only by the power of faith above reason.

S. Meaning the full revelation is in the end of correction?

R. Yes.

43. S. (01:00:58) How can the Creator also be great and respected and also closed?

R. You also have the vessel that also in order to bestowal we can be opposit we can come closer to him and by this force of coarseness we come closer to him.

S. The closeness where is it felt in the reason or what?

R. The closeness is felt in our vessel that after the preparation we do by restriction screen coupling and then we feel ourselves connected to the host.

44. S. R. We are not doing it we do not have it he says it for the future.

R. There’s feeling and there’s knowledge that means that we need to have a feeling in order to work with knowledge.

49. S. (01:10:39) How do we identify the screen in the 10 what sensations will we experience?

R. That we have a force that’s something Connect us that raises us and adheres us to the Creator this means that we are working with this common screen.

50. S. (01:11:29) What is the meaning that the resistanting force is the majority of the Kli?

R. Like we learn from the beginning that restriction screen returning light this is the vessel in spirituality.

51. S. (01:11:49) What does it mean that the resisting force is the main part of the Kli?

R. The rejecting force this is the pleasure.

52. S. (0:11:58) what does it mean in terms of abundance when he says the abundance will not stop?

R. Connection with the Creator that is felt within us as abundance that comes from Him, this never ends, only unless a person is in states where he is not able to feel it, doesn’t want to.

53. S. (01:12:32) Can you explain again the refinement of the screen?

R. The refinement of the screen is that I have no force of overcoming on the pleasures that the host puts in front of me.

54. S. (01:12:46) Annulment in the ten is like the restriction or like the refinement of the screen?

R. Annulment in the ten is incorporation in the ten, I guess, and this is what we really need to respect. After, from this, we can see what is the consequence, the result of annulment. Like Rabash says in his social articles.

R. Despite thinking and feeling this way and that way, I rise above It and connect to the friends and pass them my strength, my intentions, so I could go with whatever they decide, this is already the force of faith above my reason.

R. Specifically within reason, oh, higher?

S. How can within reason be higher than reason?

R. You continue to work and you see the extent in which what you ask for is included in your next actions, as much as the Creator is participating with you, friends are participating with you.

59. S. (01:16:19) When we start the work, you want to cleave to the Creator, adhere to Him, here that you need to annul and enter the ten, we do not believe this work and we go above reason, but you enter and begin to work in the ten, you begin to enjoy it, and you work in and you come from a place of desire, that this is the work and you want to work, how to rise above reason, what does it mean to go above reason?

R. I don’t know according to your explanation, more than likely you need to think about.

S. And this becomes a real part of your life, but you have to go above reason.

R. Otherwise you will not be in servitude.
