Reading Chap 6 Simple Light #70 (00:44): “However, afterward, through the coupling of Yesod of AK..”
Reading (10:35) “This explains how all the shells came only due to the breaking
1. S. (11:50) Can we say that the shells are vessels without a screen?
R. Certainly they are vessels with a screen. Otherwise they would be vessels, if they had a will to receive with a screen, and you could use the will to receive in order to bestow.
S. What does it mean when we talk about vessels in the spiritual world, for example there is the ZA that became a Klipot, how can ZA become a shell and still stay ZA?
R. Shells don’t relate to this world, they are vessels in order to receive, which exists in spirituality, not in corporeality.
S. What is the connection with the surroundings, there is a part here that is sorted out from them, so what does it mean that it is sorted out during ZAT in the world of Nekkudim, in the last paragraph it says here?
R. I’m reading the entire excerpt.
Rav reading (13:33)
This explains how all the shells came only due to the breaking of the vessels and they are from those two vessels of ZA and Malchut that we used in ZAT of Nekudim as internal, after they were separated into surrounding vessels and were therefore corrupted and became ZA and Malchut of the shell. They’re called shells to indicate that they are unfit for sorting throughout the 6000 years until the end of correction; they cannot become sorted and corrected only in the end of correction itself. For as long as the first two phases have not been fully sorted from within them, which are the interior vessels or phase one of the posterior, which is ZON of Bina, The partition of the second restriction is fixed and sustained and the vessels of ZA and Malchut remain as surrounding, they cannot be vessels yet, and what has been put together from them during the reign of ZAT of Nekudim has become ZON of the shells.
S. What is the intention, the meaning, that really Malchut of ZAT of Nekudim became ZON of the shells, what has been sorted out?
R. It turns out these vessels cannot become clarified and they cannot become sorted out and they cannot become equipped with a screen, that is what becomes clarified, that in correction they cannot go through these corrections and then they turn into shells.
S. And it says here also that they keep on being surrounded, what does that mean?
R. That they can be surrounding vessels and around them could be surrounding lights, but they cannot turn into being an internal and external vessel.
2. S. (16:34) Can you please explain what does it mean, shattering of the vessels as the guest and the host, because in the beginning it was okay and what happened, the guest ate too much or something?
R. The guest and the host, what is the shattering of the vessel, is that the guests sit at the host’s, end the host wants to give the guest more and more and more, and the guest feels his boundary even though the host implores him so much the he cannot stop himself for the benefit of the host. He receives more than what he can intend in order to bestow to the host, and that moment when he receives more food then he can return to the host, it turns out that he takes part of that food for his own sake and he feels how tasty it is in his vessels of reception, not in his vessels of bestowal, and that is considered him going through the shattering.
S. And he didn’t know it in the beginning, he aimed at the host?
R. He intended for the host, but he lost the feeling of the boundary and then he started to receive in order to receive.
S. And this causes the second restriction?
R. This causes the shattering.
S. How does he correct it now?
R. After the shattering we learn how to correct that and we learn that without the shattering we cannot correct anything and everyone needs to go through that shattering because during the time of the shattering, he starts feeling where his true boundaries is, where it is forbidden to go through and before that he did not have clear feeling where exactly that boundary was.
S. And this boundary is the Parsa, basically?
R. Yes.
4. S. (19:17) Can we say that on the table of the host there are those broken desires, and as we choose, as it is written here, sort out the desires to the degree of Yechida, that we examine what we can receive in order to bestow, and we agree to it?
R. Yes.
5. S. (19:48) If you can explain in a way that we can feel, how the first restriction and the second restriction have developed so that the second restriction will stay permanently?
R. The first restriction is a prohibition to receive in order to receive, meaning I receive only if I’m certain that I do the host a favor, then in the first restriction I receive nothing, I receive nothing. The second restriction, I receive because the host pressures me, and I feel that I can receive and by doing so give him pleasure, so I open myself and receive something in order to bestow to him.
S. Is this why we are talking and we are saying that in order to reach Lishma, this restriction is required? Is this an action of the reflected light?
R. Yes.
