1. Rav’s Introduction: (00:33) We understand that everything is attained from its opposite, that every day we need to attain the degree of connection that is a greater so against that we also need to feel and attain the degree of disconnection, distancing that is greater, as the advantage of the light is from darkness, and it is always that way. Also in our world through all sorts of phenomena in technology and whatever, it doesn’t matter we always attain a thing from its opposite. Therefore when we are talking about the degrees we need to rise to the degree of absolute eternal Love Like The Creator, we have to understand that against that we need to each time attain the opposite degree to it. It’s the minus that we have to attain and each time there will be darkness and from the darkness we attain light. Hatred rejection, difficulty, truly heaviness rejection and on top of that we have to try and come closer to each other and to be closer, more helpful to each other until we discover the new degree of connection in which we feel the new Creator. In this way everyday who have new hatred and new connection, this is how, this is against that each time we attain the power of separation and the power of connection one against the other more and more. Do not be afraid of this and do not disregard this, simply know that this is nature that the created being cannot attain a thing unless it comes from the opposite, from the opposite of what he is about to attain. Just like we read in the Book of Zohar about Rabbi Shimon and his friends all together what the Kabbalists talk about. As we need to come to a state in which state in which in order to feel good thing we need to clearly attain against it resistance, rejection hatred and this is how we come to the feeling of spiritual states. We read about this and again we probably need to renew these things, but mostly what we didn’t learn about it this apart and that apart but how they equalize together, and eventually the day comes and clothes the night and this is how we move forward. Therefore the main thing for us is to try now that we have learned about separation and connection, and that the main thing for us is to hold on to both together. Where both this and that has room for both day and for night, for rejection and inclination together. We need to understand that the negative comes to us from the shattering of the vessel of Adam HaRishon and this is how each time and more and more internal shattering comes our way, deeper and upon this we need to reach a stronger connection, a more common connection between us both in quantity and quality. Do not be scared of periods of darkness and just learn how upon them we can build the matter of light, the matter of day. Here comes the problem that according to our egoistic nature we are not capable of approaching so quickly the connection and mutual support that will cause us the feeling of day, light, the feeling of the Creator. Therefore we need to invest forces here, whereas to fall is already for us to start with from the shattering of the vessel, and if we let go, we already descend into darkness and rejection, distancing. Each time we need not forget that only through the connection between us, as much as one helps his friend and reminds each other about these things, giving an example to one another, accordingly we will advance. If we do not help each other nobody will have the possibility of coming to correction because the corrections are all in the connection between us and in the connection it cannot be in any other way but through mutual support. This seems to me pretty clear.
2. S. (07:28) You said that in order to reveal the love, the connection between us we have to reveal the darkness first, but what is this exactly when you reveal the darkness?
R. That we are not capable of connecting to each other, that we are not connected to each other. That we discover more distance, more of a lack of understanding mutually between us, this is called night and night is a lack of connection between us. The moment we attain a certain connection, then from it we attain light, day, the new quality of the Creator and this is how it is revealed, and this is how we advance. The Creator is ‘Come and See.’ Where do we come from and where do we see from? By us being disconnected we make effort and make connections between ourselves, and in some new form. Then we can build and check and examine and feel that new measure of connection. This is how we advance in the knowledge of the Creator, this is called “to get to know the Creator”. That the measure of disconnect was arranged for us by the Creator in advance, and when we try to connect between us, from that we attain forms of connection and the power of connection and the manners of connection that are each time anew. From all those things that we try to arrange between us, this is how we come to the knowledge of the Creator, the feeling of the Creator since in the whole connection between us we have parts of our desires meaning Sefirot. In each of us new desires are revealed, and we want to work on the connection with them and as much as we connect them together, by that we put in more and more individual Sefirot and more and more until we finalize this whole sphere of the general vessel of Adam HaRishon, and this is how we come to the knowledge of the Creator. By connecting all the individuals together in addition of one to another, one will help his friend, and this is how we discover that the Creator fills these connections according to the intensity of the connection, to the extent that we make efforts to connect even though there is a force of separation between us. How the Creator participates with us, with what power and what manner He fills the connection between us. That is called the NRNHY of the lights. It all depends on the way we are connecting upon the laziness, the distance, the rejection that we reveal between us which is the result of the shattering.
S. How do we close this circle, how can we close between the Sefirot and the desires?
R. This is a nice question, but I do not have an answer for it. We just put forth our effort, we put forth our desire, we give a prayer and then we are closing this together, each time more and more above the degrees of separation that are revealed previously. We do not know in advance we also do not know according to our intellect how we connect. it is not like in technology that I come and connect the different wires or components like in mechanics for example this to that and that to that. I need to give forth efforts and in all our efforts it is written, the Creator will finish it for us, meaning the Creator will perform the action and I come with my efforts to be connected, to collect things and to try and as much as I am in a greater shattered broken desire I have more ability to come to greater connection. Therefore anyone who is greater than his friend his inclination is greater them him. The greatest Kabbalists think they just imply jump into the end of correction, no. Their work is very hard work, they felt darkness for a long time in those periods between the lights and this way they nevertheless they get there, the main thing is patience. 4. R. (18:36) This is not so clear to people who grew and are in the framework of this world. For us, love is considered that I love something that is good for my ego and truth I need to reach love, not since it is good for my ego but that I love, I simply love others because through others I also come to the love of the Creator. Boundless love, which is how I develop myself to become a spiritual man, acquiring the spiritual quality, the quality of love and the quality of bestowal and I have nothing from this for myself. Thus, a person seemingly forgets about himself. He sees himself only as a means of how he can bestow to others and through himself to the Creator
5. S. (19:55) How is love expressed within us if it is not within us to begin with? acceptable How does it appear?
R. The root for love is in us, it is just concealed. We do not feel, we do not understand how it is possible and why it could be. Why would I love another? I love what I love. I love sweets and I love ice cream. Look at children, he knows what he loves, and it is in him. In us, we need to understand that love of others can grow in us only upon rejection, hatred, and distance from one another. Otherwise it won’t be love. Where everything grows upon opposite forms. We need to hold ourselves in a straight way towards the goal and understand that the goal is attained only through the force of rejection upon the force of connection, and it cannot be that I will reach some connection if within there won’t be a desire to disconnect or reject the thing and it’s opposite. They need to be together; they need to be together. That is love that covers all transgression, all crimes. I cannot just love something or somebody unless I discover hatred and rejection and accordingly I developed the force of connection and love. That is what is so missing in this world. We do not understand how it is that we can truly be good to each other. This can only be according to that formula; love covers all crimes. The crimes enter, and are in a degree as the coarseness, the Aviut and upon that there is a restriction than I do not use them but rather upon them I develop love and love covers the connection, covers the separation and the separation remains otherwise there would be no coarseness, no Aviut. Otherwise I could not rise towards the connection upwards towards the Creator. Hence, our entire work is by sustaining, maintaining that resistance, distancing, the hatred, misunderstanding, and the lack of acquaintance with one another and each is greater than his friend, his inclination is greater than him. We keep this within, we do not erase it. These are our assets and above that we build our connection nearing, embrace. This is how they balance in us, these two contradicting manners and there is restriction between them the agreement to use both of them for the one common purpose which is the correction. We come with all of our vessels that want it to be fulfilled and the egoistic filling and above that we build our relations where we understand one another and the to the extent that we are in rejection, distance, confusion, etc. and upon that we build the suitable vessels for connection, despite that. Always all the darkness and the light are built in such a way that they come as equally measured one against the other
S. If I understand correctly, love exists within us in a concealed way, but to the fullest you can reveal it. The only way is if we want to neutralize the hate?
R. Yes, you are right. Let’s open this matter more.
6. S. (25:36) It is written that I have to love the friends and not worry about the friends loving me but if the friends don’t love me I am lost, no?
R. Your concern needs to be for you developing your love towards them and what will come in return you have no forces or the heart to be concerned with because that would be your egoistic desire. You want to be in absolute love meaning only one direction from you towards the friends.
S. Am I not supposed to buy them to worry about caring for the friends and loving them?
R. That’s correct you’re right and it’s written that way but you do this in order to develop the ability to love from you, therefore don’t worry the moment you develop love for the friends you do not have to worry about how much they will love you, in the beginning of the path in the initial states in the initial stages we have to be concerned with this and that because we are under egoistic desires but the more we advance we understand and also the degrees themselves already aim us and accompany us to a state in which we see that by caring for the friend I cover all my work, I don’t need to be concerned how he will love me it only needs to be the disclosure of love towards him. We’ll talk about this more.
7. S. (27:50) What are the signs that indicate that our love is truly growing?
R. It’s enough for me to overcome each time those disturbances that are being revealed in me, to be certain that I’m advancing on the measure of love. Because each time I think about advancement in loving the friends and by that I discover how much more work I have. The system is already built in such a way that it is called the Godly System which is all revealed in all kinds of ways and then the Lord God is revealed Hashem Elohim, the five degrees of the desire just as we learned about it, and in them the degrees of coarseness are revealed and if I work with them in order to connect to the complete name as I begin to receive forces, the light that corrects me.
8. S. (29:23) Alertness toward connection but the effort I feel only when I do it and I feel myself separate and the more I feel the ten is united the more I discover that I am separate I am really unable to connect. Why does it happen and what can I do?
R. Why this happens is because you’re getting help from above you’re being shown the spiritual systems and to the extent in which you are not within them each time and each time you will discover yourself even more further, distanced, even less connected to all the parts of the system this’s how we advance and even in this world you will talk with a scientist let’s say so if you talk with someone that’s kind of like just a school teacher somewhere they’ll tell you such laws and rules that are like this, it’s all clear more or less, if you talk to a great scientist and there’s already great problems no one is certain if it’s like this or like that, whoever learned in the university maybe remembers that the you come from school and in school let’s say we learned the laws of Newton and all kinds of other physical laws like that and then you come to the university all of a sudden the same formula which according to Newton altogether there’s a simple formula there with three or four components suddenly in the university you see that the same formula which talks about the same manner of attraction, rejection, speed, inertia, et cetera, all of a sudden there are like differentials, integrals and all kinds other things and you say why, it should be simple, no it is no longer simple this is already very complex formulas it’s the same here the more we advance the more we open up more components in our vessel in our feeling and this way we in opening them advance and it all opens upon our desire which is being revealed more and more and then.
S. This distance makes me feel bad. Why do we always have to feel worse the more we advance?
R. That’s because to begin with you’re not arranging yourself in connection with the friends in order to be aimed for the attack for the next connection therefore you are receive the new discernments in a terrible way but if you know that you’re going towards the revelation of greater love then you would be happy about this. The doctors are say that before you go to eat if you have a good meal a nice meal before you need to walk to go for a stroll to do some kinds of physical actions so that you would have a desire to eat, I want to fill myself why do I need to discover this hunger this appetite, rather they say yes you need to be with hunger, an appetite in order to discover the correct form for the food and therefore exert with all kinds of things go for a stroll, do something and then after that come to the meal, that’s how it is for us in order to reach the great revelation of the Creator we need to be in very big vessels. The Creator is the apex of connection between all the contradicted parts together so how do you make it contradicted and together, resisted and connected, it’s something impossible to depict it’s like the explosion of some nuclear bomb that let’s say at the same time connects together with all its components in the correct and right way, I didn’t manage to convey it, in short we will feel these things we must discover each time a measure of distancing so that upon it through our efforts we’ll define the measure of connection, that’s our way therefore anyone who’s greater than his friend his inclination is greater than him meaning those who are capable of approaching great achievements in connection meaning in revelation of the Creator in high degrees must be ready for falling and many times into places that are low, dark, black prior to that.
S. My ten is strong, I feel it is strong, it seems to me that only I am weak, and I can’t do anything, and I see that this difficulty is continuing to increase.
R. I understand you and I feel what you felt and it’s correct and this is also that you will see the extent to which your nature is in opposite nature to spiritual and the extent to which you can rise above your nature in connection and it’s all in the force of the Creator yes, it will be always be this way descents, ascents, descents, ascents more and more each time.
9. S. (37:08) When a person discovers his hatred he dives into this hatred, digs into it, even when we are studying in the wisdom we forget about the Creator about human nature that we try to destroy, how can we aspire for love if people who do not know Kabbalah?

The Creator has all of these forces, and He awakens them in the right measure, both in bad and good towards us so they would be made of these two systems.
10. S. (39:05) That matter of hatred, what does it mean upon the hatred? It cannot be without hatred?
R. Of course not. How could the world exist on one force? You will not have created beings then you will not have someone who feels because those who feel always feel between two opposites between darkness and light, bad and good. The world must be this way. This is my first of all, the Creator, He created the evil inclination. This is all of creation and then we who come out of this creation, out of this evil information, out of this opposite form from the Creator, we have to acquire the good force, the good inclination, the force of connection and love, Then we have to be comprised of both and then we can exist. We are initially from the opposite material from the Creator from the will to receive. When we get the intention from the Creator, how to work with the will to receive in order to bestow then it turns out that we are very special beings. There are none others like us. That is why we are called Adam, from the word Dome, similar to the Creator. We are similar, we are not equal, we are not identical, we are only similar to him because internally we are in the will to receive, egoistic. On the outside, we cover it with an intention to bestow an altruistic form. This is how we come to equivalence to sympathizing with the Creator although in nature we are opposite to him.
11. S. (41:30) It is written that love of friends is based on the love of others, what is the basis of love of others?
R. All in all, we have to come to the love of others. We come to the love of others we can approach it and realize it only by beginning with love of friends in a small group. There we learn all the basics. What it means to love others, how I come to it, how I overcome my rejection and hatred. The disciples of Rabbi Shimon wanted to kill each other. Every time when they came to their meetings, to their assemblies, they really wanted to kill each other. They hated each other and then gradually they would soften their hearts and come closer to each other and unite. Then they would discover, out of the difference between the darkness and the light they attained, they would discover this entire system that exists between darkness and light, in people and in friends, Then they wrote the Book of Zohar about it. From where did they attain that system? It develops only within us, outside of us there is on similar formly the upper light which is not attainable to anyone but to the extent we make ourselves similar from the opposite form of the light to a similar form to the light, then we become a system of reception of that phenomenon, the light, and the Creator. This is why the Creator says you have made me, because I would not be able to be revealed before whom before what? To the extent you put yourself together this way, I can be revealed this way. I’m the darkness and the light, rejection, and connection. This is why I can be revealed to the created beings because is created being is one who is opposite from me in order to receive , the intention to receive and then build on top of himself the intention in the form of
bestowal.
12. S. (44:15) It is not clear how you are going to connection and then rejection is revealed and then we go to connection, and we discover here, the Creator. What is the difference? We are always between connection and rejection, so where is the element of revelation?
R. If you discover the connection on top of the rejection then gradually this connection begins to reveal to you what is hidden in it. When you connect to your friends then you begin to know him, to be with him, to connect with him, there is a certain system of relationship between your.. You begin to discover something that is common to both of you, between you, and this is called building a vessel for the revelation of the Creator.
S. From that, how is more rejection revealed?
R, According to the records. The minute you attain a correct discernment along the way, to bring you forward, onward, then the next discernment is revealed and the next discernment. It always comes this way in stages, in portions, and this is how you advance. What is not clear?
S. We went to connection rejection is revealed, then we go above the crimes and cover it with love, so when in this process that now we are covering with love?
R. No, you have to cover it, you have to reach love, you have to really discover love. Then you discover it and reveal it on top of the separation that was there. It is clear between one and the other, between darkness and light you have to reveal and discover what is between them and this is exactly the Creator who is between the darkness and light . He is the source, He is the origin of birth, darkness, and light. You have to discover him if you are not discovering him you are still going forward because there are several stages that you have to go through.
S. That is exactly the point that we covered it with love and then what happened?
R. It is a very small love, and the disconnection is also very small, this is why you still cannot come to sufficient power where you feel a certain phenomenon which we call the Creator. The Creator means ‘come and see’. It consists of both darkness and light together.
S. How do we increase the intensity of the states we are in?
R. Continue to connect and then you will see that you fall into separation, into darkness and hatred again. Then again you continue to connect and so on several times until you begin to discover within these stages that there are stages like still, vegetative, animate and speaking. If you go through these stages, you begin to attain the root of the separation and the root of connection, and this is already called the Creator. This is what is before us right now.
13. S. (47:52) It turns out that we have to come to the simplest state, when I sit on the bench and I need to feel both love and hatred, I do not feel it now.

S. But in a difficult state we do feel it, something pressures us and then we discover love.

14. S. (48:45) In the moment of hatred, what to do, what prevented Kabbalists who wanted to kill each other not to kill each other?
R. There is a state and next to the state there is instruction there, it doesn’t matter how you call it, there are instructions to each state, book, or some document by which you have to progress in order to achieve corrections, at the end of which there is the revelation of the Creator. 15. S. (50:44) These states I feel them from the group, I feel them when I am working in the Italian group, and I also feel them in humanity. The question is where do we need to concentrate the covering of hatred with love, is it only in the ten and then all the rest is going to unfold from it?
R. First you need to some extent be directed correctly to the goal. Being directed somewhat correctly means that the society is now showing that if you try to direct yourself correctly, from this later you will be able to continue. If you start looking all over the world to where you connect hatred to love, ascent and descent then you will not find any source or solution for it. Only from within the society from the ten and later you can extend to the world. First we have to feel it in our ten and understand what to do.

Later we learn from this how we can create such states between the groups, and this is all we need, because out of this we will know for certain how we come to the whole world, how to approach mankind because the ten becomes one and can operate as one. It has the internal spiritual force because they unite and organize themselves into a single force and then they through that connection they can operate to the outside meaning outside and other ten and this is how we learn also between the groups how we are in mutual connections and corrections between us and this is how later we come to understand the whole system, it will come soon.
S. It happens that the moment I understand that I cannot connect, I am not capable of going above with love. Is this the moment in which it is best to sit and do nothing?
R. No, there is no such thing that the person is sitting not doing anything, if he cannot do anything he just nullifies and he is as if he is canceled before the friends, revoked before the friends but this is also a lot of work ,it is also a lot of work. It is not like he is powerless and not doing anything. it is a great effort that he must make and do with all of his desires and thoughts when he nullifies before the group no matter what.
16. S. (55:42) When I examine the matter deeply I discover that I can only love others if they have love towards us, so if I can only love in others their love towards me, how can I awaken love in their part?
R. According to your example that you present to him, this is why to the extent we can show to our friends that we are going towards them in connection and love and willingness to connect, it should be exaggerated a little bit, but I need to make efforts to show it. It doesn’t have to be exaggerated but I have to make efforts to show it to the other, then it turns out that we wake up the friends and with this mutual awakening we can progress.

But also I feel that what we love in the Creator, what can be loved in the Creator, and I know that only I can love Creator’s love to me and then I feel the Creator’s love it to me and then I can develop love to him but in concealment when he restricts his love to me I have no hold. I do not have any way to develop love to him. What is that, should the person turn to the Reshimot of the past degree to recreate the love again or what can we do?
R. No, the person should if the situation is like you tell as the person should depict to himself where he feels darkness, it is even greater love of the Creator than what he felt before and he needs to make an effort to show love from him to the Creator to exert in love. If I feel darkness it is a sign that the Creator loves me more than I can reveal by sympathizing with him by becoming similar to him.

17. R. (01:03:12) What do you think, do we really feel the friends as they are or according to how we can picture them, that all the friends are already basically at the end of correction and we only see them according to the levels of corruption that exists in each one and therefore each one is actually working with his own personal correction. What do you think? This is a workshop question. Are we standing against a corrected system and we’re discovering it to the extent, according to the extent of our corruption and there’s nothing to correct in it but only a person needs to correct himself and everything else that seems to be outside of a person is only a projection of himself on others all kinds of his own forms towards others, and on top of those others he’s discovering more and more manners of his egoistic qualities, what do you think?
Workshop: (01:04:44) What do you think, do we really feel the friends as they are, or only how we depict them? Are we in a corrected system and only reveal it to the extent of our corruption?

18. R. (01:07:40) Meaning that through the society we have to come to love of others and those who enter the society understand that they enter a system that should bring them up to the point of love of others.

19. R. (01:08:47) Rav reads: We must remember that the society was established on the basis of love of others. Meaning that each member would receive from the society the love of others and hatred of himself. We need to receive two things, love for others and hatred for himself, meaning his ego and seeing that his friend is straining to annul his self and love others would cause everyone to be integrated in their friends’ intentions. But on condition that they see that his friend is trying is exerting in annulling himself and to love of others, meaning we have to show each other this, this causes each one to be incorporated in his friends’ intentions thus if the society is made of ten members, for example, each will have ten forces practicing self-annulment, hatred of self and love of others.
20. S. (01:10:15) On the way to love of friends I feel disappointment, despair. Are these proceedings stages towards love of friends and what should we do with them?
R. It doesn’t matter what you feel, you feel what you feel, you have this and this and that feeling as long as you are revealing what is in the society with respect to hatred of others and love of others, those two you have to absorb and through them advance.
21. S. (01:11:32) What is to integrate into the intention of his friend?
R. To be integrated in his friends intentions means you reveal towards the friend an inclination, attraction, to the point where you begin to feel his qualities, how much he yearns to come closer to the friends, how much he is trying to eternally abstain from himself, avoid himself and this is what you feel in the friend and with this you want to connect and take from him these qualities and implement them in yourself, within yourself.
S. This could be done with speaking with each other?
R. No, it should be an internal feeling, an inner feeling and even people who are very, very closed and it’s hard for them to feel others then they nevertheless have to have to come to such discernment.
22. S. (01:13:09) In the last excerpt it talks about hatred of self and love of others, what’s the connection between these two feelings, the more I want to love the friends, to that same extent I hate myself more, is that how it is?
R. Yes, yes, the more I want to love the friends, to that extent I also hate my own ego which doesn’t let me do that. Yes.
23. S. (01:13:56) To what extent must we conceal hatred of self and reveal the love of others? What are the mechanics between the two we have to bring to the group?
R. Start doing it and practicing it and you will see in these two directions, love of others and hatred of yourself. It is written that a person’s soul will teach him, you will get these discernments and you will see how to move forward. It’s your inner feeling that should push you forward.

R. We should show the friend how much we’re trying to go by the force of bestowal towards the group, and to sustain the rules of the ten, in the ten, as we hear them from our teacher. This is how Kabbalists always did it, the Book of Zohar was revealed as much as they saw that as the right instructions for corrections and they advanced.
25. S. (01:16:43) My question was more focused on love thy friends as yourself, therefore I am asking is my friends supposed to discover how I really relate to myself?
R. No, the friend has to discover how much I relate both to myself and to the society, both. He will see how much I am willing to place myself in service of the society, of our general world group and by that he should get an example from me, I should show that to him, yes.
26. S. (01:17:39) In the state and the attainment of the friends that are moving forward, and you bow down in order to adapt to him and the ten advances more and more, how can we straighten up these two things, to go to advance and to distance from each other?
R. This is not the right example, completely not correct, if someone fell from the ten this ten cannot advance until it carries him and takes him with him. I’m sorry to hear such a sad example.
27. S. (01:18:39) What’s the role of laziness which conquers us, and we overcome it?
R. Laziness helps us to correctly organize our forces and aim them correctly towards the goal. R. The darkness that appears and incorporates all the darkness that can possibly appear in the general vessel of Adam HaRishon, we discover, according to that same degree, that same extent we are capable of overcoming it, a little bit and to advance towards connection.
29. S. (01:21:17) How can we develop a love for the friends if it’s not love that we recognize and understand?
R. That’s a problem. However, if we want to discover the next step of love then the next step of love is revealed upon concessions, we perform each one towards the others and then we discover what it means to be in love towards the other.

33. S. (01:23:51) How can we connect such that in the ten we won’t act on love of others and hatred of himself, each one in his own individual forces but on the force of the whole ten?
