TORAH AND MITZVOT
Our sages said, “The Torah and Mitzvot were
given only so as to cleanse Israel.” This is the
cleansing of the body until one attains a second
nature defined as “love for others,” meaning
the one Mitzva: “Love thy friend as thyself,”
which is the final aim of the Torah, after which
one immediately attains Dvekut with Him.

תְּקַע בְּשׁוֹפָר גָּדוֹל לְחֵרוּת בָּאֵי עוֹלָמֶךָ,
וְשָׂא נֵס לְקִבּוּץ פְּזוּרֵי עַמִּים,
לְקַבֵּץ נִדָּחִים אֶל מְקוֹם מִבְטָחִים
וְגוֹלִים אֶל אַדְמַת אֲחוּזָתָם.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהוה מְקַבֵּץ פְּזוּרֵי עַמּוֹ וְעוֹלָמוֹ.
Bring in a big trumpet to impress your world, And carry out a miracle to the scattered peoples, Collect faithfuls to a place of safety And exiles to the land of their estates. Blessed are you, Yahweh, who gather the scattered people to Your world.
