Excerpt 13 (00:26) RABASH, Letter No. 14, One is rewarded with everything “
1. Rav’s Introduction: (01:23) This means that if you won’t have cessations ,we will not be able to calculate how many times we have come back, how many times we have tried, how did we advance? This is according to the beats, according to the times that we actually come back from the alien thoughts that throw us away, which the Creator does to us deliberately, so we have the possibility to come back again. He drops us down and then we come back again and again and this way we actually gain from all of these returns to sanctity as much as possible. However we need the group, the study, and all kinds of other small things that each and every one of us should have in his storage so that he would be able come back quickly and once again to the connection with the Creator, and with the group and with the Creator and the purpose of creation. Then he will shorten the path and succeed but realize that specifically from the exits and returns to sanctity of the Creator, to the group, to bestow thoughts about the goal, specifically in the quantity, the number of the exits and entries we succeed.
It is like we see it in modern technology the more we advance in it our frequency is higher. We used to have hertz and kilohertz, and megahertz and now terahertz and more. This is how it is with us; this is as it should be until we reach a state which is permanent and constant where we constantly are connected to the Creator. There is nothing that is connected to the Creator constantly because that has to be there also the created being in his connection to the Creator which means that there will always be this connection and also disconnection. Meaning that nature of the Creator and the nature of the created being that has to be revealed intermittently, one time this and one time that, but the frequency in between them out of the longing should be so great it is as though constant adhesion.
Once again cannot be constant adhesion because adhesion is between two opposite things and then we can talk about adhesion. This is why one time there has to be the nature of the Creator and then one time the nature of the created being. However, the cessations, switching between nature of the Creator and the nature of the created being will be such that we do not take them into account. We do not take them into account not because the cessation is so short but because we understand, we feel that we must have these cessations as well in order to once again return to adhesion. Specifically the returning to adhesion is what gives us the pleasure from the connection with the Creator. As we know in our life it is impossible to feel something but only through something and its opposite.
There is also an article about it, day, and night. All of the discernments that Kabbalists tell us about that. Therefore, we have to respect the states of disconnection but to try to make them such that they would be in the posterior, Achoraim of the connection. This means that we will always be connected. We will feel this connection out of the fact that we have many discernments from disconnection. It is like someone who has experience, who works in some work, and he knows, and he feels, and he is successful, but he also remembers all of those states where once he did not know and he was not successful, he did not understand what was going on. This means that the emotions in the past should also exist in us, and they need to build in us a deficiency for connection that will become permanent. 6. S. (16:41) How can we shorten the times of disconnection from the Creator?
R. We don’t need to try to come out of these states but rather within these states to build connection with the Creator, “darkness shall shine is light” truly in that state that the Creator gives me. I accept it and I am going with it. I participate more and more in this state. For me it becomes a realistic and good state, and it advances me. It advances me, specifically the construction of the vessel is done in the darkness, at night, that form of the deficiency, the measure of the yearning, we have prepared that at night. 9. S. (20:26) We learn that the Creator sends the disturbances to the person and solves it also by himself. Is there some part of man here in solving these problems?
R. Yes, the person is what we are to learn about. We do not have to learn much about the Creator’s action. We have to learn but it depends on us. This is what we are studying.
10. S. ( 21:11) What is the difference between disconnection that results from a state that I felt consciously the will to receive and then there is that one when I disconnect unconsciously?
R. That does not matter so much, the most important is to nevertheless as much as possible to be incorporated with the friends and with that help to realize what kind of nullification we need and then to annul.
11. S. (21:48) Is each and every disconnection like this, there needs to be some part which is still connected to the point of connection and how can we keep it ?
R. That Creator does that. 12. R. (24:48) This means that specifically from the blows we need to learn how to overcome, how to advance in what the Creator strikes He heals. R. Who gives the healing? Of course it comes from above. He gives the healing; it depends on what we feel as healing.
S. Is it faith above reason?
R. Faith above reason, those are just words for the time being.
15. S. (27:45) What is the connection when the person loses a lack to connect to the Creator to faith above reason? Why is faith above reason building this lack ?
R. This is a special force that can elevate the person above the negative sensations, the negative recognition it ties him to the Creator. Faith above reason is a force that ties the person to the Creator.
S. Where does this renewal of the desire come from? Where does the person acquire this desire, this lack?
R. It comes from above and it is not according to our decision, but it is according to how much we try to go with whatever we have if we work correctly with our deficiency then the get a new deficiency which is higher and more cunning.

R. First of all to make the effort by all sorts of preparations to see in each and every action that passes over you, in each and every state that passes over you, that it’s the action of the Creator that wants to awaken and to awaken you to prayer.
