1.Rav’s Introduction: The study of the Ten Sefirot is a very special book. We see how much work Baal HaSulam put into it and thought and labor so it looks like in this book there is a very special force for those who study it, it can raise them from one world to another and it all depends on how much we want our study to not give us some knowledge, more wisdom but how much we want this study to bring us to an internal opening that our heart will open up and we’ll be able to feel what Baal HaSulam wants to show us. To open the upper world to us so let us see how we will come to that, how we will enter it. You, of course, went through this material in various lessons, group lessons and we will do it together now. The most important thing is how to enter the feeling of this material.

That is the main thing therefore let us see how to do it and again most important, I’m saying, is not to be a partition between what is written and what I feel. The person himself prevents what is written to appear in him as a reality so let us try to remove this disturbance and so what is written will become revealed in our desires, in our feelings, in our thoughts, in a way that, well, let’s say at least the way we feel this world that clothes in our senses. Now I am not discussing right now the need for us to connect together and want it together. That is clear, that should be obvious that our whole tendency to perceive TES is in connecting and wanting to discover it together. So let us go, we will see on the way. I will start and then we will continue reading one thing after another.

Rav Reads (04:05) – Part one restriction and line containing two chapters. Chapter one explains the issue of the first restriction when the light of Ein Sof became restricted in order to emanate the emanated beings and create the created beings containing five issues: 1. Before the restriction Ein Sof filled the entire reality. 2. The reason for creation was the revelation of His names and appellations. Of Ein Sof. 3. The restriction of the light around the middle point. 4. The space that remained after the restriction was circular. 5. Because the light of Ein Sof was even the Restriction was also even this is also the meaning of the circle. So we can see that Baal HaSulam wants to show us these things, as the Ari describes before him, a very great Kabbalist who describes everything as a picture. In such a way he wants to communicate, to convey to us the manner of perception of that state that existed before the restriction and during the restriction and after the restriction. So that seems to be a major action and then he continues: Before the restriction Ein Sof filled the entire reality. 1. Know that before the emanated beings were emanated and the created beings created, the upper simple light had filled the entire reality, there was no vacant place such as empty air in space but everything was filled with that simple boundless light. It did not have a quality of Rosh or Sof but it was all one simple light completely even called the light of Ein Sof. This was item one written by ARI now Baal HaSulam takes this and begins to interpret. Read this please.

2. R. (11:30) We are continuing there isn’t so much to discuss here. We have to just absorb what he is saying for now and then with whatever we are observing we can then discuss and sort it out and put things together and so on. For now we are just collecting the information.

3. S. (14:08) How do we relate correctly to all of those terms like the upper light and all of that?

R. You are asking correctly and this is the whole issue here. How do we describe to ourselves what the ARI and Baal HaSulam write for us? Two Kabbalists from whom we have the entire wisdom of Kabbalah. I think we have to try to describe it in the desire because everything is only about the desire. The upper light fills all of reality. What is reality? The desire. How the upper light comes from the Creator we do not know who that is. We don’t know who the light is. We can know how the light influences the desire and transforms the desire and fulfills the desire and empties the desire and so on. So all that we learn, and we ourselves too, we are results of the influence of the upper light on the desire. That desire is the Created being that was created in all of reality, the desire, and the upper light works on the desire. We can describe it as if it is pushing the desire and dividing the desire and so on, meaning that what is working is the light what it is working on is the desire and besides these two, light and desire or you can call it Creator and creation there is nothing more in reality. That is it.

4. S. (16:28) We are very happy because we are studying the study of TES. We are preparing ourselves for many years, I think two years, so the question is how can we receive this light in order to use it in the ten and for the whole world Kli

R. This is something we need to learn bit by bit in a practical way starting from lesson one. That we have to describe within us how it should work, not to run away to all kinds of fantasies but that we are the will to receive and how, let us depict how the force of bestowal influences our desire and changes it, corrects it and so the desire under the influence of the upper light is transforming. It takes on the qualities of the upper light, the qualities of bestowal. That is basically what the whole wisdom of Kabbalah is about and really what exists in all of reality, there is a desire that wants to receive, to enjoy, to fulfill itself. We can feel it as good or bad if we are talking about the feeling of it and the upper light, which is basically the Creator, it works on the desire, changing it, correcting it and when it corrects it it means that it is making the desire more suitable, more compatible to the light itself, to the Creator and that is what is happening and all of reality and there is no other reality before us besides the desire and the light. And the light always works on the desire in order to bring it to proximity, to what we call an equivalence of form which is the form of bestowal that the light itself has. We will talk about this much more.

Reading Item 4 (19:21)

5. R. (20:30) Okay, so what does he want to say here? That there was no deficiency yet in the sensation of the created being, that created being is a desire and the Creator is the light. The light has to work on the desire in order to change it to something so in the meantime it is only the work of the light on the desire with no response from the desire itself. So the created being is not actually there yet because the created being is felt according to the deficiency that it has towards the light, towards the Creator. Okay?

6. S. (21:17) How can we depict this light as something that is above the desire because practically there is still no desire, that response, until the restriction and so on. So how can we grasp this?

R. We can describe it only as a desire which is not even yet a desire because it has no deficiency yet we are talking about two discernment here, desire and light that are working this way because the upper force, the thoughts of creation works on them and positions them one opposite the other and so we could not yet actually discuss the created being because there is no deficiency that appears on the part of the desire. The desire as if doesn’t exist because it is all completely under the control of the upper light and what becomes revealed is only the control of the light of the Creator on the future created being. The created being as if doesn’t appear yet because it exists completely under the control of the upper light, the Creator.

S. It is not conscious yet?

R. There is no created being yet. There is no created being yet because the deficiency hasn’t yet appeared that it wants something out of itself. The created being is measured by the level of deficiency and the manner of deficiency that appears but if it doesn’t have it yet then it is not there.

S. This may be a foolish question but how did Kabbalists attain this state?

R. This is a correct question. This is truly a problem to explain but we will talk about it more than once. Kabbalist discover these things even though they do not exist in there deficiency rather the Creator in revealing the actions to them is adding to their revelations what is before and after the revelation so he is giving to them such additions in the revelation that they can even describe the state that, as if, didn’t exist in reality before the created being. Like when he writes before the emanations were emanated. How? What do you mean before? How can the created being talk about what appeared before he appeared. Where does he take it from? So we will see that all of those things we receive afterwards from revealing the actions of the Creator and then we can depict the things that seemingly happened before the Creator gives birth to us. We will come to that but for now we are going forward.

7. R. (26:18) This is a very important condition that we should remember for eternity.

Reading continued: (26:27) “However sometimes when the…”

8. R. (27:52) It says here simply that we have the light of Hochma and the light of Hassadim. Two forms, two lights. Actually there is no light of Hochma and Hassadim, it is all about the created being. If the created being works with its desire to receive, wanting to fulfill the desire, this means that it reveals and wants the light of Hochma. If the created being wants the opposite not to receive but to bestow to the upper one then it means that he creates or forms the light of Hassadim. So the light of Hassadim is light that comes on behalf of the created being wanting to bestow to the Creator. The light of Hochma, is the opposite, the light of the Creator is love towards the created being.

Reading Item 6 (28:53)

9. R. (29:35) Because all together the emanation is a deficiency. A deficiency for what it can receive from the Creator and the role of the emanated being, if it has the abilities to make himself compatible to what the Creator wants to give.

Reading item 6 (30:01) “know that the amount of that desire…”

10. R. (30:10) So what is the substance of the emanate being, the yearning not just plain desire but yearning, longing, this tendency on behalf of the created being to receive what the Creator wants to give.

Reading (30:32) “thus, everything that exists in the emanated being…”

11. R. (30:49) So altogether in the emanator there is only abundance. In the emanation there is a deficiency for that abundance and then, when he receives fulfillment into that deficiency, then we say that there are two things in the emanated being: the deficiency and the fulfillment. So in the emanated being there is the feeling of its own deficiency and the fulfillment or the emanator that resides in him and fulfills him.

Reading (31:26) “furthermore this substance…”

12. R. (31:42) We measure everything only according to how the emanated being, the will to receive, can receive from the emanator, from the Creator. That is how we measure, there are no other measurement tools.

Reading (32:04) “the expansion of the upper light….”

13. R. (32:10) It is unlimited.

Reading (32:12) “but it is the emanated being….”

14. R. (32:21) And therefore according to how much it receives or does not receive due to whatever reason, according to that we measure and we can say anything about the created being.

Reading (32:37) “For it receives no more and no less…”

15. S. (32:53) Meaning that the created being can increase or decrease his desire and accordingly receive a greater or smaller fulfillment from the emanator.

Reading (33:06) “This is because there is no coercion there…”

16. R. (33:20) The created being, as much as he wants, as much as he can, he can receive but there is no such thing that the emanator fulfills beyond the desire, pushes fulfillment on his part. About this it says that there is no coercion in spirituality.

Reading (33:42) “for this reason we call this will to receive…”

17. R. (34:25) Meaning that the big principle and only difference that exists between the emanator and the emanated being is the desire. The kind of the desire, the essence of the desire, the desire of the emanator is a desire to bestow, to give, to fulfill the emanated being and the desire of the emanate being is to receive fulfillment from the emanator who necessarily wants that because that is how he was created and therefore they are intertwined and opposite to each other to begin with and basically there could not be one without the other because what there is in one can only be completed by the other. The desire of the emanator to fulfill the emanated being, without the emanated being receiving fulfillment from the emanator, then the emanator appears in lack because it has no one to give to. It has a desire to give and the emanated being without the emanator is empty, lacking, suffering and so it turns out that they are interdependent, they are interconnected and we, in truth, we should see how all of creation is connected only to the emanator and the emanated being. Like how he starts this chapter with emanator and the emanated being.

Reading (36:27) “now we will explain how there are…”

18. R. (36:35) In the matter of the emanated, the will to receive.

Reading (36:43) “from Katnut to Gadlut…”

19. R. (37:38) The light of Ein Sof at the stage we are talking about, it was all under the rule of the upper light that creates the desire develops the desire and there is yet no feeling in the desire to receive itself about what it is and who it is, it is just under the control of the upper light only. Force of bestowal. Therefore there is no more to discuss about the created being here because there is no deficiency that appears yet not even any kind of deficiency meaning it doesn’t even matter who and what it is for but the desire itself is still not apparent in reality.

20. S. (38:34) Is the appearance of a deficiency, is it that sensation of the lack? Is that ultimately what we call desire, that the emanated being senses a lack? Is that the creation?

R. We still cannot talk about these discernments because we still can’t talk about the created being that feels because it does not have the sensation of the deficiency itself. We are still talking about the operations of the light which is now building, formatting the deficiency and once the deficiency undergoes four degrees and becomes established as a desire and performs the restriction on itself and wants something from itself after the restriction because in the restriction it distinguishes itself from the upper light, so you can say that a created being exists in some sort of disconnection from the emanator, from the Creator. Then you can talk about having two. For now we cannot. There is no light and no vessel. We still cannot talk about the created being itself therefore these questions are still irrelevant.

S. It is just a plan at the moment? It is just the plan and an intent. Is that what it is?

R. We do not even talk about a plan and intent here because even the plan is not revealed here. Okay?

21. S. (40:36) First of all it is great to study TES together with the world vessel. My question Rav, at first light filled all of reality then this empty air appeared. What is that?

R. He says that there is such a thing. He does not say any more than that. That is what you have been wanting to ask for the past half-hour?

S. That’s our future deficiency? The empty air?

R. I do not know what will happen in the future. I want to study along with the flow of the text and not jump ahead and not insist for half an hour with a question that is still not relevant here.

Reading item 7 (41:31)

22. R. (41:53) Yes, we still don’t have a lower one and there is nothing to add and that is the situation. Everything comes from above only there is still no created being because in order to have a created being you need several conditions, a deficiency, the ability to work with that deficiency, to reconnect with the emanator, demand of him to do something to have its own strength. We need to control its desire more or less, turn to the emanator with something for filling or for emptying. There are still no such qualities and the possibility of the emanated being, of the will to receive to perform on itself. This is why we are still not talking about a created being.

23. R. (43:14) Now we are talking only about the governance of the upper one over all of the will to receive that he created existence from absence so because the upper one is complete and in this complete manner he controls the desire he created, so there are no discernment in the desire. Everything is as one part, as one part. It is very similar to what we can see in the development, even in the development of embryos for example. You have like a piece of flesh and by influencing that piece of flesh by the influence of the upper one, that piece of flesh begins to divide into all kinds of parts and all kinds of systems begin to form there that already differentiate between each other but initially it is all just a piece of flesh. I’m speaking in this way on purpose so it is clear to everyone.

So the same goes for the upper light, only the influence of the upper light gradually on the desire it created, by this that desire becomes more complex, it divides, undergoes changes, becomes more complicated, more complex. Begins to feel itself, all kinds of parts, cells and veins begin to form in that desire and it is all according to the light that influences it. Meaning, when the Creator influences that piece of desire he creates in this desire systems, the same as exists in the desire of the Creator. This is why in the end that created being becomes like a replica, except in the will to receive, but a replica of the Creator. The only distinction between them is that one is a deficiency, a will to receive and the other is the abundance, the desire to love, to bestow.

(46:08) In other words even though the upper light, which contains everything, influences the desire it created, existence from absence but in that desire no changes appear yet because the upper light influences it in such a way that it still does not divide the desire into all the discernments that this desire will later acquire.

25. R. (47:02) In this we need to remember that each and every name we have in the wisdom of Kabbalah is only from the attainment of the lower ones according to how the lower ones reveal a certain phenomena, accordingly they name that phenomenon by a name and then it has its own existence, it has validity. So there is no such thing as a person who does not attain and attainment means the final understanding that exists in a spiritual phenomenon. So in the wisdom of Kabbalah there is no such thing as naming something just like that by people who do not attain that phenomenon to the fullest. This is why usually in the wisdom of Kabbalah Kabbalists check the writer, the speaker to what extent he has complete attainment of what he is talking about or writing about. Yes?

Reading (48:20) “We cannot excuse ourselves by saying…”

26. R. (50:25) I just don’t understand. Is it clear, unclear? Is this trivial, not even worth scrutinizing? You just want to continue?

S. I think these things are not trivial at all. I think we should linger on them. Maybe you should read the first item of the ARI and say it to us in words that are closer to us.

R. What item one?

S. We just finished item one, the inner light of it so maybe to get a picture, there were many many things here, maybe you can read item one from the ARI and then go to some questions so we have some foundation otherwise we don’t get any of it.

R. Is that what you think? But there are questions so maybe I’ll answer questions and then I’ll have to explain less later.

27. S. (51:23) What is more important, to maintain the intention or go into these technical definitions?

R. We need to come to a state where there are no technical definitions here. We want to shift from them to feelings in us because although we have restriction, the screen, reflected light, discernments of coarseness and refinement, and they seem technical to us, we have to shift them into the feelings in us, to try to feel these things. It is like it is as if when you speak to an excerpt even in mechanics when you speak with him he explains to you what happens in some machine for example but he feels it inside, it is in him, it is how when he tells you, he has within him this model, depiction, this image of a mechanical block and how it operates. Do you understand?

The same goes here. We have to try to put together in us that model that the ARI and Baal HaSulam explain to us here. That these things exist in us within our desire and they are hidden from us and as much as we may try to depict these things in us, what they are, where they are, how they operate, even if it is incorrect, even if we depict it like kids who are playing with something that is not real but these things advance us to the real feeling. By this we build within us these connections, this model, in our feelings; therefore, we should as much as he explains to us, we should try here and there to create some sort of a depiction, to kind of imagine what he is explaining. You have to work on this emotionally, emotionally. This is very important otherwise we will not achieve attainment because attainment is first and foremost in the feeling, in the desire. Okay?

28. S. (54:27) So what is attainment? We always talk about it in the feeling, in the desire, what is it?

R. Attainment means I can imagine in my desire, I can’t depict in my desire, something that does not belong to the will to receive but belongs to a desire that works in bestowal, to the desire to bestow. How do I depict it? After I receive from above the power of bestowal which does not exist in me because I’m a created being and I am created only in the force of reception but if I receive from above the force of bestowal, then I can work with my will to receive, with the force, with a power of bestowal and then I arrange my desire so it works according to the program of bestowal, the software of bestowal. Before I receive such an ability, as much as it may seem to me as if I am giving and bestowing upon others it is only a concealed manner of reception. I am lying to myself that I’m giving and bestowing, that I love someone etc. There is no such thing. Only after I can receive from above a special force that arranges, builds within me an ability to understand and think this way and plan myself in bestowal, then I do it. This is what we want to achieve.

29. S. (56:22) Can you yourself repeat why it sometimes says light of Ein Sof and other times just Ein Sof?

R. Yes. If we are talking about bestowal from the Creator then we talk about the light of Ein Sof, if we are talking about the reality itself without how it influences us then we say Ein Sof. We will understand it by using the text.

30. S. (57:05) We have already used kabbalistic terms in the beginning of the study like restriction and Sium, Sof and things we weren’t supposed to learn before. How important is it to learn, to know the study of Pticha before going to the study of TES?

R. Go along with us and listen and learn and you will see you from experience, from what we are learning, it will fall into place.

S. The question was if you need to learn Pticha somewhat before you approach this study? It is a general question for everyone.

R. Yes and no. Of course the preface is a short way by which we can somehow receive a general picture about the whole spiritual structure of reality but we get into it as we get into it now and it is fine, we will do it.

31. S. (58:18) The text says that the restriction took place after Ein Sof. It is really hard to imagine before or after Ein Sof.

R. I do not understand why we are asking about this because we didn’t talk about the restriction yet. Now he is only giving us a few definitions before these discernment, so do not be confused.

32. S. (59:00) You said the most important thing is not to be a partition between what is written and what I feel. What is this partition mostly?

R. That I want to depict myself all of those things that the book talks about.

S. And what not to do?

R. That is the most important and try to imagine it, imagine or depict these things as tangibly as possible. To understand how it is done, where it is done and in what way, that it all happens in my desire and I have to change my desire so as to feel what the book writes about. The book writes what should happen in my desire and then I am constantly searching for how what is depicted in the book happens within my desire.

33. S. (01:00:15) About the words vacant space he writes that the greatness of reception was in wholeness in Ein Sof and the wholeness was only made on that. What is the Gadlut of reception?

R. We have not learned it, do not jump. He doesn’t have a choice. He begins to explain to us a few things and touches them a little bit. Do not go deeper, don’t go beyond that, lets go with the text. You see how I am avoiding explaining things. Let us go along with him, let us flow with him even though it is unclear now and he doesn’t explain now let us go along with him and see how he adds. I am willing to go with him, he says half of a word then half a word is enough for me. I will not insist now and demand for everything he writes about to make it clear to me to the fullest. I want my desire, listen, I want my desire to change and begin to acquire all kinds of influences from the upper light so I will feel myself as a created being who is under the influence of the emanator. This is what I want and not to understand intellectually but out of what happens in me within my desire, out of this, so I will first have a feeling and then an attainment of what I feel. This is what I want to come too. Otherwise I will be a wise guy not feeling but rather I do all kinds of intellectual manipulation with their names.

34. S. (01:02:40) The feeling of the text needs to be within me or within us as a ten?

R. We will talk about it later. I do not want to be confused with this now too. Of course afterwards we will work with these discernments between us.

S. Until then is it correct to discuss it, to do some workshop on this or not?

R. No. I do not want to add right now to these discernments that we are talking about now. The acts of connection between us, of course it has to be there, but not immediately. It will burden us with something we will not be able to come out of.

S. I want to add as well, when we read the texts we can try to look for these things internally, emotionally, where is it in my desire? And we can ask for the light that reforms to correct the friends and so on. I cannot combine both. Either I am looking for things within me or I’m praying for the friends.

R. I’m looking within me. I do not want to confuse myself, I do not have such broad discernments, so I am looking within me

35. S. (01:04:21) When we learn TES there is a feeling that we are learning the actions of the Creator and the greatness of the Creator appears. I always had a problem where to bring the greatness of the Creator. So how correct is it to relate to that because when we learn the articles it is about how we learn how to build our desire, we also need the greatness of the Creator. So there is like a new fountain here.

R. Fine, I am happy that it influences you this way.In this way we will not be able to advance if I start answering all of those questions that are not directly related to the text.

36. S. (01:05:31) When you say the example of the mechanic that feels the parts of the car within himself you gave the example of how we should act. We miss the condition, we do not know what we need to move within ourselves. Do we need to work with our imagination? This is not clear.

R. We need to work with our feelings. I want to feel my desire and how my desire is established by the upper force and what the upper force wants from us when it awakens the desire in me.

37. S. (01:06:33) I hope the question is in the right place. In terms of feeling, at first he is describing one feeling of the light of Ein Sof and then there is a feeling of the light of Hochma and the light of Hassadim.

R. It is not for now, not for now. Not yet.

S. But he writes in item five that there is light of Hassadim without the light of Hochma.

38. S. (01:07:02) You said before that I have to look within me. What do I have to search within me about these things?

R. I want to search in me for the desire itself and how that desire is directed by the upper force. That that desire in me changes and that that desire comes to me from above, from the upper force. This is what I need to feel because besides the emanator and emanated being there is nothing. The emanator is the upper light, the upper force which creates in us, in the emanated beings a desire and changes that desire. Those two things I need to eventually discover. So now I need to focus on my desire and search who is governing my desire.

39. S. (01:08:04) The desire if I heard it correctly has its own original and complete form that was made for correction and in our perception we divide it into fragments. We have to somehow collect all of that and begin to perceive everything as one complete desire?

R. Yes, correct. We will come to it gradually. You are asking about what will happen later.

40. S. (01:08:48) When the desire connects between all of the data?

R. I do not understand the question.

S. In order to connect some line of even the simplest emotion between all the data that was given to us now, so the word, let’s call it craving, is between how the upper light holds everything and what it is developing?

R. So what is the question?

S. Should we relate to the word craving in some way?

R. I did not see this word here that it really stands out. Normally a yearning refers to the desire that comes from the created being and the created being participates in this and feels an additional desire on its own part and this we still do not have here.

S. But from the magician story.

R. I do not know what magician. We are studying what we have here. Don’t confuse everyone.

41. S. (1:10:10) You said before that we should participate with our feelings in what we are reading. What does it mean to participate?

R. Right now I’m reading what the Ari and Baal HaSulam write for me, two great Kabbalists and I want to receive from this as much as possible an influence on myself. It will not help me if I fill myself up with technical definitions. It will not help me. I can draw, I can do whatever I want, it will not help me. Only one thing will help me, I am a desire, I have to feel all of those phenomena. for all those phenomena of the influence of the upper light on me .within the desire and that is what he writes for us here. That it all happens within the created being and the created being is the will to receive, so how can I, in my will to receive, receive the influence from above, from the emanator and feel in this influence that I am receiving it from the emanator, from what emanator? What he wants of me, how do I arrange myself, organize myself to get closer to the emanator, to adhere to him. I have to organize all of that in my will to receive according to the emanator. That is the whole of the wisdom of Kabbalah that we have to implement. This is what we are learning: how I organize myself with respect to the emanator. He is the giver. I am the receiver. How do I, how can I awaken from within my will to receive, to him, with the right response the right reaction. That is it.

(01:13:10) What happened was that in that desire there was a change, in the upper desire with respect to the future created being and that desire, besides creating the created being, now to create around the created being, within the created being, next to the created being to create worlds. What for? To emanate within these worlds emanated beings. Meaning some kind of environment around the future created being first of all. When It came upon his simple will to create the worlds and emulate the emanated beings within the worlds. What for? To bring to light the perfection of his names and appellations. It is how the Creator wants to reveal the perfection of his operations, not the operations themselves but such operations that reveal his wholeness, his completeness, which was the reason for the creation of the worlds. As he writes in the title for item two, the reason for creation was the revelation of his names and appellations. In other words his operations, his actions towards the created beings. Right? That is it.

However because He created it, this existence from absence, and He develops it to be as big and opposite as possible from the Creator; it comes from Love, from good relation from the Creator to the created beings, so the created beings will be separate, independent from the Creator. That is why we should not think that it is some kind of punishment, no. It is for us to be independent, prominent, big, strong just like the Creator. Then, later we will be able to correct ourselves, bit by bit, gradually and this is how we will reach ‘wholeness’.

46. S. (01:23:46) Why did the Creator make it such that the creation is divided into so many little parts, even in the smallest part we will be able to find the Creator?

R. So that we can correct ourselves. The division to so many pieces and phenomena is only for us to correct ourselves as specifically for each one correcting something specific, but connection with all the corrections that others do and connecting against his desire and by that he acquires the corrections of others and by that each one reach a state that he feels the whole Creator. Look at this special trick: the special ability by the smallest created being to reach a state that he’s the greatest, like the Creator, whole.

R. Ein Sof, infinity, is not the Creator. Ein Sof is a state of The Creation.

S. How do we depict ‘the big simple unification’?

R. ‘Simple unification’ is because the will to receive in Ein Sof is not yet revealed; it is the opposite of the will to bestow that is under the complete control of the Creator, like an embryo in his mother; so there is no difference between him and the mother. That’s why the embryo uses everything the mother has and it doesn’t cause him any harm and it does not harm the mother as well because he is completely annulled to her. That is what we have in Ein Sof. But later we will become separate from Ein Sof and we start existing on our own, like a baby being born from his mother and then he grows. And, when we grow in spirituality according to how much we grow in our will to receive and become opposite from the Creator, we should make our adaptation to the Creator. These are the stages of our correction basically.

48. S. (01:27:17) When we want to feel bestowal on our will to receive, we do not search for an intellectual answer or response but in our hearts, we want to feel the answer or not even that?

R. We should try to feel that in our emotion, in our heart, yes? When we come to learn The Wisdom of Kabbalah we should come to feeling and our understanding will be within what we feel. It is a kind of internal psychology of ours. Otherwise we won’t attain creation, our attainment can only be within our desires. This is what the Creator has created in us; we are desires, desires to feel, desires to receive, we feel either good or bad. And, we should give it different grades and by that to later advance and come closer to the Creator and to attain Him. We only developed the emotion, only emotion. That is why our whole problem is to reach a feeling of others, a feeling of friends. So, as I will feel a friend as I feel myself, this is called “me reaching corrections”.

S. You said that we will reveal something spiritual when we do feel something new that we never had. Is that a new feeling we will have with the friends with the ten, is it what is about to be revealed to us?

R. Yes. We should go through many stages maybe until we decide that we have no choice but to feel each other even though we are blocked in a way, isolated, each and every one is closed within himself we are going to have to tear apart these external wrapping to start connecting in our desires and to make out of all our desires, One Desire, that is connected. And, in this connection of different desires, separate desires, we’re going to start attaining the Creator this is the meaning of “you have made me”: Where with each egoistic desire when we blow up this egoistic envelope and we connect between ourselves, we connect and connect and connect. By that we make up the form of the Creator and this is the meaning “you have made me”. Only this way it should happen. Kabbalists explain this to us.

49. S. (01:30:55) What is the forms of the desire?

There is no Creator without the Creator being.

R. Yes, that’s correct.

53. S. (01:34:33) So, we actually need to go through a certain way of attaining nothing, so we need to attain the path of all those different forms?

R. Out of us connecting, we discover the nature of the Creator. It is impossible to discover it in a different way.

54. S. (01:38:53) Why did we start to Study of TES?

R. R. It is impossible to perceive it in your intellect, if you think you can it is a mistake. You can only get it in your emotion, only in the emotion and the emotion has to come to us when we try to come closer to each other. All in all the purpose of creation is for us to be connected in our desires and in this way the Creator will be revealed, specifically in the corrective connections between us.

57. S. (01:43:53) It would be easier to relate the whole study of Passover to the ego. How can we relate to it, inside, with the study of TES?

R. We’re talking about it, we are talking about it. We have to depict within the study of TES, we have to imagine to ourselves how we come closer to each other, how we are connecting to each other, so what we learn will be felt in us. Later we will talk about the screen. So, to have a screen here inside, and on the screen I will feel what is happening in spirituality. Meaning my desire which is aimed in order to bestow to connect to the friends; this desire is the screen and it will show me how we enter spirituality, the spiritual feeling. The spiritual feelings can only be between one person and another and between us to as much as we want despite the difference between us to be connected as one, helping, coming closer; accordingly we attain the Creator because all we attain is Him.

58. S. (01:45:28) In creation, the desire started from the restriction?

R. No, the desire comes before the restriction. The will to receive is before the restriction, the restriction is already a response from the created being.

59. S. (01:45:50) What happened in the upper light, what was the reason that he restricted himself to a point?

R. We haven’t learned this yet, so I don’t want to hear questions about things we haven’t learned yet.

R. In the lesson you want to annul your ego by practically connecting with the friends and together all of you. if you come to a state that everyone is annulled to each other then you reach a ten as one. I would say even more than that, the moment you connect all the nine friends with respect to the tenth friend becomes as nine Sefirot that pass the light to him, that is how each one is with the others. This is considered that from the desire to receive specifically a system is made that passes the light and it increases the light and perceives it, works with it as a reflected light. We will practically learn but the principle is simple, each one wants to serve his friends and all of us together we reach a state that we’re making a mechanism that resembles the source of light as the Creator.

R. What is between us is our ego. If we restrict it, meaning annul it and then make it from being coarse to being refined, from minus to plus, when we use it as an amplifier we come to the light which we receive from the Creator 620 times greater. By us above our desire to connect ourselves and by that perform and create a system of amplification and that is why the Creator can say “you have made me” because without the created being there is no Creator, there is nothing but a small spark. By us in connection between us above our egos we invert darkness into light, the resistance into overcoming and then the little light which we received from the Creator does not become greater it becomes greater by us working with our eoo as the amplifier, where are we transfer the little white through the resistance s between us and through the resistances between us move the little light to a big light, how? How much, to the extent we can connect between us above our egos this works out to be 620 times.

It is all thanks to our will to receive where specifically this resistance becomes overcoming and therefore it’s written, anyone who is greater than his friend, his inclination is greater, where the big will to receive we invert to becoming an amplifier to the small desire. Therefore it turns out that we, through this come to the state where we become the source of the light like the Creator although there is nothing like that in us. I just received from him just a small spark and by our annulments towards one another in the connection between us we are each an amplification of the small spark to great light. This is how we reveal the Creator’s potential, his power, his Force than mind, wisdom, his desire, his love towards us, that is what we reveal and if we it weren’t for our work it won’t happen. I don’t quite have the words but add to this from yourselves and you see how great of a matter this is.

S. Only to be precise here, you feel your resistance of your ego, you rise above them, you incorporate in the friends, you feel the friends, now what are we emanating here, you said strengthen and?

R. We are still not yet in that when we will truly be able to restrict our will to receive and start to use it in order to bestow, you will see how the little light that we have which is received from the Creator, that only one little spark, the extent to which we can connect the sparks together that are in us together and to intensify by overcoming our ego, by overcoming the rejection between us. R. Yes.

R. When the Creator and the created being connect together.

R. The condition is simple: you want to feel what you’re reading between you and the friends.

R. In connection with the friends in order to discover in the relations between you those phenomena that you’re reading about in the study of TES.

S. So how do I draw the light that reforms, what should I think?

R. You want to feel the connection between you and what you’re reading to be revealed in the connection between you.

72. S. (02:05:30) There is a very special feeling after what we went through in the Passover as if more ability to come out to the friends. The question is where do I come out to, what does it mean to think and to fill out of the vessel?

R. You try to observe the center of the ten.

73. S. (02:06:16) To the extent that we go into the internal feeling as we read, should I feel the increments of the desire of the will to bestow or simply to organize my ten, what is the direction?

R. Direction that you want to be connected with your friends above your ego. That is it, to annul your ego as if it’s not there, you want to be connected to them that way.

74. S. (02:07:06) My question is if I try to think about how to organize my emotion to the emanator, how can I combine these thoughts with a thought about the connection between us and the connection with the ten?

R. That is only through your efforts, I cannot explain such a thing, it’s only according to feeling and according to you feeling you will discover it, there are such states that you cannot explain until you they occur and you see how they occur.

R. Yes, Malchut of Ein Sof is incorporated in Ein Sof.

S. What does it mean it restricted itself?
