1.Rav’s Introduction: (00:23) Yes, actually in this introduction the Baal HaSulam wants to examine for us all of the issues that relate to the attainment of spirituality. Why do we need TES, why do we need to study the Torah, why is it called the study of the Torah, in which stages and under which conditions do we need to study, what does it need to bring us, and how to approach it in the preparation between us in the preparation for the study itself, and what are we going to achieve, what should we expect? All of these things he is going to examine here because the study of the ten Sefirot, TES in itself that was his life’s work, and actually it seems that it is written to somebody who is already in the spiritual attainment and the person who is not in spiritual attainment he reads things which he cannot fully understand what it is about and in general the person who reads these words but he’s not in these states that the book speaks about and how to make it so that the person would know, so here the Baal HaSulam explains to us those conditions that we need to acquire over ourselves, over our brain and heart, mostly the heart and then the we will be able to advance through TES, through studying from this book so it is not just going to be studying what is written in the book but the study itself will bring as progress, the reforming light, so let’s see how he continues with this.

2. R. (04:28) Yes, this specifically needs an explanation because for the sake of the Creator it is a clear it is written to bring contentment for the Creator we do it for him, all that he does for us we are also doing it for him, and then with this intentions I for him and he for me we started to feel each other or at least I start to feel him and understand him and attain him, but how does it relate to the Torah? What is the Torah itself? What I study or the light that I achieve, meaning the force that I achieve through the study? What is Torah Lishma also not for the sake of the Creator but for the sake of the Torah? That is not clear but apparently this is something very special related to spiritual attainment and so what does it mean to study for the name or for the sake of the Torah?

3. R. (06:54)  Meaning it depends on how we engage in the Torah. What it is that we study what do we want to get from the Torah so that if we’re searching there for forces in order to bestow then we get them eventually if the study is in order to bestow which is called Lishma, for her sake, and if we study and we do not have the intention to reach bestowal then we do not get anything until we will change our intention, until our desire will change to be for the sake of the Torah meaning it would be the Torah for life. Life in spirituality means a life of bestowal in the force of bestowal this is why he says that again the words require explanation to understand how and by what the holy Torah becomes a potion of death for him, it is written that the Torah can be the potion of life or the potion of death, and why this force existing in the Torah can be the potion of life or the potion of death, truly it can work in both directions.

4. R. (08:48) Yes, the problem is how do we study Torah? Are we studying the Torah in order to achieve the force of bestowal, love, connection, the correction of the will to receive in the end, or are we studying it in order to know, to be wise, and to fill our ego? So the difference is in respect to the will to receive within us, either we want to correct it to bestowal, love, connection between us or we need to fill it and by that to feel that we are full, we are wise and a great and this is the difference in the study of the Torah.

5. R. (10:59) That is if we study some science then according to our effort according to our labor we eventually acquire it and the wisdom of the Torah it is also a wisdom a science that I attain through my effort my exertion my investment, so if I invest in and want to achieve a certain goal how can we say about this goal that I find it because finding it is some kind of something where we come to meet it not through the study, the work, the labor but it is a matter of luck.

6. R. (13:17) This means that there is a problem here. We do not know how to approach the study of the Torah although we know that for this study we have to develop in us special qualities special feelings special deficiency for the revelation of the Creator, so without the proper study we cannot attain him we cannot understand, discover him, because the study should build in us  special qualities first of all, such qualities that would be directed specifically to finding the Creator, “Those who seek me shall find me,” and later on by searching for him in some special direction with a special method then we will begin to discover him gradually in a gradual methodical manner.

7. R. (15:32) This means that the reason for the concealment of the Creator, the fact that the Creator is hidden and we cannot understand him we cannot discover him that the problem is that this is the greatest problem and that concealment is what gives us all the problems the troubles the suffering if the Creator certainly as we all understand it, if the Creator would be revealed then certainly we would get rid of all of our problems and troubles as he continues in this the next item

8. R. (17:47) Because if we all of us are built from the will to receive then with respect to the will to receive it becomes clear to us that if there is something that is good for it for the will to receive and what is bad for it, for the will to receive then we know precisely instinctively, simply, that for the good thing we are going to come closer and as for the bad thing we’re staying away from it and this way we would aim ourselves, we would actually be directed by nature by the Creator in a way that is truly, how to put it, instinctively we would approach the good and run away from the evil and then it would be impossible to ask whether we are doing good things or not because for sure by nature we would be aimed so as to approach the good and run away from the bad so why didn’t the Creator create nature in that way so that we behave in that way?

9. R. (19:27) Because they would behave according to the single force that would be pulling them or rejecting them, either this way or that way, and they would have no free choice but rather aiming towards the good things and staying away from the bad.

10. R. (21:15) This means that because the providence of the Creator is confused and disorganized so that we see good things before us and bad things before us and then we could for sure choose the  good and run away, stay away from the bad but that providence is not clear therefore we do not know what to do and each moment in our lives we do not know what are we living for, and how to live, and what to prefer over what and so on and so forth, and so our whole life seems to us very confused and we do not know how to arrange ourselves, arrange life around us, arrange the society, the family each and everything, we simply do not know. We say that we are even in some system which is a wise system, a system of guidance and Providence, and we exist in it and all of our actions, our actions that are scrutinized as it should be in nature because it is all forces, but we do not see that, we do not know that, there is concealment over all of these things. It’s as if we are in some forest and it is dark and we are confused disoriented we do not know where to go we walk around between the trees but what is happening to us we do not know what to choose, even now we do not yet know are the on the right path or not we have doubts even these doubts why do they come to us, this all pertains to the degree of Adam but not to the animate degree. Animals do not have such problems, how to live, in which way to live, what to live for, they are constantly aimed towards how to make it the best for their existence, and we do not know how to do the best, we still have that question.

11. S. (24:02) Why does a person start to discover these forces that you talked about specifically when he is studying Lishma, for her name?

R. Even before that. We are not yet in Torah Lishma, for her sake,  we want to reach that but later on when we already attain the system, when we start to attain the system of guidance and Providence gradually through all one hundred twenty five degrees until the end of correction, when we start to attain the system gradually correctly how to arrange ourselves with our qualities and desires that are deeper and deeper and the more mixed and complex then we start there to arrange the entire system so that it will be Lishma but for the time being, no, for the time being  we are in preparation. Our state is called the time of preparation.

S. I mean why does the person altogether begin to reveal the spiritual  world, these forces that bestow upon him specifically through the study of Lishma?

R. How else would you do it? If you are in the study of nature like physics or it does not matter what, some science, then if you do not study how can you attain nature? It is the same here. What does it mean, the wisdom or the science of Kabbalah? It is simply the wisdom of nature how everything is interconnected in the form of a gradual or an also complete connection. This becomes clear to the person who wants to attain the general system in his life which, all in all, is called the Creator that he exists in this system, the system is managing him and demands of the person to perform certain actions on his side as well. If it would not be required from the person to respond in a certain way besides the way he is built by nature then he would remain on the animate level just like animals, they do everything instinctively, whereas we need to learn where is the boundary of our participation and how can we arrange ourselves in the connections between us, the relations between us, so out of the connection between us when we build this inner system of interconnection between us, how will we build this internal system of interconnection such that it will resemble the general system of the entire nature, of the whole of nature means the Creator, the Upper force and we will build between us such relations so that they too will be as like that general system, meaning we build the Creator in the relations between us through egoistic relations bad ones incorrect ones that on purpose this is how they are a broken so that we will build them and put together the system and inside this system we will discover, “Oh this is the Creator.”

S. Our relations, our attitudes in the ten that’s what’s called the study? 

R. We study different texts from Kabbalists and through their influence over us we want to build relations between us so that they will be called Creator, BoReh. This is what we need to do. Of course in building these relations, they are called BoReh, come and see, that we do something and we discover the result of what we did so that we out of that need to understand what was given to us to do and what we need to get from above, from the Creator, from the Upper force and this is how we advance, “You have made me” as it is written the Creator is telling us you have made me.

S. Let’s say I have friends now, a friend is sitting next to me and others in the ten and we are doing different actions, we are awakening one other, at which point does it become Lishma?

R. To the extent that you, together, want to put together a system that will be entirely in bestowal in connection in mutual support then by such deeds by such efforts you also turn to the Upper force to the Upper light so that he will help you and he will participate in it and then you attain that the connection between you becomes correct, good, in mutual bestowal, in mutual connection and this is called Arvut, mutual guarantee, as we are also learning in parallel to the introduction to TES. This is how we achieve it. We discover the relations between us that are called BoReh.

12. S. (30:33) Lately, more and more, I feel myself more confused than before. You said that on the level of speaking the person is always more complex, complicated. What is the difference in these confusions?

R. We go through all kinds of different states of confusion of weakness even states in which we disregard everything we do not want anything we just want to descend from our degree to the animate degree and on the animate degree we just live like animals, we have instincts the desires to receive, and we just want to realize them as they are. It is not that through them through a special usage of them we want to reach special things to stand above our instinct, no, it is enough for us to have just that and then we descend truly all the way down to the animate degree and our work is specifically in that that we will establish between as such relations which we also study in the articles of ArvutMatan Torah, and other such articles the entire wisdom of Kabbalah talks about that, that all of this was given to man in order for him to attain the Creator. Why wasn’t the Torah given to people thousands and thousands of years ago but rather, all in all, it just started five thousand years ago and even that was done gradually until it was revealed more and more through unique individuals and these days it is reaching everyone. Why does the Torah enter so slowly into the human society, because we need people who grow wiser who will learn from their lives, who will put together systems and they will fail in them and they will rise from them and this is how it is, and then it is possible to bring them some method and explain that through this method they can connect to the Upper force that is managing them and to resemble this Upper force and then they can reach a state where they become as God knowing the good and the bad.

S. If I understood correctly maybe the opposite of this confusion is to not run away from the state of the beast but despite the confusion to seek…

R. If we enter into our path then there is no way I’m going to leave the Creator unless of course he can erase from me all of my memories and my desires in different forms and levels, and he can drop me and whichever way he sees fit, but I myself do not leave the contact with him. It should be as tight and secure as possible.

13. S. (34:32)  At the beginning of excerpt thirty-eight there’s an excerpt of Lo Lishma and Lishma and how we do not learn, the undesirable study and those who study this way it becomes poison, but in the study we’re not always studying Lishma, for her sake, there are many falls, descents where we are studying in our intellect and then it becomes poison. What happens in such a state?

R. We will reach that. We’re not yet Lishma, we’re not yet in Lishma or in Lo Lishma these are degrees when we are already in spiritual attainment. There you have this possibility to be in Lo Lishma or in Lishma. We are not yet in these two states, we will reach it and we will see it, do not worry it will not run away from us, nothing will run away from us on the path, but it’s good that you asked.

14. S. (35:44) It speaks about gratitude that we can pray every single day. What is it that you pray all day long? What is that state?

R. We will talk about that as well. To pray also means that I want to be in tight contact with the Creator in all of my actions in all of my states, that’s it, that I am constantly connected or in contact with Him.

15. S. (36:24) It seems that this part of the study of the introduction talks about our times, about what is happening in our tens also, and it seems like we are still missing a little thing so that we will be able to hold on to that degree in which we would be able to give the preference in our meetings. The more we advance in our study, we go into such a depth, we go into bigger obstacles. How can we  grip on more to the study so that people will not run away from all the disturbances that come their way?

R. All the disturbances we receive are to build us and not to make us run away from one another. All the disturbances for us to build a network of connection between us called the Creator as these disturbances are meant for us to build upon these disturbances connections, because without the disturbances we will not know how to connect those obstacles as connections between us therefore these connections are our goal and the disturbances are not disturbances but rather the workplace from which we learn what the Creator does between us, why He  separates us from one another in such a way, in such a unique special way, such that from the separation that he makes between us and from connection that we want to perform between us upon his separation and we demand from him, “Do instead of the separation, connection” and by that we actually do not need a separation or connection, by that we connect to him which is the true goal of the whole action and by us connecting to him we attain him and we rise to his degree. 

16. S. (38:59) We try to connect and to aim towards Lishma. How do we know that this is not some tactic of the ego, some trick it’s playing on us?

R. We will learn about this along the way. We simply need methodically to try and see this introduction as it clothes between us. The main thing is between us not in my brain but rather through my mind and heart to the connection between us more and more and more, how I see this network of connection between us such that it is established more and built day after day this way. That’s the study which is called the study of Torah.

17. S. (40:04) I feel like you’ve explained very well how we behave and operate in Providence. What would be open Providence? What would that be in open Providence?

R. Open revealed Providence is where the desires and intentions of my actions are arranged in such a manner that they are adapted, suitable to the Creator where also the Creator in my place would do so and therefore I too in my state do so, connect to others, bestow to everyone, arrange everyone in a connection between them in a specific manner in which I, by which I erect restore the network of connection in the system of Adam HaRishon. That’s called correcting the system. 

18. S. (41:51) In continuation to the previous question, what is the difference between the time of preparation that you said we are in it right now to the state of Lo Lishma?

R. We will learn what Lo Lishma and what Lishma is soon it will be clearer to us of what is happening in what states we need to be in Lo Lishma and Lishma how they support each other. There is no such thing that we go through every single state without any benefit, rather we need to learn from each state how it can assist in us reaching the corrected state, the complete connection.

S. You said there is the issue there that if you don’t engage in the Mitzvah you choke or you know exactly, why doesn’t it happen to us like that in the time of preparation so that we learn how to do it and then we could advance from that state to the next state?

R. You will understand this with a little patience. Why? It doesn’t work according to your intellect it works according to our nature how we need to be corrected, where you come to some engine that does not work then you can put your hand into anything and start learning how to deal with it how to do something to it, but it is not, it won’t help you. First we need to know who you are dealing with, what you want to do, what the goal is, how it works correctly, and so on. That is what he wants to explain to us in this introduction. Be patient and don’t jump.

19. S. (44:11) We talked about the fact that the person could wish you would pray all day and you said that when the person constantly tries to be in  contact with the Creator, What is in practice that the person constantly tries to always tries to be in close to the Creator, Connect to him?

R. Bestowal, that he wants to bestow to everyone. He wants to resemble. to be similar to the Creator. This is called to be closer to the Creator.

20. S. (44:46) What does it mean to be under the Creator’s control?

R. I want the force of bestowal to control me and  to guide my mind and heart.

21. S. (45:21) Can the wisdom of Kabbalah also become the potion of death? 

R. If it is truly the wisdom of Kabbalah, no. Around it, it could be a lot and specifically there are great dangers when a person does not study correctly, and reach is what we call the potion of death. The potion of death means that he fulfills his egoistic will to receive and cannot exit that. The Creator does the corrections on him later but the person himself  can enter into such a state.

22. S .(46:03 ) How to know who to prefer in every moment in life? 

R. Connection, there is no more, only a single thing. We learn this and we learned it a thousand times, but you see how undesirable this is, and we always ask. So what to do?

23. S. (46:31) How can a person in the ten build himself and check himself so the Torah doesn’t become the potion of death but that the Torah will always be the potion of life?

R. By the person incorporating into the society, in the connection with everybody by that he can come to a state that his work becomes the correct work.

24. S. (47:08) It says in Item 44, “Thus you see that all we need in our work is open providence”. The question is, why do we have to walk with our eyes shut, and to  each time rise with faith above reason?

R. Specifically because we do not have open disclosed providence. In order to get there we have to go with our eyes shut as we close our corporeal eyes, our egoistic eyes and we move to open eyes which are eyes that see the light of bestowal, the light of connection. Then through it we already come to the correct form of connection.

25. S. (48:06) When I study alone during the study using an inner dialogue there is a feeling that there are revelations and feelings. How can I develop these same feelings and when we go over the same material in the ten?

R. This is our work ]where we need to integrate into the ten and try to connect between us and from our connection  we then discover the connection between us. To the extent of connection between us reveals the one force that connects us. Then we begin to learn his fashion of connections with us and between us and this is how gradually we attain the Creator 

26. S. (49:17) Are there differences between the questions of men and women in relation to the goal? 

R. There is no big difference between the question of men and women, and you can see how we are different from one another, but it is like a family. Each asks from his side it functions in his own way but altogether we do reveal the one goal. Each of us approaches this in his or her own manner. That is not a problem. We will get there and attain it.

27. S. (50:21) What is the potion of death that he writes about? Does the potion of death kill the will to receive or the person on the spiritual path?

R. The potion of death, we will learn it. It is a special force that controls us, we are only talking about forces. There is nothing else to talk about but forces. We are talking about a force that draws us to receive and this is called the potion of death. 

S. But death is expressed in what ?

R. Death is in order to receive, It is against the Creator which is in order to bestow.

28. S. (51:11) I want to be precise about a year ago I asked you if we are in Lo Lishma or outside of that and you said that Bnei Baruch is in Lo Lishma but now you said we are not here yet.

R. Each time, until we get to Lishma we are on the path, on the way there. On the way to Lishma, we are in the attainment of the Lo Lishma and not in the attainment of Lo Lishma. These are the states we go through. Therefore this is how we build ourselves. Once a person understands he is in Lo Lishma and soon he will read the definitions and once he does not understand that he feels but he’s kind of between heaven and earth he does not know exactly how he needs to do and what he needs to approach.

29. S. (52:28) Why isn’t the condition of studying in order to bestow contentment to the Creator enough? Why are there additional conditions beyond that?

R. If you learn only by your intellect then you can actually become a scientist, but our work is to correct our heart. The desires and intentions that belong to the heart. This is why it does not help just to activate your brain you need to enact your feelings and the emotions and your heart. As it is written that the Creator demands all of our hearts, you are not engaged in wisdom alone. You are engaged in the wisdom of Kabbalah. The wisdom of how to receive the revelation of the Creator in a person. Through the wisdom you arrange the qualities, the intentions, the desires of yours, in order to attain, to grasp the Creator and then you feel what it means come and see 

BoReh, When something comes and dresses in you and you say, oh this is the Creator. Therefore this is why this wisdom is called the wisdom of reception. How to receive the revelation of the Creator.

Excerpt 45 (54:21) When we closely examine the attainment of Providence

30. R. (55:35) We have the providence of concealing the face and a revelation of the face. In the two discernments we have single concealment and double concealment. These four degrees we need to go through but not learn them now, but we will learn them a little. The main thing is to go through them in us by our vessels, which hide everything from us, and we need to correct them gradually until we come from the attainment of reward and punishment to the providence of the revelation of face and then from the revelation of face to the eternal providence, complete providence, and all this, in every single revelation comes to us by a little concealment and a little revelation, a little concealment and a little revelation. Because we need to feel where we are, and in our feeling of where we are we always differentiate between light and darkness, shade, and light. Hence these forms of providence are relative to us, they must happen to us so that from the darkness we will attain light. From the shade or the shadow we will reveal revelation.

31. R. (58:34) Meaning we start from a state where we do not understand all together where we are. Then slowly providence begins to be disclosed to us. It is revealed more and then less, more, and then less revealed. This is how we learn and that is how it is in all our studies no matter where we study. When we come to school as little children also, a little more a little less and this is how we learn everything because the main thing for us, is to differentiate between something and its’ opposite and this is how it is also in this Wisdom of Kabbalah in the attainment of the Creator. Where the Creator is revealed from a thing and its opposite, between light and darkness. That is where we are between something being clear and unclear and we do not have to be running away from something that is unclear. On the contrary, the extent in which we advance will make us know and recognize and even respect more the states of concealment. Because specifically from concealment we come to revelation and understand and feel and reveal the Creator.

32. S. (01:00:01) According to intellect first the person should understand that he is in concealment, so first we are in double concealment and then single concealment. In practice it should be the other way around. The more a person advances it goes from an initial state of ordinary concealment to double concealment. Is that right?

R. It depends how you interpret it. Yes, I understand you.

33. S. (01:00:48) When the concealment strengthens it feels weaker to adhere to the Creator, to continue. Because everything appears opposite to you, so what can you hold on to so it is true, and you can hold on to it and not just something in the air?

R. This is exactly what concealment gives us. When you are talking to a simple person he says, what’s not clear, it’s clear, like this and like that. When you talk to a person who understands more, a little deeper in the matter he says, no there are doubts here, to check, we need to understand, we need to do some scrutinies along the way. It’s just like in the hospital, you talk to a simple doctor, or you speak to the maid and the maid knows everything you need to do. But if you talk to the professor he will say, no, we don’t know exactly what it is. What, the professor doesn’t know? He says it is unknown. The cleaning lady knows, and he doesn’t? Meaning the more reason, the more pain. The more we advance along the way we understand that there are many components in each and every state, and this way to cut it and give it out and say in a clear way about every single state that it is like that, is impossible. Because this stems from the very basis of nature which is all made up of many contradicted discernments. Hence the more we come closer to corrections and the end of correction, more deficiencies and more lights connect together by the Masach, the screen that balances between them. Between light and darkness in all these discernments and then we are in the middle and the Creator holds this state and only thanks to Him it all exists and is being sustained that way. Because He is the middle line that arranges these things this way. When we look at the system we are like it is written in Purim, and the city of Shoshan was perplexed not knowing who the Justice was with. The will to receive, we must have it, it’s the whole of creation, the desire to bestow, we need it because it’s all of correction and how to combine between the two. Here, we are perplexed until the third middle comes and decides between the two, until the Creator makes the decision and tips the scale. This is how we are in life all the time and here we have to understand where we need the Creator and to cry out to Him, demand from Him and ask Him to decide and connect.

S. (01:04:09) The demand from the Creator is to hold on to this tension, because it is a huge tension to hold between the two of them?

R. This is what He wants to do between us. Each will be included in these two parts of creation, light and darkness, the desire to receive and the desire to bestow and for us to ask Him, “He who makes Peace in the heavens to make peace upon us,” in such a way the Creator is revealed. Meaning The Creator is revealed specifically in states in which we are in despair. Truly, we are not capable of depicting to ourselves how it is possible for it to be together, this and that together, and this is possible, but it is only possible by the revelation of the third line between us. Therefore all the wars, all the problems, all the troubles eventually lead us to an unsolvable state, one that cannot be solved but only where the upper light, the Creator himself arranges these two opposites together. We understand from this state that we are in that only the third force, the upper force, can create order here. Therefore we put our hands up and expect Him to do, “He who makes peace in the heavens will make peace upon us.”

34. S. (01:05:46) We need to use an axe you said, I have nothing else but to use an axe. But if to cut with an axe but not to cut with an axe, what else do I have as a tool and what else can I choose what to do?

R. This is the main thing where every single moment we have new scrutinies. Therefore all these moments exist in a differentiated way, so you connect all these moments to the flow of life and what you are lacking is just the Creator to arrange them, to accompany you and bring you to a state of the end of correction, the correction is by all of these opposite states connecting to one. Where it’s seemingly impossible, this is the whole war there is between everyone and between us and the Creator. This is the war that is impossible for us to combine these opposites, light and darkness and it doesn’t work out in our mind or not in our heart, but the Creator arranges these things for us, this is called faith above reason. Only by us rising above ourselves to a higher degree where the Creator controls and rules. From Him comes these two opposites and in Him they reconnect  by our request. 

Item 47 and 48 (01:07:51)

35. R. (01:09:33) Meaning from the disclosed providence.

36. R. (01:11:00) Here he is giving us definitions. If we know the Creator, the presence of the Creator in our life somewhat here and there, somewhat it is called that there is nevertheless some form of concealment but concealment and revelation in the one form. If we feel the Creator in a clear way this is called revelation, the complete revelation and if you do not feel the presence of the Creator in our times, in our lifetime this is called complete concealment, double concealment. Between all those states we find ourselves. Of course not now but as we advance, we advance in these four degrees of concealment and revelation. It’s not like prior to that, we go through degrees of concealment and then degrees of revelation as it appears to us but rather this is in an alternating way. Once like this and once like that, where there is no revelation unless there is a concealment before that and every step along the way there is concealment, revelation, concealment revelation.

R. The still, vegetative and animate we see in our life there’s no Creator, there is a force of vitality, then natural for it. That’s it. The Creator is the force that is required of the created being, when the created being wants to resemble the Creator, only by that need of the created being too resemble the Creator and then the Creator is revealed in the created being. That’s why our prayer is the main thing that can help us, for the Creator to teach us what deficiency we must have and demand it and how can we receive it and accept it correctly.

S. There is a separation between those degrees to the speaking level, man. There is a separation between those degrees and man?

R. Still, vegetative, animate is called nature man’s degree is above nature, that’s why everyone is a beast, we are, until we receive the force of bestowal then we are called Adam, resembling the Creator.

S. That is where all the degrees start?

R. Of course, only there, according to the extent of the will to bestow clothes in you, to that extent you are called Adam in all 125 degrees.

R. The Creator is concealed in the Torah, this means that he intentionally gives you all kinds of actions, thoughts, desires in which he is revealed in concealment. This means that you, by engaging in it, you start bit by bit to feel that the Creator is hidden, otherwise you are like any other person that doesn’t feel him. 48. S. (01:38:58) What does it mean to choose correctly in every state given throughout the day?

R. To be in contact with Him. How do I organize by myself my next state, that I turn to my friends, that I turn to the Creator, and I establish ourselves together, all of us Israel, the Creator and the light are one? 49. S. (01:36:01) How to help friends to make the choice not to run from the pain because of the concealment but beside the pain bring the Creator?

R. We need to live in the ten in such a feeling that the pain brings joy, joy. Why? If I’m going to a doctor to cure me and he gives me a shot which gives me pain or maybe even an operation and I even paid for it. That’s how I should see these things. Happiness, joy, which is what should be in the group even in states that we see that there is no goal, we can’t see anything, there it is dark, we must be happy because all the states bring us closer to the goal, that’s what it’s called being in Arvut and holding onto each other.

S. You’re saying that to help, I have eight more friends I need to personally think of each one of them that they will think of the Creator?

R. It doesn’t matter how, I am not limiting anything. I’m saying don’t let go of the connection with the friends and the Creator in the connection. Everything should be together and only out of that you are looking at life, you are drawn to that alone and very quickly you will discover that the Creator is with you.

51. S. (01:39:08) What is the best approach in the state of darkness or concealment? When I face the ten, when I’m in the lesson, what is my attitude in the state of concealment?

R. That through the connection between us as much as we put our hearts and minds to be tied together in one, we are chasing the concealment away and we are discovering the Creator.

52. S. (01:39:55) All these events that are happening in the world now, there are a lot of friends in Bnei Baruch that are completely disconnected, I don’t even know how to ask or how to give this?

R. Why, why, so am I asking, why does that affect what’s going on? All these wars. Why does this affect people to disconnect from their spiritual advancement? Because that specifically gives you a clear answer and an ability to reach a solution. What does that throw them off from the wisdom of Kabbalah? That they think that by that they will come closer to the truth, closer to a general correction, they’re simply running away like small children, they shut their eyes and I can’t see. They think by that they can solve the problem. A wise person has eyes in his head, what does it mean that he has eyes in his head? He’s looking at what’s going on and how all of this brings us closer to the correction.

It is true that these are great torments humanity is going through but there’s nothing to do about it, there’s nothing to do about it. I told you that I once had a problem in all my body, with my skin, my skin, pieces were falling off. There was this disease, a phenomenon and so when I went to have a walk with Rabash nonetheless, I remember the winter, the wind, the rain, I was breathing heavy because he was less, it was less hurtful when the rain and the wind would cool my skin off. When these things will be revealed, you cannot connect these things. You can’t reach love, connection, no. But love covers all crimes and that’s how he will happen, when, when all the crimes are revealed then the Creator will be revealed. When all the crimes are revealed then He will be revealed.

53. S. (01:44:55) You said something that was really painful when you said it. That you had such a condition where your skin and you were able to overcome it, but the question is different. Am I allowed to boast about my group, how great they are, how they are better than me and how they bestow?

R. Yes, there is nothing greater in this world than your group and that’s how you should feel. I feel not just talk about it but to feel.

S. It is really felt in my group?

(01:45:56) Continuing the question about the suffering example with Rabash, if a person concentrates about thinking of the friends it is like the example you gave about the food when you think about the friends you start feeling the flavor, so you also stop feeling the pain if I think about the friends?

R. Of course, of course. If I think about something great, meaning in a higher degree then I stop feeling the torments of my degree. I don’t know how to replace it but that’s the way it is. Ask your wife how much she suffered during childbirth, right. Women suffer a lot in the process of childbirth, during the childbirth but do they want it again? They want to become pregnant again, why? The goal in her of course that’s how the Creator holds that obligated her to be a mother again. Time and again, and she forgets about all the torments but rather she feels that she gives birth to something that gives her a feeling, a feeling of love.
