Baal HaSulam. The Peace (Proof of His Work by Experience)

1. S. (13:40) Why does Baal HaSulam naively romanticize what the communists did there? Basically it’s just terrorists and murdererss that gave jobs to people.

R. Wait. First we have to understand how he’s saying it and when he wrote it. It’s not that you see communism in a certain way or capitalism or socialism. He’s speaking about the ideology itself. That communist means that we are all brothers, that we’re all concerned about one another, that we work in a way that we devote ourselves for the benefit of society but not connected to the Creator, and that is why not succeeding. That’s what he means by pure communism. Do not compare this to what you have now. Or like Karl Marx was speaking about communism and all those communists from the 19th century.

They were speaking about what they saw in nature, the wholeness of nature. The connection between all the parts of nature also obligates us because we come out of nature. And also we need to be connected in a mutual way and then everybody will feel good. But in what were they mistaken? That you can educate a person to be an inseparable part of everyone because that’s against human nature. That’s the Creator that put an obstacle there and won’t let us connect in a way we can support each other, That’s it and it has nothing to do with what we have now, what’s being revealed now. It’s not communist today or capitalist today or socialist, everyone are only egoists. In this way we have to approach the solution which is still connection, but connection that we draw from above the force of connection. As much as we succeed to draw it from above and connect, to that extent in the connection between us we can get the upper abundance.

2. S. (16:37) Teacher twice in the article he mentions that you need to love the Creator with all your might, with all your heart, with all your soul. What are these three categories?

R. We don’t have to go into the philosophy or scrutiny. We just have to reach a state that the Creator is clothed in us in each and every cell, in every force, every desire and is conducting us. By us annulling ourselves from everything and annulling ourselves towards Him. Meaning that we connect between us, we annul ourselves, each one towards the other and each one towards the Creator. Then when we are annulled before the Creator we reach the complete fulfillment called the end of corrections, Gmar Tikkun.

3. S. (17:51) Why does he position here the USSR against Western culture? Because even those who work in the kibbutz don’t work in bestowal. It turns out that only the Kabbalists can move towards that. So what kind of thing is he talking about here?

R. Again I’m saying it. What he wrote and when he wrote and the way we’re observing what he wrote. Obviously no connections in all kinds of degrees. Except for spiritual degrees nothing will help humanity to reach correction and fulfillment. That’s it and all the rest of what he wrote he wrote it for his time, he couldn’t write it in a different way. Because then there were still all kinds of forms of connection between people and they thought maybe they could still do something in this way or that way. This is even before humanity had completely fallen from this whole lie called building socialism, communism and so on.

Now it’s already clear that these things are not possible for us to keep. So that’s why nothing is left today. Also capitalism is not the way used to be because it is mixed up with all kinds of social forms and it doesn’t have the same face it had before. Where each one only thinks for himself and disregards the others. But today for you to be able to get the right result from your workers in society you have to give to them and be concerned about them and so on. So it all changes very quickly.

S. If you were to disseminate this article today, what would you change? How would you change the words for the sake of the Creator? Would you say for the sake of the whole society or what? how would you say it in the non-religious way?

R. We have to think how to do it. I did it once maybe 4 years ago. Somehow it was accepted but I was also a different person and society was different. Today we need to try and process it in a way that the general public can receive it correctly. That they will want to understand what the wisdom of Kabbalah is speaking about. Obviously all these examples that Baal HaSulam is  talking about won’t be relevant for the young generations today. They don’t even feel these things.

4. S. (21:26) To summarize what he says in his in this whole piece, he says you can’t love others without the Creator?

R. Right, who’s going to give you that force of love?

S. So how can you explain such a message? You said in the beginning that people have to understand the Creator and turn the Creator. As soon as we talk about turning to the Creator it sounds like a religious explanation.

R. It’s completely not a religious. Why are you all thinking about religious? That turning to an upper force, the good who does good, dwells in all of reality and advances us towards corrections, who turns in such a way? You turn to the Creator to give everyone what they want. A Creator that gives human ego what man wants, that’s what they think the Creator is, give and take.

S. Right but how can you say to a a person to turn to nature or ask for something without it sounding religious?

R. The force that works in reality, what’s the problem? All of our reality is interconnected, we see that through science and this force develops all of us. So let’s see is this force good or not? Toward what is a good? Towards our ego or to educate ourselves like parents who want to educate a lazy child. And how to bring him to the good in such a way that we can connect and advance.

S. As long as we talk about forces like gravity it’s clear but I don’t turn to gravity to ask for something.

R. You can explain about it just like gravity, no problem.

S. What does it mean to turn to that force and ask for something?

R. I’m working in my plea towards Him as a force that’s working. Prayer is a force that I’m activating and I’m working in nature with it and today it’s more tangible and closer to each and every one more than it was 50 or 100 years ago. Back then it was really religious, today it’s already becoming scientific. A person activates his inner forces his inner physics, chemistry, biology and it is not religion. By our thoughts we are activating the world. Even if we still don’t feel the thoughts themselves the way they’re working and the response for them it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Today we can speak about it much more than we could a hundred years ago.

5. S. (24:56) We see that everything happening in the world for a long time already from what we read now. What do we do as your students in order to feel that all of this reality is for our unity first and then understand what we need to do about it?

R. Do what we’re speaking about just in your group. Then it will be clear. I have nothing else to answer. Because what you have asked, it’s not clear what are you’re asking. You’re not scrutinizing in your question what you want to ask. We don’t have time now. Next time you have to say exactly what you want.

6. S. (26:03) I want to clarify if the word truth has two meanings and I’ll explain. We learned about the word truth regarding the four qualities that Baal HaSulam mentions and it’s not necessarily the quality, the attribute that humanity can follow. The attribute of peace is more successful. Now there’s also the Godly truth as it says I am the Lord your God truth. So how does this word work in these two contexts?

R. It doesn’t work yet. We have to open these concepts and see how they’re connected to all of us, how they all encompass us. But truth, Emet is a term and there’s Emet, truth which is the force of the Creator which behaves with reality according to the nature it created. That’s why truth includes all of reality. It is the Creator’s relation towards the created being He created.

7. S. (27:38) In terms of using this article for dissemination maybe we need to talk about the necessity to serve the Creator and not the need for it?

R. Yes.

8. S. (28:02) He says here something very extreme. He says this whole exalted work of bestowal upon the other it has to be for the sake of the Creator. I don’t understand how the work is for the sake of the Creator. What does it mean?

R. In order to keep the general law of reality which is pure bestowal to all parts of creation from each and every one. Your impression has nothing to do with it now.

9. S. (28:40) From what Baal HaSulam writes it’s not just Russia Ukraine or Belarus, we all are responsible for this. As he writes now that these corruptions appear in such a sharp way clearly the lack that people have towards the upper force will also sharpen. How is it possible to use everything that is happening? Of course everyone feels it differently but how can we use it to help everyone advance?

R. Explain in all possibilities that connection between everybody, above all wars and contradictions, that connection needs to simply be revealed. That there is no way to complete these things without troubles to keep coming; if not for the connection that we have to determine upon every state, that’s it. It is no matter who is right or wrong. Connection is the only action and nobody presses on the other but only helps to reach the connection and not in a way that he fights the other in order to reach the connection, like they say we will obligate them for peace. You can’t obligate for peace. That you can write about, that you can speak about.

10. S. (30:47) Baal HaSulam says that Dvekut is the source of good and pleasantness and truth. What are the required conditions for humanity to see this as a source of fuel in the work?

R. The conditions are simple. We have to explain in all languages as much as possible that the connection between everyone is the only thing that is according to the laws of nature and only that action will get a blessing. Meaning our right attitude from nature. Sooner or later the connection is the only thing that can exist and connection can be under the condition that I relinquish towards the others as much as possible for the connection. If we do this in a mutual way it will exist and I need to give examples of it to everyone, and especially our organization should go and explain it and give an example.
