HESED: MITZVA 387

MITZVA 387 That a person with a physical blemish shall not serve (in the Sanctuary) (Lev. 21:17) (negative). 

Leviticus Chapter 21 וַיִּקְרָא

יז  דַּבֵּר אֶל-אַהֲרֹן, לֵאמֹר:  אִישׁ מִזַּרְעֲךָ לְדֹרֹתָם, אֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה בוֹ מוּם–לֹא יִקְרַב, לְהַקְרִיב לֶחֶם אֱלֹהָיו.

17 Speak unto Aaron, saying: Whosoever he be of thy seed throughout their generations that hath a blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.
