MITZVA 383 That a High Kohein shall not go (under the same roof) with a dead body (Lev. 21:11) It has been learnt by tradition that a kohein, who does so, violates the prohibition, “Neither shall he go in “, and also the prohibition “He shall not defile himself” (negative).

Leviticus Chapter 21 וַיִּקְרָא

יא  וְעַל כָּל-נַפְשֹׁת מֵת, לֹא יָבֹא:  לְאָבִיו וּלְאִמּוֹ, לֹא יִטַּמָּא.

11 neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;
